Friday evening at Zana.
Zana has a very nice fashion forward design and atmosphere. Quite a change from the previous restaurant Bird & the Bread. The menu has a variety of very appealing choices. We ordered harissa grilled shrimp, cast iron chicken with a fantastic sauce and the salmon. We really enjoyed all the dishes. We did see several tables order the Huge Tomahawk Steak (40oz) that is served in a showy way & carved at the table. Service was really excellent and prices reasonable considering the quality of food and overall dining experience. We will definitely go back! *Keep in mind Saturday night turns into a major club seen.

Update: I dined here recently for my birthday on a Saturday night, and from the moment we stepped in, had an uncomfortable experience. The hostess was not welcoming and reminded us several times that we have limited time to dine, despite the fact that we arrived early for our reservation. Once seated we placed our appetizer order immediately and were served fairly quickly. We then placed our entree order and waited close to an hour for two dishes. Patrons around us that were seated after my party received their food well before us. Ultimately we decided to take our entrees to go given that we had been reminded repeatedly that we had limited time to dine. I had looked forward to celebrating here given how good my first experience was, however I don't think I can recommend this for a Saturday night dinner or special occasion.

Everything was marvelous, clean and welcoming. Every staff member we dealt with were professional and extremely helpful. The food -- SO, SO, SO good ! I cannot even pick out what my favorite item was! I cannot wait to return!

The vibes are really cool here and it's a great spot to go on a date night. I also really enjoyed the service as they were well-informed and got our food to us quickly.

I'm taking stars off because the waitress was visibly sick and she often to cough in her order station area between table serving. We sat right next to kitchen. I knew as soon as she greeted us she was sick you could tell in her face and voice. I hope we don't get sick. I get it people have to make a buck, but you never know when an a Epidemiologist in Infectious Disease is lurking around. We have a keen eye in the public. ;) yes people do this all the time in the world but it's my job to raise awareness.

At one point the manager swung by to ask our opinion on a new dish they put on the menu... they care about the food they're putting in front of you and the experience given. Definitely will be back!

Zana has been on my list of places to try in Birmingham and I'm so glad I finally had a chance to stop in! It is located in downtown Birmingham surrounded by lots of shops and other bars and restaurants. To start, the ambiance is absolutely beautiful - high ceilings, gorgeous bar, warm lighting, and a glass wall opening to the kitchen. I had eaten before so only came for coffee and dessert but I was seated next to the kitchen and couldn't keep my eyes off the dishes they were preparing! We ended up going with the coconut malabi and carrot cake desserts. I'm a fan of all things custard so I really enjoyed the coconut malabi, but this may not be a choice for everyone. I thought the flavors were light, creamy, and had a wonderful balance of textures with the apple and toasted coconut toppings. The carrot cake was decadent, had a good amount of spice, and the goat cheese frosting was to die for! Service was good despite it being very busy at the time we went. I will definitely be back to try the food!

We had a very good meal here.
The menu is sort of Mediterranean/Middle Easter fusion, with dishes from various countries, from France to Armenia. We started with sharing lamb and beef arayes, which we loved. It is lamb and beef cooked together and wrapped in pita bread, served with yogurt. For mains, my wife had the Duck Confit, while I had Caccio e Pepe. The duck was fantastic and I would highly recommend it. The caccio was kind of mid but I enjoyed it. We shared the carrot cake for dessert and it was very spicy and really good. Te service was efficient. The ambience is modern, spare, upscale and innovative. If you are in the area, you should go

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.

It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
