It was not a good experience. Very disappointed
We were so looking forward to this experience, and we were very disappointed. We ordered all at once:, as suggested by the waitress: cocktails, four dishes, a carafe of house wine with the dishes, and bread, and we asked for the bread to come first.
We had some very delicious food here.
We ordered sweet potato fritters (a little over fried and was very crisped), charred tiger prawns had a delicious sauce (but shell on so a little messy, but did come with finger bowls), roasted carrots (small portion and overpriced), mushroom risotto
We had an amazing dinner at NOPI tonight.
We ordered many small plates, one main course, and dessert - all shared plates. We started with roasted eggplant with lime achar and onion that was delicious. Next was charcoal grilled tiger prawns, another tasty plate. And we had a really interesti
have to go!
Loved the ffod and the service was great service but the noise level was over the top and unfortunately no place for people waking were on top of you and we couldn’t hear each other across the table. I follow Ottolenghi and use his cookbooks so it
A pretty disgusting lunch
Such a shame - I was really looking forward to eating at my first Ottolenghi restaurant - my friend had booked it. We ordered 5 small plates as recommended and tbh not a single one of them was nice except the burrata - which you basically don't
Incredible array of delicious and interesting dishes in a
Incredible array of delicious and interesting dishes in a relaxed setting. One of my best dining experiences in a long time. We particularly loved the lamb kofta, the blackened chicken, and the sweet potato fritter.
let down by service
I was pleased to get a seat without booking. As we like Ottolenghi’s food and creativity. However, all spoiled by our waiting person. Firstly, he miss guided us about the menu then almost every 2 minutes pestered by him. Food was OK, nothing very
Disappointing. Expensive. Go to ROVI instead.
I was expecting the food to be as good as ROVI. Sadly the vegan options are limited. The food presentation is poor - they hide the small plates under micro salad (personally I don't like that). Very expensive for how small the plate is. Only mus
Delicious fine dining in London
Came here while on a two week trip to the UK. I am a huge fan of Ottolenghi cookbooks and was so excited to dine one of their restaurants. The food was amazing, service staff very thoughtful and helpful. We shared a few appetizers and mains and had
We love Ottolenghi and constantly rave about their dishes
We love Ottolenghi and constantly rave about their dishes and cookbooks...and we were so excited to try Nopi. It was good but we were a bit disappointed (perhaps we caught them on an off night). The service was wonderful (kind and helpful and atten
Unforgettable experience at Nopi
We had a wonderful afternoon at Nopi - our second visit to one of Ottolenghi’s restaurants after enjoying Rovi last summer. This time we were celebrating a double anniversary with friends, and from start to finish the experience felt special. We w
Conflicted: Great Food, Ridiculous Prices
We have wanted to eat at an Ottolenghi Restaurant for a long time. We own a couple of his cookbooks and know that the food is very good. And it’s true…the food was very good. We had a terrific waiter and followed many of his recommendations.
First off, do not sit downstairs unless you enjoy spending
First off, do not sit downstairs unless you enjoy spending $100/pp to sit in a what feels like a storage room next to swinging bathroom doors. FWIW, we sat at a very nice table in the back of the upstairs (main floor) dining room...I wouldn't
Delicious food
Beautiful spot for a special lunch. Wine is expensive . Buckwheat and yuzu dessert is delicious. The staff are very attentive and friendly .
This bustling Ottolenghi spot is always busy.
We love the communal tables so we can visit with other diners. Tonight did not disappoint. We sat at the bar to start and my husband had a delicious cocktail, an easy speak, which featured an artichoke amaro, FEW rye and sugar. I opted for two ve
Make the trip
This is an Ottolenghi-owned restaurant and that's abundantly clear when you see the menu and then get your orders. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, with recommendations if you want them. Dessert was out of this world!
