Capo Restaurant & Supper Club Boston Reviews from The Last Year
Went in today for the all you can eat pasta.
Kiara was a super duper awesome server, she was on top of everything and sooo kind it was very much giving hospitality. I started with the cacio e Pepe and my boyfriend started with the bucatini carbonara. I found the cacio e Pepe to be a little bland; sauce wasn't so flavorful and the meatballs were not to die for. The carbonara sauce was a liiiittle too thick for my liking. With all of this being said the pasta was still pretty good I'm just picky and annoying. Next we got the penne alla vodka and the shrimp scampi. No notes for these two. They were absolutely spot on; vodka sauce was seasoned to perfection and the perfect consistency. They were generous with the shrimp in the scampi, and every piece was cooked incredibly well. The sauce was executed flawlessly; the herbs were super fragrant and the lemoniness really came through, but not at all to an extent that it was overpowering. We finished up with the lobster gnocchi (2 dollars extra if you opt for the the all you can eat, which is a good deal). This one was really the star of the show. The lobster portion did not disappoint, and once again, no notes in regards to the flavor. Perfectly spot on. The restaurant itself is also so so beautiful. Warm, welcoming, and ambient. We will be back for all you can eat pasta
Came here because I heard they have bottomless pasta
Came here because I heard they have bottomless pasta Wednesdays! The place first off was an absolutely beautiful establishment that was huge and will have to go back for their underground area! The pasta was high quality and delicious! I ended up getting a bolognese (first plate is a full plate), then the vodka pasta, and finished off with the corn ravioli! I think the order in which I liked them is the order I got them, respectively but they were all amazing! Such a steal idea if you can eat at least two plates already! Would recommend checking it out!

Capo was a great spot for a girls night dinner! The restaurant is much bigger than expected but I would still recommend reservations. The interior is beautiful, classic yet modern. You enjoy live music at the speakeasy upstairs at their "Supper Club" too. The homemade sourdough was soft, flavorful and paired well with the olive oil mixture. We tried out the sausage cavatelli and sausage penne al forno. Both vodka sauces (one spicy and one not) were full of flavor. The sausage tasted fresh and had a nice texture to balance the soft pillowy pasta. Server was extremely friendly throughout the meal and drinks were reasonably priced for Boston. The only downside is lack of parking and the restaurant was a bit loud and dark. Would definitely return.

We went on their gluten free night (Tuesday) and were impressed with how wonderful everything tasted. Great ambiance and service too. Highly recommend this place.

Southy has some incredible restaurants, this time around in Boston I found out they are mostly under the same ownership group! Capo is on that list! This is an interesting bar because it starts out as a nice sit down Italian restaurant and if you stay long enough, you will find yourself in a fresh out of college bar with a DJ. Great place for a decent meal and a fun vibe after the fact. The also have some of the nicest restrooms I've seen for a bar, major blessing if you venture out late nights.
Capo is absolutely incredible.
I have ordered the Black Truffle and Mushroom Risotto, the Eggplant Parmigiana, the garlic bread, the Tiramisu, uncountable times. The every time, I have been delighted and my dietary restrictions, dietary limitations and preparation instructions have always been considered. I have ordered the Shrimp Scampi this time, and once again the Tiramisu. I reccomend Capo if you are wanting for the authentic Italian cuisine, the imported pasta that persons with complications with gluten have possible to enjoy, and an incredible experience. The personnel is always considerate and proper.

The bouncer was very rude and did not let me in because I sat in an outside chair. As soon as he told me I got up and went about my business. When I tried to go in, he said,"Im not sure I can let you in". To me it seemed very rude. All to say I will be not going here. If you want a good time in southie do not come to this restaurant.
Food was good and so were the vibes.
It is a nice restaurant and their seating area jn the back is near a taxidermied deer head. The tables had a low light ambiance, yk. Also downstairs is a bar club place that had some live music.
Cracking Capo
A fantastic Italian restaurant. Amazing decor. Staff were amazing and helpful and attentive. The food was superb. Great menu with lots of choice. Food was well presented and good size portions. Well worth a visit if you are in Boston

Capo is very lively! The pop music is blasting (they had a DJ!) and the crowd is bustling. I came for a birthday dinner and it was pretty difficult to hear anyone who wasn't seated next to you. I got the penne all forno, which I quite liked! It was also portioned generously, I think I took more than half of it home. Overall it's a fun vibe for a hype night, but don't expect to get to know anyone new in the din, just vibe together to throwback Beiber.
The whole restaurant goes completely GLUTEN FREE on
The whole restaurant goes completely GLUTEN FREE on Tuesdays! And it's still absolutely delicious!! For drinks we tried the sangria and the limoncello splash. Both were a well-crafted balance of flavor. We shared the classics: spaghetti and meatballs and chicken Parmesan. It was enough food for dinner and leftovers for the three of us! For dessert we couldn't decide and got cannolis, torta di chocolate and limoncello mouse. All of them were excellent treats, big enough to share. Some of the most comfortable, delicious, and fancy dining ever!
Best gluten free in Boston!
This was the best dinner we ever had. I would definitely recommend. The inside was so beautiful. The service was so amazing everyone was so happy and welcoming. As our server we had Cat and she was so awesome she helped us make decisions and was very patient with us. We went on a Tuesday so the whole kitchen was gluten free. My mom has celiac and I have a wheat allergy and there was no cross contamination. The food was so delicious and there were so many options. 10/10 I was very impressed and I would definitely eat here again!
Chicken Parmigiana
Excellent chicken parm. Breading on chicken was outstanding and one of the best I've had. Pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was delicious. Highly recommend this dish and restaurant.
I ordered the breakfast sandwich, and it was delicious.
They offered a good variety of vegetarian options. The atmosphere was pleasant, although quite busy due to St. Patrick's weekend. Surprisingly, we didn't need a reservation, and they seated us fairly quickly.

