FIG Charleston Reviews from The Last Year

What an exquisite place! The sign at the front stated that FIG = Food Is Good. At this place? It certainly is! Our server (Dana) was very knowledgeable of the history of the dishes, and drinks that paired well with them. They do have a sommelier available to assist in selecting appropriate wines to coordinate with meals. We opted for the well-reviewed ricotta gnocchi. It definitely has earned its reputation, with its silky texture and pillow softness. The bluefin crudo was also light and a nice palate cleanser for our next course. Our mains consisted of the wagyu dish and the bouillabaisse. The wagyu was fork tender (cooked medium rare), and the bouillabaisse was bright and full of flavor. We were way too full to have dessert, but if we were to return, we would need to try the sticky sorghum pudding with walnuts and amaretto ice cream. See you next time, FIG!
Really unique/delicious dinner with fresh ingredients.
The best part was the dessert (that I forgot to take a picture of). We had cream puffs, dessert cocktails and a bread pudding type dessert with amaretto ice cream. The space is intimate and cute, perfect setting for a date night!
This place was a meh for me .
... Mind you I only got dessert... the dishes that I did see come out seem a little over rated in my opinion. Seemed to be over priced average food. As for the dessert I ordered... "Sticky Sorghum Pudding"? ... not sure where they came up with the name but it was cake; the cake itself was dry & it was served with a literal 1/2 scoop of ice cream... If they gave a full scoop it would have helped with the dryness of the cake ... overall flavor was like a 3. I think they were attempting to lure people in to the it was Gordon Ramseys sticky toffee pudding ... but they missed the mark big time!! Nothing else looked appealing on the menu or in the Yelp pictures, which is why I only came here for dessert. But wasn't impressed with that either. Would suggest devoting my time elsewhere.
Absolutely the best in Charleston.
Worth the wait for reservations. Whole staff really goes above and beyond. Atmosphere is impeccable.

Oh, Fig, you so impressed me and it's not a figment of my imagination. Farm to table concept. The dining experience at Fig is above and beyond. The shrimp spaghetti might just be my favorite pasta dish. The flavors were delish. The crispy shallots balanced out the bite of the arugula salad with the sharpness of pecorino and earthy matsutake mushroom. Creative culinary dishes.
Couples dinner
Fig restaurant exceeded my expectations in every way. The appetizer, Bouillabaisse, was a true highlight, bursting with flavor and perfectly complemented by the delightful atmosphere. The food and drink were both stunning. Overall, I left feeling inspired by the culinary experience at Fig.

e had an early dinner around 5:30 pm since it's the only time they had for reservation. Our waitress was friendly, knowledgeable on the drinks and meal menu. The inside of the restaurant was nice and has the dim romantic light setting but not a modern styles. The appetizers were great and our dinner was good too. Their dinner portion is quite small so be ready to order different appetizers before your dinner but the food is good!
Hands-down, one of our favorite places from the well
Hands-down, one of our favorite places from the well thought out plates, to our server who was kind in helping with any dietary needs. The space was romantic and clean. 100% recommend!

We were here tonight for my son birthday celebration we very excited to try your restaurant we heard so much good reviews about you guys . Reservations @9:30 great with time we got right in. Then came our server not to helpful when we ask about the menus she seem very annoyed by our questions asking what items at the restaurant is known for she keep saying our menus changes every day we are award winning restaurant which is not helpful when we want a suggestion. We order pate , gnocchi , shrimp scampi for app was great ! We got to entrees was disappointed. Seafood bolognese was the fish was not fresh at all very fishy quality. The grouper was fishy not fresh at all bit cool not even hot . The pork was the best on entrees tonight . Dessert was very well done . We were there for 2 hrs for a fine dinning known restaurant we expected better deco and seating but we felt we were at a hotel conference room with cracker barrel wood hard chair outdated cheap seating . 2 hrs wine and dinning left us very sore uncomfortable seating . The type of money the restaurant come in every night my suggestions to invest back to a well established businesses you had for the local to continued to support the restaurant not a one time experience.

