Let's start from the top. 1) Made reservation through their website for 6.15pm. You have to indicate the number of pax attending but it only shows an adult option. Left a remark in the reservation mentioning I would be coming with 2 children as well. 2) Reached the lounge and no one was at the door to greet us, so we went in to ask. 3) Their system only managed to capture the reservation for the adult guests that I have initially booked for but did not capture the remarks. Table was not set yet and we had to wait a little. 4) While waiting, manage to take a look around the place. The decor was nice and very instagrammable. There's alot of special nooks for you to take that great shot. We noted there were about 3 tables occupied inside and about 1 more outdoors. 5) Oh, have to mention that it's recommended for you to reserve a table cause after we were seated, a few moments later, the place was packed. 6) We were invited to sit. Do note, I did not see any baby chair available. But surprisingly they had a children's menu. 7) Was looking at the menu for a while. No one came to the table to make any recommendations for the food or drinks. Called a server to take our order but it took a while to get their attention. And when we did, they told us to just scan the QR Code on the table to place our order. They did not mention this to us when they seated us. Nor did they mention what was the soup of the day. We were about to ask, but they left the table so quickly. 8) We ordered starter (Wanderendang Nachos) Burger (Mushroom Ninja Burger) Main (Black Angus Ribeye, Medium Rare), Kids meal (mac and cheese, fries and nugget) mocktails (jack and the beanstalk and charlie and the choc factory), apple juice and apple crumble. Safe to say we ordered a little bit of everything. Even the add on of soup and ice cream! Wanted to try a little bit of everything cause I personally have been curious about this magical looking place. 9) The mac and cheese was the first to arrive. Followed by the soup of the day. No cutleries were prepared at the time. Had to ask for it before we were given. I have to highlight that they did not provide kids cutleries. If they did have, they did not give it to us. 10) We were then served the nachos. The serving was huge. Worth the money. But a little too much chips but not proportion to the filling is not even. 11) When they served the soup, they only mentioned "soup of the day". It was a mysterious brown soup that I've never seen at regular restaurants. I took a sip only to find out it's kambing soup. Thank goodness my husband likes lamb otherwise that soup portion would have been a waste. 12) The fries and nugget for the kids meal really looked like they didn't think much about plating it. It was a small bowl filled with alot of fries and 6 pcs of nugget. It comes with an orange-y sauce which I think it's a mentaiko mayo sauce. For the price, I recommend you to skip it. 13) The Mushroom ninja burger came. It was a good portion but the meat was underseasoned while the teriyaki sauce was overwhelming the whole burger. I guess to make up for the underseasoned patty. 14) The next part is a kicker. They served the main to my husband. Informing it was the ribeye. We were pre-occupied with the children at this time and just smiled at the server. But we then looked at the meal and realised, it was not ribeye. It does not look like a ribeye. It looked like chicken. We called the waiter back and clarified if the meal was a indeed ribeye. He took a second look and apologised to us. They had served us chicken instead! I'm not sure how you can mistake beef with chicken? 15) Mocktails: Charlie and the Chocolate factory was an interesting mocktail. I have never had something like that. The flavour combo is so good! Only complaint I had about the drink is that it is too sweet. You may want to wait for the ice to melt first before pouring the drink to the glass. The Jack and the Beanstalk was not a show stopper. It looked like a small cup of coffee. The drink was not a full glass and there was no flair to this drink like how they present the other mocktails. Husband mentioned that the drink is too sweet, when he is actually the biggest sweet tooth. 16) We had a scoop of chocolate ice cream with the combo that we ordered. My son slurped it down fast. I was looking forward to the apple crumble but found that the portion to be small. It was served with vanilla ice cream, strawberry syrup and cinnamon powder. I feel that in this instance, less is more. It could do without the strawberry syrup and powder. 17) The cashier is in a awkward location. You can't stand in front of it to pay cause I guess they are overbooked today? There is a table in front of the counter, so you have to pay from the side. Safe to say, it was probably our first and last time there. I hope the restaurant could buck up on their service considering the price point of the food and drinks.
