Michael Warring Vallejo Reviews from The Last Year
We recently ate at Michael Warring in Vallejo for my
We recently ate at Michael Warring in Vallejo for my husband's birthday and had the best meal of our lives! Every course was so unique, full of amazing flavors and was meticulously and artistically plated by Chef Warring who used special tweezer-looking tools and chopsticks to achieve the beautiful look. We asked to sit at the counter so we could watch the prep and plating of each course, which was an experience in itself. After the meal Michael graciously agreed to a photo with us; a treasured reminder of our very special eveining! The wine parring was generous and enough for two to share, especially since there were five wines served. Our server (Michael's wife) was super cheerful, helpful and efficient. We loved the entire experience of eating at Michael Warring!

We visited Napa back in September and I'm finally getting around to leaving all of my reviews! We stayed in an Airbnb in Vallejo during our trip and I kept seeing Michael Warring pop up as the best restaurant to visit. We were not disappointed! This is by far the best meal/dinner experience we have ever had (literally ever, but just while we were visiting Napa). Since we were only in town for a week, we opted for the Thursday night 12 course menu to get the full experience. We ended up being 15 minutes late due to unforeseen issues trying to ship our wines back to Indiana before leaving the next morning, but we had called ahead and they were incredibly gracious. We were also lucky to be seated at the counter and have an up-close viewing of everything being prepared and plated. Everything we ate was amazing. Literally no words to describe it properly. The plating was beautiful and each course came out on a fun dish. They had a great selection of wines, but I opted for a couple of glasses of bubbles since it was the last night of our trip. Michael and his wife were such a well oiled machine, never bumping into one another, always sort of floating around bringing courses to guests, and keeping everything pristine. The small dining area makes it very intimate and keeps the ambiance light and enjoyable. I would 1000000% recommend dining here if you are able to make a reservation ahead of time. We would love to be able to come back here and dine again.

Wow. Just wow. The chef and his wife run this fine dining prefix menu establishment like a well oiled machine. The intimate experience is perfect for a special occasion. The food is prepared in front of you with style and grace. The wine pairing is on point. Each course looks like a work of art almost and too pretty to eat! The flavors take you on one unforgettable experience.
An exceptional dining experience at Michael Warring.
From start to finish, every dish was curated with deep thought and intention. Flavors were thoroughly developed and crafted to complement each dish that followed. We went here for their valentine special - $114 per person for 7 courses each. We also opted to bring our own bottle of wine for a corkage fee. Our favorite dish was extremely hard to pick, but my boyfriend settled on the caviar dish and I fell in love with the polenta! Our favorite dessert piece was the pear sorbet with carbonated pears. The pears had an icy, pop-rock like texture when bitten into, with the sabayon offering a sweet reprieve. I will most certainly be back again to experience a meal like this again. While ambiance was standard, the service was just as good as the food. Michael and his wife were kind and incredibly attentive to each guest who dined. I truly don't understand how someone could write a bad review, because this experience was far from what they said.
My wife found this place for my birthday.
The menu regularly changes based on what is in season and fresh. Every single course was absolutely amazing and creative. If you want an amazing meal, run don't walk to Vallejo and check this place out. You will NOT regret it.
My boyfriend, our friend, and myself went to Michael
My boyfriend, our friend, and myself went to Michael Warring last night to have his 12 course meal. I saved my appetite anticipating the 12 courses awaiting us. The restaurant is quite small and the ambiance was drab with an open kitchen. I expected flowers or candles on the tables but there wasn't any. When we arrived we were seated by Michael's wife who wasn't that friendly. Right away Michael was preparing the first second and third course which was uni, crab and caviar... the portions were abnormally small and the uni was Yuck..I also had crab shells in my crab dish.. Before I continue the 12 course meal was $125 each with a $30 corkage fee because we bought our own bottle of wine. Not to mention they also made us give them our credit card number when making the reservation..Back to the food when Michael's wife presented the food she didn't explain any of the ingredients which was very weird considering the price. Our fourth course was a half of scallop hardly enough to enjoy. I was expecting a salad of some sort but no that didn't happen. the fifth course meal was bread with persimmons jam and truffle shavings on top which was disgusting; I didn't even eat it. All of the portions were tiny and I was starving so that alone was disappointing. The sixth course meal was polenta with a poached, egg and leeks. I took one or two bites and left it on the table. Michael's wife walked over to our table and I told her I don't like raw eggs she snapped back saying; It's not raw, it's poached with a bad attitude. She was a horrible waitress and totally unfriendly. My boyfriend and our friend didn't even touch theirs. At this point we were totally upset and starving. The portions were so small and the flavors did not go well together. The dishes also didn't have any or no texture. It was kind of just mushy. We were ready to go at this point. For the big finale, the main course. They were serving pork that's all it said; was pork not how it was prepared just pork. When they served us this tiny, deep fried pork ball with broccoli and some other vegetable the pork ball was mushy in the inside and stringy. Again my boyfriend and our friend didn't touch theirs they were ready to go. We were still very hungry and that was it no more food now straight to the dessert menu. It was so disappointing and wrong. We asked for the check because we weren't staying any longer and our bill was $449.mind blowing. We didn't even eat but yet we had to pay almost $500, it was a terrible dining experience, and I would never be going back to that Restaurant it was a total rip off.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere.
A special place to celebrate with your special friend.
We got a New Year's Eve meal kit to prepare at home.
It came with instructions on how to prepare each part of the meal. The kit included -Tsar Nicoulai Estate Caviar, chowder, creme fraiche, brioche -Filet Mignon, hen of the woods mushrooms, potato gratin, truffle jus -Dark chocolate torte, chantilly cream, salted caramel, candied pecans Everything was delicious and easy to prepare!

