Jelly Cafe - 13th Ave Denver Reviews from The Last Year
Disappointing
I was shocked at the poor quality all around. The meal came before the donuts and before the coffee that we ordered it didn’t seem like there was any concern for the order of our order. The toast was cold and unbuttered. The potatoes were hardly pan seared mostly steamed and lukewarm. The scrambled eggs looked old and brown. What more can I say? Disappointed in my local favorite.
We stopped in while waiting for a car repair.
It is a great neighborhood spot with a local vibe. Loved the decor with the diner feel. Had the veggie benedict and it was delicious. The potatoes came out cold but they immediately let the kitchen know and it was fixed right away. I'm never worried when something comes out as an ooops but I truly appreciate when the staff addresses it immediately. The hot brown sounds amazing and we will definitely be back to try it.

This restaurant is super cute, hole in the wall kind of place (from the outside I would not have guessed what it was). The interior is a bit eclectic - decor includes old cereal boxes, a teacup chandelier, etc., so not sure what the vibe was. I ordered the breakfast burrito with green salsa, and it was delicious - everything was cooked well and there was just the right amount of heat. I was full halfway through but couldn't stop eating it. We ordered 8 donuts (one of each kind) to share and I was a little disappointed. They were fresh and made to order but just not wow worthy. My least favorite flavor was the Thai peanut (which contains sriracha, in case you're not a fan), but I did enjoy the cream anglaise and the Mexican chocolate. I wouldn't bother with the donuts if I came back here, but would definitely order the burrito or other main entrees!
Ordered the Chili Benedict.
It looked like actual slop, tasted pretty close to it, half the biscuit was so soggy I couldn't actually identify it and the other half was so dry that there wasn't enough slop to make it edible. When it was brought to my table, it was slammed down so hard that the egg yolk broke...pretty impressive for a poached egg. The potatoes were boiled and chopped up. No flavor or seasoning, no wonder they have to add a dollop of sour cream. I ate what I could thinking I was just being particular before i gave up with the stomach rumblings. Then the server brought me my check, and it was incorrect. Had to stop and get sick before I got back home, which was a 15 minute walk. The whole experience felt like a fever dream. Awful all around.
Customer service was extremely disheartening.
Especially for a local that is very active in supporting our inner city community.
Breakfast May 2024
A nice small breakfast spot in Denver. I had the breakfast burrito it was pretty good. Wife had the salmon Benedict she said it very good.
Great food.
Great atmosphere. Our favorite place for brunch in Denver. Amazing food and drinks.
Waited for more than one hour for a table of 5.
The pettiest service i've ever seen, talked to the host & then she deliberately tried to delay the service even more for asking about the status of our table after waiting for AN HOUR. More than 20 people were sat before us. We were told our table was going to be ready in 5 minutes. Took 25 min to clean a table. WORST SERVICE IVE EVER SEEN.

Delicious food, loved their signature donut holes, I got the flavors jelly filled (which is not actually filled but topped), creme anglaise, salted caramel, and mexican chocolate. Also enjoyed the eggs benedict. Cute 80s inspired decor, uplifting atmosphere. Busy place so would recommend taking advantage of their online reservation system or the option for bar seating if you don't feel like waiting for a table. Overall, perfect breakfast spot in the Denver area.

Had a good time at Jelly! They're a pretty busy spot but we luckily got seated quickly at the bar. Loved the lively Sunday morning energy here. Their Chai Latte was delicious and so was their Breakfast Burrito! I'd skip out on the Salmon Benedict though. Definitely want to come back to try something new on the menu!
Got food poisoning here yesterday.
I hope others are ok. My partner is worse off. The food was meh and not as good as expected. Cute place but I saw our waiter eat something bare handed at the bar. The salmon in my partners food tasted a little extra tangy and the oat milk in his coffee seemed a little strange as well. My potatoes were like soggy, flavorless, I was expecting them roasted and crispy. I thought I got by unscathed but a couple hours later I too had demons. Really good way to ruin a day
This is hands down our favorite brunch spot.
The wait to get in tends to be long but is so so worth it. Food always comes out quickly and never fails to be incredible.
A Tasty, Vintage Treat
Food was great from the oatmeal to the French toast. The coffee was great! Heck all the food we tried was delish. We went on a Saturday morning, so there was a wait, about 30 minutes, whew and the parking situation is terrible. The parking right next to the building is for employees only. You have to find street parking. We found it about 3 blocks away. The customer service was great! I loved this place!
A breakfast (and lunch) joint for the ages…
Outstanding everything at Jelly, the people, the food and the drinks. We had a few days in Denver, this was the standout food across the whole trip…yes, even those trendy Denver dinner places (that place style over substance) didn’t come close to the quality, fun and value of Jelly. All this and lovely people who care and look after you. GO!!
Fresh, delicious food!
So yummy! Stopped here for breakfast before a tour of the Molly Brown house. Food was so fresh! Started with the donuts then the breakfast scrambles. Split the blueberry lavender pancakes and ate every bite!
