Nice surprise
We have chosen this restaurant because we were looking for a nice service for our guests and we were attended properly by the personnel. The menu is very interesting, with non conventional recipes and the fish was fresh.

On our last night in Italy I decided to make a reservation at this restaurant with my girlfriend. We’re visiting from the United States and were looking for a restaurant that reflected the quality, care and attention that Italian hospitality and cuisine is known for. Based on past reviews of the Zelo, we thought we found it. A great way to wrap up a trip to Italy. Wrong. Besides the cocktail at the bar, the rest went downhill from there. The moment we sat down, the service ceased to exist. No one stopped by for 15 minutes until after I flagged someone down. I’d also like to note that I’m Black and my girlfriend is white. While I was the only Black person in the restaurant, I certainly didn’t expect to be completely ignored. Once we finally found someone to help us, we ordered the 5 course tasting menu. Then we waited and waited and waited. Not one person stopped by to see if we needed another bottle of water (which was empty), no one stopped by to ask if we needed anything. After waiting another 30-40 minutes for someone, I finally let two individuals who worked at the restaurant to cancel the order. The Assistant Manager came to apologize but after an hour of being ignored, I was over it. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone but especially not to a Black person or anyone who wants good service. Imagine every staff member in the restaurant making eye contact but no one EVER stopping to help you while helping every single individual around you. I have a sense of what was going on. I have never ever left a review but I actually took some time to articulate my thoughts and absolute disgust with this place. It was terrible and racist. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone at all.

Following a recent renovation we visited the new Zelo Restaurant within The Four Seasons. It is a classy, understated space, extending out from the lobby onto the terrace overlooking pretty cloistered gardens. Service was friendly & unpretentious, if a tad slow & forgetful. Zelo serves breakfast through to lunch, & then onto dinner where it formalises a bit offering both a la carte & a tasting menu. We came for breakfast, opting for the a la carte offer. Food was good & it was a very enjoyable experience, but not surprisingly, with a €5 cover charge, cappuccinos priced at €10 & Bucks Fizz at €22 a pop, our bill soon racked up!