Pretty bathroom, Don’t do the shared tables
Overall I had a nice enough experience, the staff were wonderful, great cocktails and interesting decor. For the hype, however, I don’t think it’s worth it unless you are able to sit upstairs in the restaurant. Sitting at a share table downstairs
This was the best restaurant we had during our week in
This was the best restaurant we had during our week in London. Have recommended to multiple friends and family.
We were very excited to get a table at NOPI and it lived up
We were very excited to get a table at NOPI and it lived up to our exceptions. Every dish was fresh and flavorful. Ottolenghi uses large quantities of herbs and spices to enhance the dish. The ground floor is lively and the wait staff attentive witho
Wonderful dinner, loved everything we ordered.
Attention to detail and flavor combinations were amazing. Recommendations from the server were all excellent and welcome. Ambiance was relaxed. Will definitely be back.
After a long morning of sightseeing, my family hit a wall
After a long morning of sightseeing, my family hit a wall and we needed a break and some food. After hearing about NOPI from many friends and seeing their amazing Yelp reviews, we took the double decker bus across town and did a bit more walking with
Avoid!
Poor, avoid! Be careful not to be trapped by other reviewers here; I’m unsure if they are real—Ottolenghi representation is worst here. The menu is not as attractive as expected; the food is overpriced and poorly executed, with dry meat and barel
memorable experience
A restaurant with phenomenal food, with a unique mix of flavors, located in a very interesting area, high prices but with good reason
Disappointed
We ate at NOPI 9 years ago and had a fabulous meal, which is why we returned in May. I'm sorry to report that it's not what it once was. The food wasn't that great, the service wasn't that great, and the atmosphere wasn't that great -- and it's exp
Disappointing
Rude waiter. Fish wasn’t fresh. Aubergine was burnt. I’ve been to less well known restaurants with better service AND food. Surprising and disappointing. Booked as a joint birthday treat with a friend. The only polite person as a different waiter
Simply delicious and unforgettable
We love Ottolenghi's cookbooks - and for my birthday I got lunch at NOPI. We ate various dishes and for the main course we had roast duck breast with sumac and peanut crunch. Everything was simply delicious and a pleasure. The service was top notch a
Every bit as good as we expected.
We have at least five Ottolenghi cookbooks which we use a lot. When we knew we were heading for London, we made a point of making a booking. Couldn't get a table upstairs so we took spaces at a communal table downstairs which we had doubts about but
We were perhaps expecting too much
Perhaps the expectations of an Ottolenghi restaurant are too high, especially if, like us, you are an absolute fan of his cookbooks. We had reserved weeks in advance and were looking forward to the evening. Unfortunately, the restaurant is very loud,
Food, drinks, deserts all great, can't wait to go back.
Lovely kitchen and bar staff (who made me a strawberry cocktail to die for and explained me how to recreate it at home since I don't live in London. The chefs were incredibly accommodating when I couldn't decide between desserts. Also cool restroom
Cozy place, incredible food and wine offer
This restaurant is an incredible place, not only for the welcoming but at the same time minimal design, perfectly studied for colours, shapes and symmetries, but also and above all for the food. It constitutes a true adventure of flavors with a menu
Great Experience
Elegant, yet simple style dining. Seating on main floor or community style downstairs. Food was creative and met our gluten free-pescatarian needs. Good wine list!
Never disappoints
Always faultless & fresh. Come here nearly every year when I am back in London and again it never disappoints. The wine list is amazing too
Not Great
Very Expensive for what you get,but half the dishes were tasty, complete rip off wine prices, beer selection poor and eye watering prices,on the plus side waitress did a great job, just a shame i left feeling ripped off and still hungry.
Dinner at Nopi
Late afternoon/early evening dinner. Very pleasant ambience and relaxed atmosphere. Staff and our waiter were attentive and pleasant and food was delicious. Style of eating (dishes served when ready rather than in strict order) really suits our pref
An Excellent and Children Friendly Lunch
We were in London for a short vacation and we went at NOPPI as a small family for lunch. We don't usually eat much at lunchtime, so I can't say whether the meal was hearty or not. Though I think we would have ordered two or three extra dishes for di
Wonderful!!!
