The best word I can use to describe my experience at this place is bizarre. I had been eager to try it for years after hearing about what a unique dining experience it is: it feels like a huge joke to me that so many people consider this "fine dining."The prices are absolutely astronomical (bill was $300+ for two people) and the prix fixe menu price did not include alcoholic beverages. I did not discriminate against the strip mall location of the restaurant prior to going, but upon paying what we paid to be there, I do feel like the atmosphere is pretty pathetic. When you can see drop tile ceiling, it doesn't feel like you should be paying over $100/person for really sad, small courses. Our first course, for example, was basically one fingerling potato per person. Maybe the price would have been worth it if we had actually been getting fish with every course, but many of the courses just seemed like weird, cheap, basic food disguised as a delicacy. I'm absolutely shocked that people continue to pay to eat here.
