Worst experience ever!
The service is awful. Our waitress never even checked on us, so we left a 10% tip and she chased us out of the restaurant demanding a 20% tip. Craziest thing I ever saw! DO NOT GO!

Amazing food. I loved almost everything we tried. Perfect for a big group of people. Service was excellentโ I was so impressed with how quickly our server went between tables and never missed a single thing. Definitely recommend if youโre looking for a light lunch or dinner.
Be the first to ReplyBait and switch. All you can eat as long as itโs not the specialty rolls
It was all you can eat but they never brought specialty rolls. Then said it would take too long to make them. Very disappointing.

We had the menu, not the all you can eat. Sushi was good, fresh, tasty. King crab one is too large but good. Snowy mountain went too heavy on the Mayo so other flavors were hidden. Comments from the neighboring table suggested the all you can eat is of a lesser quality. There was a disruption caused by a homeless man that was very well handled.

The all you can eat menu is awesome! Great sushi โ can recommend the dragon roll and salmon nigiri. Quite slow service so order everything at once
Be the first to ReplyTerrible experience!
Please donโt visit this restaurant. Terrible service and if you love sushi, the maximum that you will be served will be a huge quantity of rice and really small pieces of fish or shrimp.

This place sucks. They charged us $10 for not finishing half of a plate of wildly sub-par fried rice. The best part of my experience here was leaving the restaurant. Should have gone to Chipotle.
Be the first to ReplyAll you can eat sushi... if you are served the sushi!!
Went to Yamato for lunch and it seems all you can eat is their thing. The restaurant was very busy. I ordered a regular roll, a special roll and 2 nigiris. The regular roll and nigiris came out right away. Decent sushi but the rice felt old. Then a 30 min wait for the special sushi. When enquired, i was told the special sushi will take a long time and not sure when it will be out.... they are very busy! Clearly it seems there is a different process for the regular sushi vs the special one!! Meaning, they will never serve you special rollls....What a farce!! I was asked to change my order to another regular roll... what's the point of all you can eat if the restaurant can't cope with the orders????
Be the first to ReplyNot fast but excellent for sushi
Really first rate sushi. The menu indicates that people will be charged more for ordering what they don't eat. Preparing sushi is an art so I can sympathize with the chefs.

It is all you can eat sushi. The price and the variety of the food differ significantly between lunch and dinner. We had lunch. The Sushi was not very good. That is not bad, but not very tasty. The service was OK. You can eat there if you are hungry and want sushi, otherwise you are probably better off eating less but better sushi.
Be the first to ReplyLick Your Plate or Pay
I was not chastised for food left on my plate as a child but if I was, I'm sure this is how it would feel. I had assured my son that the ominous signs stating that you will be charged for waste was for those who might over-order a gluttonous amount only to leave wasteful plates behind uneaten. As we were ordering a reasonable amount of food I was sure it would be fine. Not to worry, I assured him. Famous last words... You should worry. They are freaking serious! Here's what we ordered: one bowl of ramen, one avocado roll, one avo/tuna roll, a plate of noodles and dumplings. The tuna roll came out last and was too big to eat with giant pieces of fish, so half the roll went uneaten along with two dumplings and some of my son's noodles. Otherwise we dusted off the lot. When I asked the waitress for the check she said we had to finish our food. I asked again and was informed that we would be charged a fee for leaving food uneaten. I told her IMO we ordered and ate a very reasonable amount and should not be charged. She insisted. When I asked her what she would be charging us she ran off to ask the manager. Apparently there is no fixed charge? Do they just decide on the spot how much they wish to penalize you for your misbehavior? She came back and begged me to please EAT TWO MORE PIECES OF SUSHI! I kid you not. I told her that was absurd, that I would understand if we'd ordered an unreasonable amount of food but that our order was very reasonable. I requested to know the charge so we could pay the bill and leave. When she left again to discuss the "situation" with her manager I put two remaining pieces of sushi in a napkin under my plate. Problem solved. By now we had attracted the attention of the entire lunch crowd, much to the horror of my son. She returned and said they had decided we would not be charged and were free to go. Well, thank you so much. I must say, this was our second visit in as many weeks and did not encounter this aggressive policy the first time. However it was so upsetting to finish a meal this way we will NOT be returning. At the very least they should state what their fee is or what "unfinished food" means. Or just bring your family dog to sit under the table and eat your scraps. No sushi is worth that stress. I thought I was at least going to be grounded.
