Poor customer service management, cross out for those who work in tourism
Very, very, bad attitude of whoever attends the open part of the place. When you arrive at a restaurant you have to sit and wait for your companions. But the bartender or waitress asked me to get up or ask for a bottle of water. Without knowing that with his attitude he is scaring away a potential client. That's not professional, I guess clients can avoid the trouble of cultivating contact with a person who could have stayed in this place once their friends arrived. Terrible, I have also been working in tourism for years and that is not done.
**SCAM ALERT**
**SCAM ALERT** I ate here tonight with a friend. We ordered a $14.95 pizza, a $13.95 calamari, a $9 glass of Malbec and a Mojito. When the bill arrived, it was $78.72. I’m not worried about money, I’m more concerned about the thieves who work there. I asked to see a copy of my bill and not one but two staff members told me that there is a fee for food service and that there is an area to leave an additional tip for the servers. Now we all know that’s a flat out lie. To avoid a scene, I paid and tipped $15.00 on the $78.72 already grossly inflated bill which brought my total to $93.72 which is preposterous. When I got home, I called to dispute the charge with my credit card company (which I will do once it’s not pending) and they advised that my bill was $69.12 which is still ridiculous given our food and drink items only add up to $55-$60. The servers ended up making an extra $30-40 by scamming. Beware of this place. I don’t have enough bad things to say fast enough about this experience. Of course all of these reviews on Google and Yelp and so on could have been easily avoided if someone answered the phone there tonight but when you dial the number you get a recording that states the party is busy and can’t receive calls. This is another part of the scam. They do this to people all the time apparently. Deceitful employees, non-responsive management, and mediocre food.
Want pizza? Go elsewhere
Overpriced and underwhelming food. Service is marginal. We ordered bruschetta and two pizzas. The bruschetta was mediocre. The pizzas were undercooked and reminiscent of a middle school cafeteria. The crust was caked in flour and the cheese and toppings tasted very bland.
AVOID TERRIBLE SERVICE
we got seated then asked what we wanted to drink, he then came to take our order and was told we were not ordering enough for sitting at a 4 person table that they had sat us at. Such a awful attitude from the waiter who was seeing to us. I was so annoyed about it and told another member of staff to go and tell him to cancel the food we would pay for our drinks and go somewhere else for food. I would not recommend this venue at all they really need to sort customer service out, totally shocking!!!!
Skip it… bad service
Cute spot by the water. Drinks are pricy. $16 for small virgin pina coloda is absurd. Food was ok, nothing memorable. Service was poor. Waiter never checked on us or refilled our water. We had to flag someone down. Had to track down the waiter to get our check. He was pleasant when we were able to find him. It was not busy at all, lots of empty tables. Restaurant adds in charges for gratuity. I did not leave extra as service did not deserve it. (I was in food service industry for 10yrs and always tip well when deserved). The waiter actually chased my friend down the mall to ask why we did not tip extra. She stated gratuity was included. The waiter stated /lied that it went to the back of the house and bar that the extra was for him and we basically stiffed him. Since I paid the bill, she had no control over it. The audacity of this guy to chase someone down regarding this is absurd. If he would have done anything else besides take our order he would have gotten more but with gratuity already added, I didn’t feel it was deserved
Horrible customer service
Garbage place. We were looking to eat and because we were only two they wouldn’t let us sit on a table. Ridiculous to say the least! Empty tables all around.
Horrible service! Unclean bathroom. Only savior was decent food.
Service was horrible! We only had water with our dinner, so our waiter basically wrote us off. Never inquired how our food was, never came around to refill our water, and never asked if we wanted anything else. We then were shocked to find that a 15% gratuity was already included in the bill when there was only two of us dining. Our waiter did not deserve it! Oh and the bathroom was disgusting. Standing water around the toilet, over flowing garbage and unclean. As I got into the restroom someone was loading in a bunch of luggage, a large travel bag and other stuff. I asked if they were in line and they stated that they worked there! Weird. The food was decent. Sat outside and was great people watching. However, I will NEVER return. RIP OFF!
Honesty……unknown!!!!
The place is simple and the music is good, you could have a pleasant time...if it weren't for the fact that the beer is hot and they charged me additional money without my permission after having asked to authorize my card for the actual amount on the bill... Another detail is that they charge the mandatory tip directly to your account without giving you percentage options. But I will never go and try to get my acquaintances to do the same.
Don’t order a cocktail here.
I wish I had read the reviews first before ordering a cocktail. $26 for a frozen strawberry daiquiri is quite steep, especially when it looked like it came out of a Slushie mixer (see the photo)… It’s the most expensive cocktail I had in Miami, and probably the least appealing. The Caesar salad I had (with chicken) was fine. I haven’t gotten sick from it yet. The chicken wasn’t the greatest quality, but it was edible. Some of the croutons were burnt, but at least it had them, and plenty of shavings of Parmesan and crunchy green lettuce. It’s a nice place, open and clean with comfortable seating. The staff aren’t particularly attentive, and at one point I was the only customer sat inside, but it’s not bad. It’s just… not good. On the whole, I won’t go back, but don’t read the reviews if you’re here and not go. It’s not a terrible place. Just don’t have any cocktails and make sure you ask for your drinks in a standard glass and check the prices first..,
Bad customer service
The place is a scam on its drinks. They push blended drinks and then you have to buy the glass. We tried to cancel right away but they wouldn’t cancel the order. The drink was $26. Poor customer service to not just cancel the order before it was served to us.

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.

Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