The drink, My Little Sunshine, is the BEST Drink I've ever had!! I would drink this everyday if I could. Diego is a drink genius. I LOVE CAPO
My wife and I chose Capo for a belated Valentine's dinner
My wife and I chose Capo for a belated Valentine's dinner having never eaten there in the past but hearing good things. The waitstaff were hospitable and knowledged. We ordered the caprese dish and Italian gigante beans as our appetizers, both were fantastic. Our cocktails were also well-made and unique. However, we both had issues with our entrees. My wife ordered the chicken marsala. What was served was not chicken marsala. The chicken was flat and breaded like a schnitzel, and the small amount of marsala sauce was underneath the chicken, effectively making the bottom of the chicken soggy while the top remained crispy. Despite the dish not being what it claimed to be, we would not have complained. I ordered the ravioli pomodoro. The serving size was actually bigger than I expected. I ate 2-3 raviolis and they were delicious. But the next ravioli was sour and I had to spit it out on my plate. I continued and ate another ravioli, perfectly fine. The next one, very bad and again I spit it out. I stopped eating the dish at this point and pushed it to the side. I let the server know that it seemed that the ricotta had gone bad in about half the raviolis. She apologized but did not take the plate away. She offered some gelato for the issue which my wife ate. But when she brought the check I was still charged for the raviolis. Unfortunately we decided that despite the initially positive experience, we won't return here if they are unwilling to remove an item from the bill when the diner informs them that the food is inedible. I paid the bill and tipped the server well, but that will be our last visit.
reserved Valentine's Day table months in advance.
stuck us on corner booth where we couldn't face each other. Waitress told us she'd be a minute and left for 20, until I got up and complained to the hostess. asked for chair so I could face my date, manager claimed fire hazard?? Was told in advance that meal option could be made gluten free, told otherwise when we got there. horrible horrible don't ever come here, they treated us horribly on a date that was supposed to be special.

After a previous bad experience, I came back and had a great time. The bar tender was nice and the capri sun was just as good as I remember. The ambiance is always nice and dim. Our server came often but one of our dishes came out a good amount of time later than the rest so she may have forgot one? Not a big deal. The sausage pizza was the highlight for me but the truffle pizza and the vodka pasta were also hits
The pasta here is really great.
I went here on a Saturday night for dinner and was very pleasantly surprised. It's definitely one of the more upscale restaurants that southie has to offer. The agnolotti was delicious but a very small portion. I also got a mocktail that was not on the menu and loved that as well. Our server was great at accommodating this. The only reason I'm not giving five stars is for the loud volume and the tables being so close together. I had to raise my voice to talk and I felt like there was no privacy with the neighboring tables being so close.

Every Tuesday is gluten-free night! If you are gluten-free, and in the Boston area, you absolutely must go. You can get everything from the bread, pizza, pasta, fried items, all gluten-free that evening. My understanding is that they do the deep clean the day before that's why everything can be gluten-free and there is no wheat in the oven. The meatballs are my favorite! They are not gluten-free other nights, so definitely make sure that you get them when you are there ! Can't wait to go to another gluten-free night !

Sat us late after we had reservations and after an hour and half asked to move to the bar. We had a party of 10 people.
The atmosphere was great and the menu is very big.
However, I found the food to be really sub par. I ordered a pizza and my buddy got the pasta neither of us thought either dish was good.
This place is almost 10/10 for me.
The ambiance is casual but classy, our dinner being set to a great playlist. The staff is abundant, friendly, prompt, and helpful. It is very busy on the weekend so it is quite loud and also crowded in the front near the host stand and doors. But busy is always a good sign. And for good reason. I had never eaten here before until now, only having just visited the bar in the basement, but the food was very good-very reasonably priced for quality and quantity. Drinks were nice as well. The tiramisu is a must. I lived in Boston for years and now live in a foodie city that makes most Boston restaurants disappointing to me, but this really stood out! I'd love to come back!
Fun for drinks but avoid for dinner
Been here many times for drinks and pizza which has always been good. However i would avoid sit down dinner. It took us just under 2 hours from the time we sat down till the time we got our food. 7 of us ordered steak med-rare or med; 6 of them were cooked well done and one was rare. Normally we would send back but considering it took 1 hour and 45 mins for food it didnt seem worth it. One of the worst steaks i have had. Potatoes were good but cold No bread is also disappointing for an Italian restaurant. I gave it 2 stars instead of one because the Pizza was good though. Also the pasta was solid.

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!
Worked perfectly
Was a little nervous at first but was pleased to see that the booking went through flawlessly.
Highly recommended.
Success on Short Notice
Was able to snag an indoor table at Don Angie through an absolutely seamless worry-free process.
Worked perfectly, thank you!
This is a crazy holiday season in NYC and I was very pleasantly surprised to see that AppointmentTrader works! Will be using again!

So glad I came across this app :)
Quick table in Miami
I didn’t have my hopes high as it was a party of 4. In 24 hours I had a carbone reservation available! I was very happy as my family really wanted to come here

Got impossible NYC res

Worked perfectly to get into Carbone. So delighted
perfect
Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate
Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

I will give you 50% of ALL of my PROFITS if you teach me how to make profits?
LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.
Appointment
Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil

Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