Wonderful! My taste buds are still buzzing! Always extraordinary and balanced pairings, the dishes and especially the vegetables are sublime! And what about dessert!!! We shared small plates (count 3/pers) to discover as many dishes as possible, and
Smoke and Mirrors …..
We appreciate quality products are served however in our opinion the price didn’t match the offerings in this instance as a dinner experience. Very disappointing Burrata. Wine list ridiculously expensive - no sound average options offered. Service
Had all the vegetarian options and the food was incredibly
Had all the vegetarian options and the food was incredibly delicious and creative. The staff was professional and quite attentive. Nothing but smiles and good natured wait staff. Ambiance was modern and inviting to anyone.
I love this restaurant.
Plan at least 2 visits every time I go to London. The food is original exceptional always surprising. Have never been disappointed with a dish. My favorite London restaurant
Blessed
Second time here with about a year in between. Vibe and atmosphere unchanged, still almost full every day. This time we sat at the bar, which gives it a little more dynamism. Dishes arrived quickly, still very tasty. Nothing to complain about. Sharin
Little overpriced... lovely ood though.
Loved this restaurant... having tried to recreate many recipes from the book.. love this style of food...everything on the menu looked and read lovely....my only gripe and so sorry to say this...absolutely no value for money ... slightly overpriced..
Husband booked the wrong restaurant and was disappointed with the food
I'd been wanting to go to Ottolenghis for years (was 50 in 2020 when Covid hit so dipped out) and didnt know my husband had booked as a surprise this month to go. I didnt know the Soho restaurant was the more upmarket sister of the other restaurants
Amazing food, but we felt very rushed. The restaurant needs to concentrate more on a relaxed customer experience.
The food was amazing, the vegetable dishes (celeriac, broad beans, etc) were fantastic. My only complaint is that we felt rushed. We ordered drinks, but the waiters didn’t allow us time to sit and enjoy them before insisting we order our food. T
Even better than in cookbooks 👍🏽
Pure ecstasy! How to delight your palate in a relaxed atmosphere. If the choice of Otolenghi restaurants is vast in London and you are staying in hyper, book and go there. Between the à la carte option and the formulas to share, it’s just sublime
Will be back....... sooner rather than later !
A little Gem of a restaurant. Food absolutely outstanding ...... utterly exquisite. Service impeccable with wonderful suggestions from our waitress. Our family of 5 had a wonderful luncheon and an absolutely fabulous experience. Thank you so much.
Very Disappointing
As a staunch Ottolenghi fan, my goodness I was disappointed by the food here. Three of the four dishes we ordered were unbearably sweet - I would say the cauliflower dish was verging on inedible. The duck main was chewy and fatty, which was SO disapp
We had unexpectedly delicious dinner at the bar at NOPI.
The bartender was really chatty and seemed to deight in his work. My husband had a "charcoal martini" was was odd but good, or so he said. The food was inventive. The burrata appetizer was excellent as was the black key lime tart. I espe
A disappointment.
At the outset you are informed that you have the table for 2 hours, although we were rushed from the moment we got to the table. I didn't even have my jacket off before the server asked if we wanted to order drinks. I said that I didn't have a chance
Unfortunately they must have been having a bad night.
Upon seating us we were told we had our table For 2 hours. When our drinks game out at 20 minutes and our first of 3 appetizers at 40 minutes I was thinking, there's no way we are going to complete 2 more appetizers a main and dessert in the next 1.
My dining companion and I had a late dinner here on a trip
My dining companion and I had a late dinner here on a trip to London first week in July and, while a few of the dishes were quite yummy, NOPI is going to be a NOPE next trip. Overall, the experience was disappointing. Too bad as we're big Ottolenghi
