She didn't ask us for anything and was tending to one person at a time. very unknowledgeable about the menu. fastest thing to come to the table was the bill. when we asked her for a drink menu she ignored and never brought it. very unsatisfied with our service here and don't think this server should be training another person. pretty sure her name was marissa. rushing us too much even though we wanted to sit and enjoy our time here since it was our first time.

I cannot describe in words how sophisticated and attentive the two bartenders on staff were. The second we walked through the door, there was a full bar. Stefan the bartender directed us to the next available seats. Once sat, we had nothing but the best attention, they made us custom cocktails based on what we were in the mood for. Stefan and Jamie made us feel at home and it was almost like a performance with how they made their cocktails and all the while taking care of a very crowded bar. 10/10 experience and cannot recommend them more, will absolutely be coming back because of just the two of them.

I got the grilled cheese here, and the bread was extremely hard. It hurt my jaw to chew. The food here is overpriced and not worth the money. However the service here is decent.
One of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had.
I ordered a drink and had to ask again for it after ten minutes. They apologized when they brought it and my dinner companions ordered wine and over twenty minutes later we still didn't get the wine. I had to go to the bar to ask them to send someone over. To top it off the fire alarm (with spot lights) went off because of smoke in the kitchen and no one ever came by and told us what was going on or acknowledged that the dining experience was ruined. I can't imaging this place will last another week!

I haven't been here for about a year and was eager to return given the good experience I had in the past. For starters, we went on a Saturday evening and the place was half empty. Surprising, especially with how crowded it used to be. Maybe it was the cold weather? Who knows. We were seated right away by friendly staff but service was slow anyway. On looking at the menu, there were a number of changes and the entrees are about 40 dollars each. We ordered the duck breast and the fluke. Yikes! Despite the waiter insisting that the duck breast would be medium rare (no objections from us), it came out medium well and super dry. The fluke had a mushy crust and it seemed like the completely forgot to salt the fish! It was so bland and so expensive. On top of that, a fountain soda is $6 and they charge for refills. A small tea was also $6 which was ridiculous. overall the prices were way too much for what you get. On top of that, they still charged a 4% kitchen fee even though the prices went up. The management is passing off their staffing paychecks onto us in an unfair manner. I can see why it was so empty. The food has gone down, the service was lacking and the prices are outrageous. Too bad, it used to be a must try. Now it is an avoid.
We had a very uneven experience tonight at Alcove.
We had been there pre-Covid and loved it but tonight was not good. The reservation was honored, and we were seated promptly. The drink orders were taken and came quickly. The entrees and appetizers were ordered. That is when things started going downhill. The two sides/appetizers were undercooked. The roasted brussel sprouts were mushy not crispy. The peppers were barely warm. The duck and chicken entrees were good but the burger was way undercooked. Medium well was just past rare. Then the service slowed. It was 20 minutes after we had all finished eating and 15 min past when the staff cleared the dishes that we were offered dessert menus. We passed on the menus since we had used the 20 minutes to access the menu on line. An after dinner drink of a Chocolate Martini was totally botched. We were done with dessert when it finally arrived. It was not in a martini glass and seemed to be just chocolate liquor and vodka - no Bailey's and no chocolate syrup or anything. Getting the check and paying the tab was another 15 minute ordeal. We barely made the start of the Celtics game as dinner was almost 2 hours. To be fair we did not complain as we just wanted to move it along so management had no opportunity to make it right. Still, it was very disappointing.
Delicious Food
Great food and delicious wine!! We shared some menu items. The location is perfect. and loved the atmosphere. Our server was awesome, friendly attentive. We tipped extra extra/ when we followed up with some friends we were told staff pools tips? Not a fan of that, I was a server for years. I work hard for my station and my tips. Other than that we enjoyed Alcove.

After a long day of touring; my last tour guide recommended this place. Food quality was good. Flavor, temperature and presentation on point. The assistant wait staff was attentive; my actual waiter I saw once to take my drink order. Again to take my food order. Then 25 minutes after my food came out. Then I didn't see anyone for 15 minutes which that person just took my plate away. Finally after 10 more minutes my waiter came back and asked me if I wanted dessert... I politely said no and he promptly brought me my check. So consistent with many other recent reviews

Really wanted to like this restaurant a lot more than what my ranking is for them and even though they were able to open up a table that didn't have a reservation because we preferred not to sit at a high top, the food and the service fell short. Located at the Lovejoy Wharf steps away from the TD Banknorth Garden, the atmosphere is dimmer due to the track lights not illuminating the area sufficiently to read the menu comfortably. Known gluttons for espresso martinis, my friend and I ordered the restaurant's own concoction with cardamon, which was worked deftly and was very tasty, but it was contained in a smaller glass meant for liquor, when it's typically in more or less a martini-styled glass. So for the same price as other restaurants, the volume has been reduced by half. We went straight to the entrées and a side: mushroom radiatori, duck breast, sirloin steak, and roasted brussels spouts. The duck breast was dry and not as enjoyable as I would've hoped for and the sirloin steak, while cooked to a perfect medium rare lacked seasoning. The mushroom radiatori was by far the best dish with the pasta nicely al dente. This speak volumes that their station for preparing and cooking meat could use improvement while the pasta station doesn't need any. After ordering a glass of Nebbiolo (Italian red wine), it took nearly 20 minutes for its arrival. More specifically, I couldn't get a sense that our waiter gave 100% of the service quality a customer tends to expect, so either he was having a bad day, the restaurant doesn't pay him well, he just doesn't like working there, or he doesn't care at all. But if any of that, or all of it, is projected onto the customers, it will sour the overall dining experience. If we return another time, I really hope the restaurant elevates their service and food quality to avoid dissatisfied customers.
Friendly service and delicious food!
We had the crab cakes, and the 1/2 chicken dinner with a couple of local IPA's. Everything was fantastic and the waiter was helpful and friendly. Came in to the restaurant 2 hours before a B's game and had plenty of time. Would recommend!

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.

Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate
Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
