Relaxing Las Vegas Strip getaway
Very nice upscale hotel with wonderful service - the hotel personnel were friendly and helpful from valet to check-in to restaurant to Spa. Ask for the rooms with the long bathrooms too. One of only four hotels in Las Vegas with NO casinos so quiet & relaxing away from the gambling crowds. And the SkyBar lounge on the 23rd floor was a great place for drinks and nighttime Strip views.

This place had some issues, both Covid and non-Covid related. But overall, it was definitely a 5 star experience. The location is what makes this place for me. Right in the middle of the strip, but the hotel is hidden in a bit of a bowl. It is like being on the Strip without dealing with all the people. Nice and quiet. No casino, but very easy to get to Aria and Cosmopolitan, among others. The common areas are pretty typical of Waldorf, lots of dark wood and marble. You have to go up to the reception area from valet, separate elevators for room and hotel entrance. Always weird having to switch elevators. Nice area for afternoon tea and a bar with a legit view of the Strip. We liked the spa, but no hot tub or sauna, etc due to Covid. Pool looked nice and was pretty empty. As with the areas, the room is typical Waldorf, 5 star quality. Super comfortable bed. Good size, all the amenities. Service was very good, from reception to bar to spa. The valet was a man from NY and he was incredibly helpful with the family. For value, Waldorf ain't cheap, in either dollars or points. I think it's worth it, and I am a bit of a Hilton guy, but there are so many options in Vegas that are pretty close in quality but much lower prices that its hard to recommend. That, and I don't want anyone else ruining it.
Be the first to ReplySome minor service failures but generally great
We booked the WA on a Fine Hotels and Resorts rate for three days. This comes with a few benefits, including room upgrade, breakfast credits, etc, which helped go towards the pricey room rate. A letter was provided detailing the benefits. The room was great - a few issues such as bath draining when in it and a bank of plug sockets it working, which I raised with the staff but stressed was not a complaint, and they did not really affect our stay. The view from the SkyBar of the strip is great and it's worth a drink up there to take it in. The main benefit of the hotel to us was that it was not a casino hotel, meaning a break from the smoky, airless casino hotels you'll be trudging around in the day. The only reason I would hold back a star is that there were a few service failures by the front desk staff (who were lovely). It sounds petty, but the FHR rate included a welcome amenity which was not offered on arrival. I had to chase up twice to get it. Also on checkout, the HH Gold breakfast credits, which stack with the FHR breakfast credits, were missed off, but promptly added when I checked the folio more carefully after check out. I would definitely stay here again and with just a little bit more on-point service, it would be even better.
Be the first to ReplyGorgeous amenities, the Best Staff and Vegan food options
Beautfiul rooms with amazing amenities like high quality robes and sheets. The food was excellent and offered vegan options which was an extra bonus. The staff was extremely polite and welcoming. I will definitely return.
Be the first to ReplyWonderful service in a beautiful setting
Had the pleasure of staying in the hotel for one night in March, and although the weather was chilly, we were warmed by the excellent service and personality of the staff. Johnny with the bell staff always greeted us with a smile and a welcome back. Tom at the front desk took great care of us at check out, and Jeneen(I might have her name wrong) was so great at check in. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay for longer! Don't miss the sky bar either, the views and delicious beverages are worth a trip alone.

Don't stay at this hotel, it's not what it used to be! I've stayed here for over a decade, back when it was a Mandarin Oriental & it's sad how bad it's become. I will never stay here again, nor will I stay at any other Waldorf property
