This is by no means a gourmet buffet, but for the price the food was decent enough. If you want to eat cheap, this is a good choice! If you want to eat good, don't go to a buffet lol. There was a lot of variety and seafood, and the service was really quick. When sections got empty, they were filled again relatively quick. There is a kid's section with fries, pizza, etc., but for the most part, all the food is Chinese. My favourites were: - Walnut shrimp - Butter shrimp - Chicken or beef broccoli - Cajun seasoned crawfish - Sushi (surprisingly decent) - Desserts: canned fruits, fresh fruits, ice cream, and jello The clams, prawns, crab legs had a weird texture in my opinion, so I didn't like them too much. Too mushy even for my soft mouth. Fill up on the proteins to make the most out of your money. This is a no carb zone!

Wow, we were very impressed tonight! Last time we came was a couple years ago and it was just so so. They must be under new ownership or management now, because it was extremely good, hot, fresh, and top notch service. They were PACKED with customers. Which is a very good sign at a buffet nowadays. Everything was kept clean, plates cleared, and drinks refilled immediately. They had no problem keeping up with the hot fresh food, too. There wasn't anything they were out of or that looked sad. So much great seafood too! My favorites were their giant pieces of squid , walnut shrimp and crab rangoon. Only thing I wasn't a fan of was the crab. It was battered and deep fried in the shell. Which made the crab meat crumbly and awkward to get the shell and batter off the meat. But, that could just not be my thing because I've never heard of fried crab before. The crab itself tasted fresh, so it's definitely not worth knocking any stars down. Long story short, check this place out, you won't regret it!

. such great value to have as much seafood as you want for $20, prepared in all sorts of ways. Drinks are bottomless for $1.75. Service charge of 10% is added to the bill. Service is fast and friendly as well. Hope to visit again soon.

Sunday night at 8PM it was pretty empty, but the food appeared to be fresh. Happy to see very large fried shell-on shrimp, fried crab (Dungeness), and baked oysters available. Roast duck was a bonus. More late night diners showed up, and I think every hot item received refills. Attentive staff. Will go back.
Be the first to ReplyCasual seating and service to match a classic buffet vibe.
I loved the variety and the speed that dishes were replaced or topped up - always hot and as fresh as they could get. $3USD beers were a pleasant surprise, quick clean up throughout tables and no pushiness for us to get out quickly! Another major plus was unlimited self serve soft serve ice cream! I almost gave this spot 5 stars since the value was awesome. I would just say that I was excited for the crab which was a dry/had a small amount of meat. Was also looking forward to the sushi which wasn't the nicest - definitely recommend loading up on avocado rolls though!

First time at this buffet place and had an amazing experienced with other 6 friends. We went at 11AM and the place was busy already but we still got seated right away. I was like "wow"! So many foods to choose from and the price is very affordable. From soups, sides, veggies, chicken, pork, beef, duck, sushi, salads and desserts. This is best buffet I had so far and highly recommend it.
Be the first to Replythe staff was rude and told us to get the fuck out.
They were not understanding while we were trying to get everyone paid for.
Be the first to ReplyThe food was good.
The only reason I didn't give 4 or 5 stars is because they demanded a tip. Our water was filled once, no one came and asked us how everything was. I didn't feel like they deserved a tip and we're Canadian and with the exchange rate it was already an expensive meal. Felt awkward and felt like I had to put a tip down because of the attitude the hostess had lol
Be the first to ReplyAs buffets go, this one is a winner.
We eat from the seafood bar and it's always consistent.

Pretty good considering it's a Chinese buffet! Food quality is ok. Some things better than others. Super busy Saturday night dinner time, so food was hot and replenished frequently. Charge extra for soda. Service was surprisingly good for it being packed with a line out the door!
Be the first to ReplyI was looking forward to trying this place for a long time.
I used to go to Asian buffets all the time near Seattle growing up and I loved them. As a long time Asian buffet goer here's what I have to say....I was happy to see they had all the standard foods at an asian buffet... nothing too special. Unfortunately, I was not too impressed. Half of the "warm" food I ate was moderately cold, which was concerning. There was a large selection of seafood options, but a lot of it was out the whole time I was there. The service I received was okay - nothing extraordinary again. Maybe it was because they were busy, but we felt like our time was rushed. The restaurant was packed, but the restaurant had lots of seating so waiting for a spot was not an issue for us. The environment was very loud when it was packed. Overall, not impressed. I am sad to say that because I really do love Asian buffets! Also, a heads up, prices increased to $19 a person for dinner as of 03/23.

