Friendly service - good value
We stopped by for lunch. Tried wagyu beef, ominiaki and cod fish, all were very good. The service was really friendly and attentive. I am not a big fan of nex mall but it is less crowded during lunch and this is good value for money

Excellent services. When they see we only ordered 1 drink, they offer water for others. The food is nice as well. A place I will visit repeatedly.
Be the first to ReplyDecent Teppanyaki
We ordered Teppanyaki sets (chicken, steak, prawn) to share. Overall, food is pretty good, especially the steak, nicely done. Chicken and prawn are good too. If I have to pick a thing for improvement, I think is the garlic sauce, it seem to be the standard flavoring for lots of dishes, the only thing that my wife felt negative about it. Staffs are friendly, and we have a good lunch. Probably will be back.
Be the first to ReplyVERY GOOD OKONOMIYAKI
We stumbled over this restaurant by chance while walking around the NEX department store. Their okonomiyaki is delicious and brought us back to Japan. The service is friendly and dedicated, they even anticipate your wishes. We even went back a second time and received the same nice and kind attention. As there is no possible advance bookings, I would advice that you arrive early as you must queue until a table becomes available. The best seats are around the teppanyaki tables.

Tried the Tokusen beef steak at Yaki Yaki Bo Teppanyaki restaurant and it was nice and hot. The teppenyaki beef topped with fried garlic and spring onions tasted superb. Beef was tender and melts in the mouth. The gyoza was fantasic as well hot and crispy.
Be the first to ReplyGreat Teppanyaki - impressive show and quick food
We arrived at NEX and wanted some quick Japanese food, so we came here. We were seated quickly and orders taken quickly. My husband watched the cooking with interest, and we had tasty food very quickly - it was especially more so when you can see food cooked in front of your eyes! What we did not realise was that each dish also came with a plate of beansprouts which did not arrive till we were almost finished with our main dishes - it would be good for that to arrive at the same time with the main meat dishes. The chawanmushi was pretty good too. Will definitely come back here again.
Be the first to ReplyThought I was at a Chinese restaurant instead...
I would like to start out by saying I rarely write low reviews and that this is one of those rare ones. Food was alright, nothing fantastic. Ordered a few different sets, including beef, salmon, soba, okonomiyaki and their salted chicken. Upgraded the rice to tamago rice at an additional $2. The tamago rice was tasteless, which gave me a surprise since I thought they were going for a Chinese restaurant taste, so logically speaking their fried rice should be good. The ham and cheese okonomiyaki was too hard and had too much flour, we actually thought the pasar malam might actually taste better. The sets that they have on offer gives things like potato and minced pork with cabbage with mushrooms, which tastes as nice as those you can buy from economical rice shops in hawker centres. The salmon that came in the set was thin and plain. All in all, the food here is edible, but definitely not worth the price and doesn't qualify as Japanese food to me.

Go with family or friends. Order different set from different catogories and share the food like noodles, pancakes, fried rice, etc, and their promotion set (they always have different promotion). You can sit at the teppanyaki table and watch the chef cook or if with kids, you can choose to sit the bench seat which is away from the cooking heat and smoke. Thus it's suitable for family with kids.

Tried out their set menu for family of 6, good choice of meat and seafood. upgraded to Japanese Tamargo and Garlic rice, requested for extra panfried of prawn heads...for those who enjoy Japanese Teppanyaki and keen to have this at least once a month, yet kind to our wallet.
