0/5 DO NOT RECOMMEND. All the negative reviews are true; steer clear of this place. Save your money and avoid the absolute worst service in GTA. Our experience at the restaurant was horrible!!! Despite reserving weeks in advance for my sister’s 17th birthday, we were seated alone in a chilly area near the patio doors. We requested a new table, but despite empty ones being available, they couldn't find one for us for over an hour. Eventually, we reluctantly began dining at the cold table (in our jackets), as the place was closing within an hour or so, all while barely receiving any attention from the staff. We were served only three pieces of meat and two sides, and it took over 20-30 minutes to get a bottle of wine and the beers were flat. We were continuously overlooked for meat options, and when we voiced our concerns, the staff responded rudely and dismissively, citing excuses like "you haven't fully settled at the table," which we had already done. After finally moving us to a different table, a manager (with glasses, regrettably forgot his name), came by and brushed off our concerns, stating that addressing our needs made his job harder. Isn't providing service part of running a restaurant? Then, another manager (with a ponytail, regrettably forgot his name as well) approached our table and, without listening to anything we had to say, threatened us with an ultimatum to either leave or stop complaining, as they didn't want any issues when it came to paying the bill. He wouldn't even hear us out. Instead of ensuring customers receive a good experience, he opted for issuing an ultimatum. Unbelievable! We didn’t cause a scene, merely requested quality service, given that we were paying for dinner 500$+, including tips (though this place didn't deserve it). This upset my sister greatly, and we only stayed to salvage her birthday celebration. She began crying, but the last manager with the ponytail showed no concern. He didn't care. He continued with his "behave or leave" attitude. He's the absolutely worst manager, or whatever his title may be, we've encountered. He and all the other servers (particularly all the male servers, for some reason) were extremely rude and shouldn't be working in this industry. If you're reading this, I urge you to consider quitting, because you and your staff are not suited for customer service roles whatsoever. Perhaps consider working in a grocery store or something that doesn't involve interacting with customers. If not for my sister, we would've left immediately. After all the issues, they finally started bringing us meat and sides. Overall, zero-star service. I read somewhere in the reviews that this place reopened not that long ago, not sure if that's true, but they definitely need better staff; otherwise, they should just shut down. The food quality was okay, but many dishes didn't taste as good. Just save your money and go elsewhere. You're better off having one good steak at a proper steakhouse than paying top dollar with 18% tips for absolutely terrible service and mediocre food quality.
Carnivore Nirvana!
Absolutely wonderful experience! The all you can drink option is a great value! Staff was extremely attentive and friendly. Delicious meat kept coming throughout our evening and there was never a moment’s delay to get sides or drinks. The cocktails were VERY GOOD! Our group of seven tried most of them and everyone agreed! We highly recommend Copacabana and thank the staff for a wonderful evening!

We recently dined at Copacabana Toronto and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. Despite the promising menu and ambiance, the service was terrible and the manager's attitude only exacerbated the situation. Firstly, the waitstaff seemed overwhelmed and inattentive. It took a very long to receive our orders and we barely got any meat. Our food arrived lukewarm, indicating it had been sitting out for some time. The real disappointment, however, came from the manager's behavior. Instead of addressing our concerns with empathy and professionalism, he was dismissive and even rude when we tried to express our dissatisfaction. It's disheartening to encounter such poor customer service, especially from someone in a leadership position. I believe Copa Cabana needs reconsideration of management practices and staff training. Customers should feel valued and respected, especially when they are paying $360 for a 3 person bill and barely got anything to eat. Lastly, they sneakily added 18% to the bill without informing us about it. I hope this feedback is taken constructively and leads to positive changes in the future as we will not be returning here ever again.

