Claim Jumper Steakhouse & Bar Tualatin Reviews from The Last Year

We went for Mothers Day, my wife and I had a very good dinner. Even though it was busy, we had a reservation, and they called us up right on time. Our service and food were very good
I met a brother and his grandson for lunch.
The building is nice with an Adirondack feel (but wrong end of the country). They have various lunch options at tiered prices. Two of us had half sandwiches with a cup of potato cheese soup. It was very good. I was also pleased that they had Heineken 0.0 which is one of the better na beers.
Claim Jumpers going down hill and more expensive
I’ve been going to Claim Jumper’s for well over 30 years and have been to 6 different ones. Made reservation for my birthday when we got there we still had to wait 20 minutes asked for a table and was given a both that could not fit us we waited another 20 for a table and was switched. 3 of the drink glasses were cracked. My son ordered the lobster Mac N cheese it was horrible. We took it home and I thought I could fix it it was beyond fixing it took the lobster out and put it in Kraft Mac n cheese. They have also stop serving bread with meals and no longer offer salads with a meal. My husband broccoli was drenched in olive oil. Even though we said it was a birthday celebration nothing was done. This will be our last trip there.
Went in on a Sunday evening with a party of 6.
We were seated pretty quickly and we noticed it was kind of odd that both the waitress and the hostess wore masks. I thought Covid was in by 4/7/2024 already. Oh well. I got the combo trio with ribs, chicken and steak. I also got two sides with it and I got the Mac and cheese along with the mixed vegetables. Both were pretty good. My steak and ribs were delicious. The chicken looks like it came pre frozen. When I first got there I signed up for the MVP rewards program. I noticed it did sign up that I would get $10.00 off of my bill for anything over $30.00. I made sure to let my waitress know this prior to placing my order. We had our appetizer combo plate which was delicious too and our meals. The food was hot and it's tasted really good. We got some $12.00 drinks. I asked for a water and she got me one but not for the other 5 in the group. We ended up taking alot of food home with us. I received the check and asked the waitress to take the $10.00 off that I told her about when I first got there for applying as a MVP member. She took the receipt back to her manager and my bill was still the same price. She just told me that next time I come in I would get $20.00 off. No!!! That's not what I wanted. I wanted the $10.00 off my bill today. Not later. I don't even know if I will ever come back there. Just please take it off now. I did not complain about it. But come on man!!!

Decided to come here for dinner on a Friday, despite all the negative reviews on here. Overall, the Tri-Tip steak was excellent and the service was good. Granted, I got there before the dinner rush. By the time I left, the restaurant was quickly getting packed and I could see the level of service was dropping. My only real complaint was all the dirty glasses hanging above the bar.

Never have felt so discriminated against before our valentine's day dinner at Claim Jumper's. To start, we had reservations for 2 at 5 p.m. When we me and my fiancée arrived there, for some reason they couldn't find our reservations which we had proof of on a phone app. No big deal. We were still seated because the dinner rush hadn't started yet. Ordered our drinks, appetizer and dinner within the first 15 minutes of being there. Meanwhile, the restaurant is filling up with more customers from wall to wall. They were seated promptly and orders being made while we were waiting for our food. One after another, they were all getting their food and being waited on before us. I could see this because our table was in the middle of all the booths and other tables. After being there more than an hour, our waitress comes up to us and says,"I totally forgot to put your order in." We were sitting in the middle of all the tables and booths so there was no way she couldn't remember we were there. It was noticeable that we were the ONLY minorities in the restaurant. My fiancée is also disabled and has cerebral palsy. I told the waitress that we were going to leave because there was no way she "forgot" about us when she had to bypass us every time she went to other customers. I've never felt so angry and hurt because being Hawaiian, you supposed to have ALOHA SPIRIT. We were kind, didn't ask for anything irrational; just wanted to be treated equal as others. It's upsetting because we don't go out much. Just wanted to enjoy a nice evening and it was totally ruined by what I feel, an establishment that accepts prejudice. I also was hesitant to go there because my sister felt the same way at another location in Oregon.

Salmon/ chicken Florentine phenomenal!! I can give them a recipe for a better coleslaw though. It tasted bland and like mayonnaise. Would be 5 stars with a tasty slaw. Service and ambiance really great!

I ordered the prime center cut filet and I made a terrible choice. It was the smallest piece of steak I've ever seen, tasted bland (I don't think they seasoned it) and it was $50.00. It came with 4 tiny baby carrots and that's it. Had it been the best steak I've ever tasted, it wouldn't have been so painful. But there it is...lesson learn, will not be ordering steaks there again (if we come back).

Good ambience, friendly staff Reasonable price, good food Steak was kind of ok Drinks are nice Blackened blood Mary shrimp and Caramel pecan butter cake is a must try
Went on Christmas Eve.
Food was good and atmosphere was pleasant and quiet. Our waitress was very nice and knowledgeable. Had a good time.
Heading down hill
This place used to be decent. We hadn't been there in a few years, and our latest experience was definitely not up to par. Mediocre food for higher prices, limited menu (it once was huge) and extremely inattentive service.
Great service from our server! Food was good.
We had lunch at Claim Jumper today before going to see a movie with friends, and everyone said their food was pretty good. The friends split an order of fish and chips which was a VERY good thing as they got four large pieces of fish. My husband got one of the individual pizzas and I got the clubhouse sandwich. He said the sausage on his pizza was a little weird as it wasn't the usual cooked sausage, but chunks of sausage.
Spotty Service; Average Food (at Best)
We have been to this restaurant several times in the past, but the first time we have been here since it no longer is part of the Landry's chain of restaurants. It appears that service and the food has gone downhill. We waited 10 - 15 minutes to get seated (as we did not have reservations). When we got into the dining area, I was surprised to see that there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. I'm not sure why we had to wait so long unless they were understaffed. Service was somewhat spotty. It was a little slow and the waiter could have been more attentive. For example, she was slow in checking in on us during the meal and she never came by to refill our water. As for the food, it was average at best, but you do get a lot of food. Two of us ordered french fries with our meals and they were not very good - luke warm and somewhat soggy. It was like the fries were made about an hour ago and just sat there in the plate to get cold and soggy before it was delivered at our table. That was very disappointing. It is hard to recommend this place based on our experience today.