Gone are the days of a truly wonderful buffet culture in Bellingham; but we thought we would try out Wonderful Buffet on a whim. We were feeling adventurous! Unfortunately, the food didn't exactly live up to its "wonderful" name. The restaurant has plenty of seating and even on a weekday, it was pretty packed! There were abundant booths, tables, and high chairs. You likely will not have a wait, even on a very busy night. The service was quick and attentive, the booths seemed clean and wiped down. That was basically the only "pro" of our experience at Wonderful Buffet. The food was..gloopy? All of it, even the crab rangoon and potstickers. There was nary a crispy bite of anything to be had. They have the standard orange chicken, general tso's chicken, chow mein, fried rice, and fried americanized Chinese food, but all of it was floppy and covered in a sauce that tastes suspiciously like it's gone off or turned sour under blaring heat lamps. There was a huge amount of seafood but of it seemed very suspect, crab covered in cheese and baked oysters are not really my thing.Even the dessert bar was some sad very icy milk "ice cream" and canned fruit. Unfortunately, I don't think I will be back.

OMGosh, We love this place & go there at least 2 or 3 times per month.Their food is fresh & cooked deliciously. On weekends, we to go eat their DUCK & Dungeness Crab.During the week Mon, Wed, Thurs they have their BBQ Pork Ribs = so delicious, I always fill my plate. Oh, they also serve fried rice & white rice, too. YUMMY! They are closed on Tuesday ONLY.I am surprised that Wonderful Buffet only has three Stars. For us, it is always a five star place to enjoy & their good. Also, discount for Seniors & Children. We all love their service as well. EXCELLENT

The crab legs were so heavenly, I haven't ever liked crab before going to this place. I also have to compliment the fact that they had many seafood options including Sea Snails, the four star is more because of their overly small sized desert section and the staff wasn't very attentive they were professional and kind but also not checking in with us as much as they should. I wouldn't personally recommend the sea snails, maybe it's personal preference but the Crayfish and Crab legs were so good I never even thought twice about the snail.

We are staying in Bellingham this month and wanted to try a good seafood buffet. This one was pretty good for the price. They had a good selection and everything seemed fresh. We went for dinner and I got baked oysters, sushi rolls, baked mussels, crab legs, clams, chicken, sausage, shrimp, baked roast and green beans. They had a lot of other selections I didn't get to try but everything looked good. The only thing that wasn't good was the melted butter (for dipping the crab legs and craw fish)... it tasted very oily and burned. They also do not refill your drinks unless you ask, or replenish the crab leg and oyster supply very often. Other than that, it was fine. The staff was nice enough. It was pretty busy but we still got good service. Would recommend giving this place a try.

If you are very hungry and don't want to spend a lot this is the place. Service is good, lots of selections.
Be the first to ReplyNot as good as the other buffets within the I-5 corridor.
The selections are less than its competitors and the quality is also not as good. We will not be returning as other places seem to offer more, better value, and higher end food choices.
Be the first to ReplyWonderful Buffet is the only Chinese buffet in Bellingham,
Wonderful Buffet is the only Chinese buffet in Bellingham, WA. We are one of the regulars since we live close to the restaurant. Anytime we are craving a good and hearty Chinese buffet that offers a variety of dishes, sushi, seafood, fruits, and desserts, we just go to this place. Weekends and holidays can get very busy. The prices have gone up a bit due to the current inflation but the quality of food and service remains the same. For some $16.99 plus tax per person on a weekday, it's a very good deal!
Be the first to ReplyAre you going to get world class food here? No.
But are you gonna have a wonderful meal for cheap? Yes. Wonderful's dinner is $17.99 per person, and their offerings have changed from when I went pre-Covid. Which I guess is to be expected. They used to have snow crab legs here but this time around all they had was deep fried crab legs. I miss the snow crab since they were easy to eat and succulent. The fried crab was mushier and it was probably fried because they weren't as fresh. They still have snails and clams, as well as several shrimp dishes (fried, cold appetizer shrimp, buttered). They had mussels, baked oyster with cheese (though they have a limit of 2 per person every time they take our a new tray.). They had a do it yourself carving station with a roast meat and some sausages. And you can always count on them to have a petty good selection of American Chinese food at their all you can eat. Still enjoyed going here!

I have been to Wonderful Buffet a few times and have had ok experiences. I take Para Transit so I do not always have much flexibility in time. On Sept. 2nd I went to enjoy the lunch buffet and arrived at 2:45. I know that they run lunch buffet until 3pm. I arrived at 2:45 and was told that I could not get a lunch buffet and would have to order dinner buffet. But I was there before 3, they should have accepted me as a lunch buffet customer. The employee I spoke with was very rude and had very poor customer service. I left without eating.