The server Jonathon by far gave us the best service of any restaurant all week. He was sincere and passionate about the food and made the experience that much better! The decor was very nice and simple. Each dish was unique, especially the gnocchi with a twist. The Flounder over a light NE Clam chowder broth was the best piece of fish in years that we have enjoyed! Overall a must to experience.
Romantic restaurant with exceptional service.
This restraint was charming with exceptional service. The schnitzel was the best I have ever had in my life, perfectly crispy with a cider vinaigrette salad on top which was a great flavor combination. The cocktails were delicious and strong. Our waitress was excellent. We really enjoyed our dinner.
Charleston is a foodie city.
If you are reading this then you know this is a highly recommended restaurant. In short it was just ok. Compared to other stellar restaurants in this area. I think it needs to be said that the food, and the service were not yo to the standard I expected. We booked our reservation 28 days in advance and the only available time was 10ish. We came a little early thinking maybe we could get in sooner or sit at the bar. There were open seats mind you. Once we were sat we felt the energy from the waitress. I get it. It may have been a long night. But why have a late reservation time if you aren't going to give the same service you give at say 8pm? The food was ok. Nothing worth writing about. But what really left a bad taste in our mouths is that they turned the likes on with a room full of diners. We felt rushed. And left without trying dessert. Like I said, the food was ok. But in a city with exceptionally mind blowing food this did not do it for us all around.
Glad we did it once. Other options might be better.
Enjoyable experience. Gnocchi and potato purée were the highlights. Steak, while good, was not great. Service was excellent - our waiter was top notch. While we enjoyed and happy we experienced this place - I don’t think we would go back with so many other options to choose from in Charleston.
Happy in Charleston! Secret seating!
SO glad this place was recommended to us by our travel guide. Well worth the visit! Secret....they are booked 1 month out but they sit 13 seats(bar and communal table) with 13 seats and they flip about every 1 1/2 hours so dont be afraid to walk in. We got there at 4:45 for a 5pm open and got a bar seat no problem. Small menu but each plate we got was sharable and delicious. Cocktail list was great and wine by the glass was great. Honestly might be one of the best meals I have had in a while. Service was top notch! we will be back!
My husband I and I stopped into the bar at 5:05 pm.
The restaurant just opened for the evening and we sat at the bar for a drink. After the bartender brought our drinks, she asked if we were ready to order and we said no, we were just here for cocktails. She quickly let us know that she would have to "talk to us about that" (aka we needed to leave) because there may be another customer that wants to order food. Working in food and beverage previously, I can understand the frustration with customers only drinking and not eating. However, we were planning on ordering a bottle of Cabernet at the bar, making up for the lack of food order. Nonetheless, the hostess knew that we were here for just drinks and led us to the bar. If there was a protocol for "food and drinks only" at the bar, the hostess should have said so. We are locals and will never be back. The service is terrible to say the least. We were very disappointed.
It was a nice place.
It was a little dark and the potatoes needed salt (only reasons to knock off a star). The service was EXCEPTIONAL!! Each staff member we encountered was gracious and knowledgeable! The food was exactly as expected and in accordance with all the reviews! The birthday touch on the table was very personal!!! Certainly should try when in Charleston!