I was shocked at how bad this place was after reading such high reviews. I went with my husband to celebrate my birthday. When we walked in the first thing I noticed was the overwhelmingly disgusting smell that was some combination of alcohol that had spilled on the floor mixed with a dirty mop they had used to clean it? Also the music was blaring and they were playing some awful mixes all night. They have no taste in music, creating a nice ambience or decorating. The tables were too close together and left no room for privacy. The wine pairing was awful. Some wines were so sour, some were bland, others were too sweet and they mixed whites and red. I felt sick by the end of it. The food ranged from ok to disgusting. The first dish was overly sweet and rich, some caviar with chocolate. Then slimy flavorless dumplings with mushroom sauce. Then there was a rubbery, flavorless tempura. The noodle dish was disgusting. The noodles were barely cooked and with an almost raw egg on top. The chicken confit was a horrible texture and overly chewy. The ice cream with kimchi was a horrible idea and I could already feel it churning in my stomach. Was this a competition to make the most disgusting pairings you could think of? I don't know what the hype is about with this place. He feels like a con artist trying to show off his cheap quality food with fancy technique but even if you have a slightly good palate you can tell that all his flavors are off. SO off. I gave my husband most of my food and wine to finish because I felt like I was going to throw up and he will literally eat anything.... Uptight, stuffy, pretentious and downright not good food.

Went to this two person (husband and wife) restaurant for their prix fix menu. Everything was excellent. I think their max capacity is 20 people. We sat at the counter and watched the preparation. It was impressive, especially when you realize that the chef is one of the two owners. They change their menu seasonally and I plan to go each time they change their menu. The only thing that I think could use some improvement is the directions to their place. It is right by a gated community in this small strip mall. We drove by it twice because they don't light the place up until it actually opens. We drove by it twice. Once you get there it is a wonderful experience. I've had so many great meals in the US. We are lucky to have such a gem in our area. Take advantage of it! You won't regret it!

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!
Worked perfectly
Was a little nervous at first but was pleased to see that the booking went through flawlessly.
Highly recommended.

I didn’t have my hopes high as it was a party of 4. In 24 hours I had a carbone reservation available! I was very happy as my family really wanted to come here

perfect
Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

I will give you 50% of ALL of my PROFITS if you teach me how to make profits?
LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.
Appointment
Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
