Tsurutontan Udon Noodle Brasserie New York Reviews from The Last Year
Good food, super loud, food served within 20 minutes.
There were 3 of us bit they would only take 2 credit cards so we couldn't split the bill. Silly and avoidable inconvenience and lots of other more accommodating so will find a new spot.

I came with my friends for Saturday dinner and were able to easily make a same day reservation. The restaurant is pretty big and I loved the vibe. The noise level was also perfect to be able to chat with friends. They had some 'April special' menu items so a couple drinks and food items were discounted. From that menu, a friend and I got a lycheetini for only $8 - and it tasted pretty good and was surprisingly strong. As for entrees, there are so many things on their menu, it literally took us so long to decide. Eventually I decided on the katsu curry udon while my friends ordered the mentaiko truffle udon, eggplant wagyu udon, and a beef cold udon. When we got our food, my friends and I were utterly in shock over the unexpectedly massive bowls of food in front of us. Everything looked absolutely delicious and tasted great too! I had a generous portion of katsu that was also still nice and crisp despite marinating in a bowl of curry. The udon was also great and the perfect texture. I tasted some of my friends udons as well and they were all great especially the eggplant wagyu udon which I would love to come back and try again. Overall, the food was delicious -- I think I'd opt to share an udon bowl with a friend (esp if I'm not feeling super hungry) and try one of the sushis or other apps. I think the udons with soups are especially filling and hard to finish if you aren't feeling super hungry whilst the udons without any are a good portion/entree size for one.

I walked in, and I was promptly greeted by the manager on duty( kaya)She was very kind and pleasant and walked me to the bar. The bartender ( Ariel) explained the menu and made me a great lychee martini and suggested some food items for me. I tried the blue crab, and the yellow tail scallion , which I will return and enjoy again thank you for your hospitality .
Came on a Saturday night and got seated immediately.
Missed happy hour which is 9 to close on Saturday. The food was delicious and the portions were substantial. They have a full bar and mood lighting. This would be an ideal date spot but beware of the music volume which can make it difficult to hear.
Came on the weekend it was pretty empty, the weekend
Came on the weekend it was pretty empty, the weekend doesn't offer and lunch deal or happy hour: the price gets quite expensive. The bowl are ally large for all the regular udon options. The toro sashimi has 8 thick pieces. But the fish doenst seem not fresh, part of the fish are grey not even pink. I had the duck udon the broth has more a sweeter taste to it. Recommend to come on the weekday lunch, much affordable with the same amount of food

Came in on a Saturday evening with a small group of friends and was seated quickly without reservation. If you're craving a *huge* bowl of soup and udon, this is your place. I was super shocked that the ladle they gave was meant to be the soup spoon - that's how big the bowl is! There are many varieties of udon here but I opted for the duck - the soup was good and came with an adequate amount of duck breast and toppings. We also ordered karaage which was lackluster compared to the soup but paired well together. I will definitely try out other types of udon next time I am here!
service was fine but food took at least 45 minutes to come
service was fine but food took at least 45 minutes to come out and udon was so mid and salty i couldn't finish, tempura was extremely oily as well (which i expected but it felt gross eating) portions are big but they better be for the price you're paying :/ this was so mid and expensive sorry
On our way to see a show- this food is amazing.
We had Spicy EggplantBeef. It came out in a trough!!! It was a perfect blend of spices. Service was good. Restaurant was lovely. Excellent musical choices. Lots of Asian families with their babies, so very family friendly. Beautiful kids!! Great food. Huge portions. Prices below expectation.
Went for an early dinner on a Saturday evening.
Relatively quiet when we got there but the restaurant was buzzing by the time we were done. Love the variety of udon, sushi and rice dishes they have especially in being able to combine a couple of dishes in their combos. We had the Salmon Lover Dinner Set with a Sukiyaki Udon and a Katsu Donburi Ruce Bowl with a U.S. Wagyu Udon - both excellent. Friendly, efficient service.
My husband & I went during happy hour and the drinks & food
My husband & I went during happy hour and the drinks & food were great! We had the lycheetini & mango margarita .For appetizers & dinner we had the pork fried dumpling, chicken teriyaki, truffle fries and bowl of rice
quick stop between shows
we popped in between shows and the service was quick and attentive. HH is after 8:30p or 8p depending on the day. we had avo salmon roll, tofu edamame salad and avo salad. they don't allow you to buy a bowl of miso soup unless you're ordering certain (pricey) entrees.
great food great service
This place is a great place to go to eat a casual meal with friends and family. It is a great price for the quality and portion of food. The ramen bowls are enormous and taste amazing and with two or three rolls of sushi it is the perfect amount to fill you up. The menu was varied and had lots of cool and different options to eat. In my opinion I think that this is a great all around restaurant that I would eat at again. The staff was kind and attentive, I would recommend this place to anybody who likes ramen/udon/sushi or wants to try something new that is a fun experience.
Love Ramen
This place is a good choice for eating ramen. Both soups that we ordered were very delicious! I would highly recommend it. They have a happy hour for lunch with discounted main courses. The Wagyu spicy noodle soup and the cream of salmon were both top-notch. Unfortunately we discovered it during our last day while hurrying to the airport.
Delicious Udon!
Brought a friend here on a Saturday evening. It was busy but we had a resy and were seated right away. Our waiter also greeted us quickly, took our drink order, came back with the drinks, then took our dinner order. Our giant udon bowls came quickly and we took our time to savor every delicious mouthful. The veggies, meat, and broth were all superb!!! This is such a great place for delicious, comfort food! I HIGHLY recommend!
DELICIOUS!!!
Was INCREDIBLE!!! I brought my sister and our niece. We all ordered different udon bowls and all devoured every last drop of broth. Food came super quickly and was amazing and the specialty drinks were delicious. Service was quick, friendly, & professional. I HIGHLY recommend!

The main page will typically show you restaurants rankings based on city. I am new too and its been mostly guess work and trying the ones that are high ranking. I right now am sticking to top 10's but still waiting to hit that first sale.
