Postino Kierland Scottsdale Reviews from The Last Year
Love this place! Great food, atmosphere.
Friendly staff , will be back to visit for sure!!
Great food, service was awesome and great atmosphere.
Every time I go to Postinos it's always a great experience. I'm impressed with the amount of good workers they have on staff.
Unique Place
This place is kind of unique in that it does not serve a traditional big dinner. The largest selection I believe is a beef sandwich on a French roll with chips. They have a lot of small nibble type of things to order. It's nice if you want to have some sort of a dinner but not a lot of food. Think quality over quantity. We actually had a mixup with our order. When I contacted the restaurant through their web site when we got back to the Hotel they were very nice about it, which takes effort. And they followed up. So, I give them cudos for such an adult thing to do.
Tried going here again.
The bartender was very rude. Paid my tab and left will not be back to this place.
Cool place.
Nice decor. Our server seemed inconvenienced when we did not enjoy the first choice of bottle we had. We honestly are pretty low maintenance being industry workers but that was a bit discouraging. After that it felt like we were a bit ignored. Got AWFUL food poisoning after the bruschetta board. Sometimes I joke about the food poisoning being worth it if the food was good but even the bread felt like stale cardboard. Usually I am a huge fan of Postino which is why I am still giving it 3 stars. Had a decent time though! Will return inevitably, probably wont make the bruschetta mistake again.

Sam Otterson- give that guy his wine!!!!! In all seriousness though, Sam is a great waiter. Very kind, approachable, and seems like a fun guy. He also makes his own music... what more could you want? We love Postino's & could not recommend more!
Very disappointing dining experience, we spent about one
Very disappointing dining experience, we spent about one hour in the restaurant and were not even able to have any food. We arrived for dinner after being in their waitlist for a bit, and were offered a table outside. About 20 minutes into our meal (we had already received our drinks and were waiting on the food), it started to rain and get windy to a point they had to turn off the heaters outside and it became unbearable and our two kids. We went outside with our drinks to ask for options and we were told by the host that we would have to wait another hour for a table inside (even though there was one available right in front of us). Our waiter pleaded to the manager (who never bother to come talk to us) that our food was ready. Ultimately they were adamant the table inside would take another hour, but they could box our food for us with a discount (to eat outside in the rain or in our car???). We said that unfortunately that was not the dining experience we were expecting, we had to pay for our drinks and left to a restaurant across the street where we were able to get a good meal right away). We understand the restaurant does not control the weather, but the handling of the situation and overall customer service was terrible. They would rather seat first folks which had just arrived, waste the food we had ordered than let us have for a 20-30 min a table that ironically no one cleaned for the time we were pleading our case and we waiting for a solution from the manager. Pity, the food looked good, but after this terrible experience our family won't give this restaurant another shot.
Food great.

There's room for improvement...
The four of us visited Postino Kierland in Scottsdale, Arizona on a Monday in December, 2023. When we walked in there were very few diners at the time; 11:30am. We were cordially greeted by the hostess and escorted to an inside booth facing North (no pun intended, a restaurant called North is right across the street to the north). After a few minutes our waitress came over and asked us if we wanted any drinks or appetizers, which we declined. Then we asked for a few minutes to read the somewhat limited menu. After about ten (10) minutes the waitress returned. She explained to us that that all of their food server staff would be taking care of us. So if we needed anything we could ask any of the staff for help. Then we ordered. I ordered the Nine Iron Panini and my wife ordered the OMG Grilled Cheese. After about a fifteen minute wait our meals were delivered by a different staff member. Our meals were prepared properly and were appropriately hot. My wife said the OMG Grilled Cheese was one of the best-tasting she had ever experienced. My Nine Iron Panini was of a generous size and pleasantly tasty. So we approve of our meals. The one segment for improvement within "the whole experience" is in the area of their service methodology, i.e., fragmented service. While it may sound like a great customer-oriented strategy to have all food servers theoretically responsible for the diners' experience, it falls short in the categories of attentiveness, timely execution and accountability. At least that was our experience. By contrast, when we have one primary waiter or waitress solely responsible for taking care of us, they have a propensity to pay closer attention to our dining needs, versus the rotating staff that have their focus somewhat diffused across all of the diners in the restaurant. Example: Our small glasses of water were not refilled until we were ready to depart. Overall: For the total lunchtime dining experience, it was enjoyable, but average. The room was very noisy as the acoustics were not conducive to a reasonable volume conversation...we actually had to shout at each other across our booth for four. The initial waitress was very pleasant and informative. But after we placed our orders she seemed to disappear until she came back with the bill. Food was to our satisfaction. But to be candid, the prices were lofty, i.e., one panini and one grilled cheese sandwiches, plus tax and tip = $37.
A delightful experience all around!
Postino’s is a great spot for lunch. We love it! Bruschetta board with 4 different choices with a $6 wine glass until 5 pm cannot be beat. The outside patio is perfect on a lovely afternoon. The servers are outstanding, friendly and attentive. Jack looked after us dutifully! Ren was the manager and she was so kind and helpful. A delightful experience all around!
The right bartender makes for a special evening!
We stopped by for a glass of wine and met Emilie. She helped us through the wine list. Food was great, especially the shrimp scampi and the chicken skewers. Great energy and motivated staff made our visit special. Thanks Postino!
Great atmosphere for Happy Hour
Absolutely the best Postino location !... the bar staff is friendly, and they have an unpretentious way of helping you find a wine you might enjoy without the prerequisite Scottsdale shaming by a guy in handle bar moustache and fedora