Wow. DO NOT VISIT THIS RESTAURANT! What a disappointment and difference from the Copa Cabana of old. I decided to celebrate my birthday at Copa after not having been there in probably a decade. What a mistake. The food was good but the service was not. I’m taking, drinks taking so long that we started ordering 2 at a time, our table constantly being skipped over, and our side orders not being placed. That still wasn’t going to get me to write a bad review but here’s what did… We mentioned to the manager, Gary, about the service, the server and also commended “JP” who was the only one that ensured we got the things we ordered even though he was not a server. The manager did nothing except thank us for our feed back. Ok fine. When the bill came, there was an 18% gratuity automatically added (Party of 5) . We advised the person cashing us out that we would like to remove the tip and add a manual one ourselves. Shortly after this, the manager came back to our table and refused to take the tip off. He said that based on the fact that there was a birthday dinner (birthday patrons eat for free if there if there are at least 4 paying patrons) he could either charge me for the dinner or remove the tips. I had stayed quiet until this point, however at this point I spoke up. I explained to him that everyone was still intending to tip, cash, however based on the service we were not comfortable with the 18%. He insisted that he could not remove the tip so I asked him, based on the feedback he received, and that he had a table full of people who were extremely disappointed with the service, what he would offer as a solution. He offered for us to pay for all the dinners and remove the tip. Now, for the record, this was offering us absolutely nothing as we would then in fact be paying more. After asking him again if that’s what he felt was the best he could offer, he said yes. When I told him ok, leave the tip and we would let the review speak for itself, he said they were used to that and left the table. This is the point that got to me. After the bills were paid, and the rest of my party left, I asked to speak with him again. I simply wanted to ask him why he was not willing to offer disappointed patrons any type of courtesy. I ended up asking for him twice, both times he looked over and walked away, never actually come to speak with me which I found extremely rude. This is clearly not the Copa of old, or a restaurant that appreciates their patrons. They are relying solely on merit which is quickly fading. Please do not visit this restaurant ever!

Great ambiance service and food!! The food was so fresh and delicious. Loved the music and the vibe in general. Great to go with friends or family
GO SOMEWHERE ELSE
My niece wanted to go as a birthday gift from me. We were expecting a great night as she is an elite rugby player and loves protein. I will say that our server Enaya was amazing. She tried and tried to get the servers to bring us food. To no avail. We left hungry and I actually stopped to get my niece a nice dessert along the way as the dessert we ordered never showed up. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE.
Stingy Rip Off!
I’ve never written a review here before but had to learn just so I could do this one. I can’t figure out how to rate a place zero, so I guess it will have to be a one star. This place is a terrible rip off that I don’t recommend. No salad bar, so little meat choice (only red meat) and the intervals are so far apart that you sit for several minutes, multiple times during the experience with nothing at all in your plate. When they eventually show up they bring one of what seems like the same three skewers of meat again. This is a far cry from similar restaraunts that I’ve had to raise a red flag to stop being offered meat while I worked on what was in my plate. I think the business model is premised on serving as little as possible, as far apart as possible until you just get bored of waiting for food and ask for the bill. Then you get slapped with an 18% mandatory gratuity after the terrible stingy service.

Over priced, over packed and raw meat!
We waited over an hour standing in the entrance eventually being pushed into the seating area as more and more people entered, this was with a reservation! It was chaotic! If you like very thin slices of raw meat this might be the place for you. Blood on plate is not for me, like other reviews, seems like you are continually asking for food as they skip by your table. The service is slow, the tip is already put on your bill so they don’t care! The place is over packed and over priced!

It took 10 min to be acknowledged by any of the host staff upon entering the restaurant despite being the only group waiting at the entrance and many staff coming and going at the host station. Luckily we had reservations and only waited 15 min to get our table. Extremely loud, very difficult to have a conversation. Took the waitress 15 min to come greet us at the table, many of the staff with the meat came to see us prior to our server, took 45 min to receive any drink we ordered. Then when we received the drinks they weren't what we ordered, and the waitress never followed up. We ordered appetizers, which we had to ask 2 times to receive because it had been over an hour since we ordered it. We also had to ask our waitress 3 times for water (we finally received water at the end of our meal). Meat servers were coming to our table every 2 min, so we were constantly having to turn the meat servers away. There should be a better system for indicating wanting more meat samples. Made for a very stressful meal. Meat was okay at best. Lastly, we were were getting ready to tip 0% but then upon receiving the bill there is a mandatory 18% for any group bigger than 1 person. I could have received better service and food literally anywhere else for a fraction of the price. I do not recommend.

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.

Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