From start to finish, we enjoyed what we consider to be our best meal thus far in this city. The staff are all knowledgeable about the menu and clearly know the meaning of quality customer service. The place is breathtaking, and the food is so great that the restaurant has earned a James Beard award. Thanks to everyone who helped make our night so special. This place is the definition of true Southern hospitality which is even reflected in the enthusiasm of the other diners. Our servers Jonathan and Sheila are superstars who enhanced our experience thanks to their passion for professionalism and just being great people along with everyone else on the team. And I should note that their steak tartar has real truffles in it which, of course, makes it the very best one we've ever had.
Best gnocchi on earth.
My favorite restaurant in Charleston. Get your reservations early.
Loved!! Jennifer took care of us.
Excellent service. Pate, tartare, pork schnitzel, swordfish, potato puree, desserts all wonderful.
This Charleston staple has been around for a long time.
They hardly need my review because clearly their reviews speak for themselves. However, I wanted to say that my dining experience at Fig was spectacular! The Bouillabaisse was amazing. And our server recommended the Ricotta Gnocchi + Lamb Bolognese for an appetizer. It was so flavorful. I do not have one negative thing to say about Fig. It was crowded but reservations go fast. We luckily booked close to a month in advance. Service was incredible. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who visits Charleston.
Food is good.
The menu rotates based on fresh ingredients but a good variety - meat, fish, etc options. I am a pescatarian and plenty of options. Cocktails are well made and solid wine list (I am a picky California). Service was friendly and helpful. The restaurant is nice - choose to eat at the bar even though I had a table reservation. Make RESERVATIONS!
Delicious and unique.
Thoroughly enjoyed the entire night! Great atmosphere too. Will definitely be back!
Stopped in for a drink at the bar recently.
The service was better and more personable when I dined at a table a few months back. I remember the food being a bit underwhelming for the price but am looking forward to going back and trying more. As far as ambiance goes, this place fills up quickly and consequently is a bit noisy but not in a bad way!
Best dinner in Charleston and beyond
The food and service were both the best I've had in a very long time. We had three appetizers (four guests), and four entrees and all were wonderful. Our appetizers included Shrimp&radicchio salad, Gnocchi, Chicken Liver Pate - all delicious. Our entrees included mustard crusted swordfish, bouillabaisse, and grouper. Each was excellent. The sommelier helped us select a great chenin blanc - all around 5 stars.
FIG stands for Food Is Good, which I just love.
Quaint, cozy, kinda dark but in the best way....FIG will quickly draw you in and make you feel special. Attentive and knowledgeable staff, beautiful and thoughtful food....i would happily go back again and again. Late night meal for us so we just ordered drinks, entrees and dessert. We got the mustard crusted swordfish (they had me at capers) and the cast iron wagyu bavette. The wagyu wasn't as tender as I expected but the flavor was deep and rich and it was cooked perfectly. The swordfish had all the elements I was looking for it was bright and fresh and just the right bite everytime. The sorghum sticky pudding with amaretto ice cream was lovely. I loved it. I really want to go back and just sample all the desserts because that chocolate budino sounded really good. Solid, classic and always a great meal.....love FIG!
WONDERFUL DINNER!
What a fantastic dining experience! The food, the service, the ambience. Morgan and Bobby go out of their way to make your night terrific. The menu changes daily and everything is delicious. So good that we went twice in a row! You definitely will not be disappointed. We are looking forward to our next visit.
Phenomenal Dining Experience
I ate at Fig when it opened and was thrilled to get reservations last night. We had a fabulous meal. We had Beet/Homemade cottage cheese on brown bread, Gnocchi, and fried duck salad for appetizers. The salad was out of this world and though, usually, I'm not too fond of Gnocchi, this was delicious. I ordered the Tilefish which was wonderfully fresh, but a bit salty. We also had the Truffle Potatoes which were addicting - truly. We finished with a sticky sorghum toffee and amaretto ice cream that was spectacular. Thankfully, my husband and I split this as we were stuffed. All the hype about Fig is well-deserved! If you can get reservations, do it!
This restaurant will make your trip to Charleston a great memory!!
The treat of treats. This dinner with my husband and sister was the most delicious fare I have ever eaten. Along with the finely prepared choices was the terrific wait staff. We were tourists in Charleston and came across FIG on one of our walks. We got there at 5:00 pm and were lucky to get seats at the bar. From there we were delighted with dish after dish, good wine, and excellent dessert. The menu changes often. Don’t worry. No matter what you order you will be delighted.
Top dining in Charleston
We ate at Fig at the recommendation of a chef from our hometown of Baltimore and it did not disappoint! Our server, Bobby, was very helpful and made excellent recommendations for both food and wine. All of our dishes were perfection and the wine paired perfectly. Highly recommend!
very nice evening
the place was great in all aspects. we sat at the bar and had a reallt good time - good food, good drinks, the bar tenders were very attentive. we had the gnocchi and boulebaisse. dessert was god as well. highly recommended
4.5 stars if they would allow
Solid service and a very good meal. The snapper app needs some work - the fish is fresh, but the dish’s muted presentation matched its uninteresting flavors. The bouillabaisse, on the other hand, was excellent!
Anniversary Dinner
Food was great! Server was distracted by her other tables. Expected better service and a description of the food.
Making a Great Dinner Even Better!
When I dine at a really good restaurant, I'm reminded of Sherlock Holmes's comment on the quality of a portrait, stating, "I know what is good when I see it". That, plainly, is how I felt after our dinner at FIG. It was Friday evening. Because the next available reservations were a month away, we decided to linger around the front door of the restaurant, starting 15 minutes before it opened at 5:00 p.m., guessing that they might have a spot at the bar. We were soon joined by at least 13 other people who were thinking the same. We were invited in at 5:00 and offered a place at the bar or the communal table. We chose the table and ended up sharing dinner with five of the best dinner compatriots, all excited about enjoying a wonderful dinner! My selection of the Bouillabaisse was delightful. My wife, a light eater, chose the Roasted Porchetta Tonnato, and we shared the Yukon Gold Potato Purée. We ended with the Sticky Sorghum Pudding for dessert with Slow Motion Guatemala coffee. Many compliments to the chef that evening, Mike Lata, and our waiter, John, who made a great dinner even better.
Low Country
We really looked forward to eating here and were not disappointed. Excellet food. In particular was the tomato tart, very delicious. The burnt eggplant and cottage cheese was an interesting dish. The desserts were stellar. Perfectly made panna cotta and the sticky sorghum pudding, god, how great is that! Have had multiple variations of it such as sticky toffee but this IS the best version I have ever tasted, don't miss it. We also tried the chocolate budino. I couldn't wait because this is my all time favorite dessert. However, it didn't measure up ( the standard is at Flour and Water), was more like pudding.

Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate

Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

Yes unfortunately they are finding more and more ways to lock up sellers money. Sell thru rate, refund rate, limiting withdrawal amounts ler day and per month (which for me are the same number which makes no sense). Lot of sellers leaving as you can see from the lifetime sales not really increasing. Most posts on here are frustrated sellers which is not a recipe for success

I’m sorry to hear about this - I’m a brand new seller on the platform and didn’t realize this was a *thing* - any chance you can point me to the fine print/documentation where this policy is stated (also identifying other caveats like this would be appreciated)?
