I am 73 years old and I have never reviewed a restaurant before, but after dining at Truluck's in Naples I felt compelled to promote the excellent food, service and ambiance Truluck's provides. Johnny G and his staff make you feel special. Edwin, our server was incredible, making suggestions and treating us as if we were his only table. Chef Estephan's creations were excellent, from appetizers to the main course through desert. If you are in Naples and are looking for an excellent culinary experience, you have to try Truluck's. You won't be disappointed.

Always have to come to truluck's at least once a year. Evan was the best waiter anywhere. Stone crab claw season is the best in Naples, FL. Everything was better than I remember it in 2018. Perfect noise level and totally upscale environment.

Formerly, I have loved Truluck's, visited many times, and rated it a five. This visit was different. After being seated, it took our waiter a long time to greet us. Then an even longer time to take our drink order. We had to interrupt him to beg him for an appetizer order, and we still had our menues and had not ordered mains yet, when we had finished the apprtizer. His name is something like Dusan. Just seemed out of sync the whole meal. The food was ok. The Calimari appetizer has suffered from Shrinkflation. Noticeably small portion, only 1 sauce (down from 3), and just kinda blah. Please go back to the old version! The mains were black grouper and chilean sea bass. The Grouper was very good and came with a huge portion of broccoli. The Sea Bass was slightly undercooked and not nearly as tasty as Nemo's. The crab fried Rice that accompanied the Sea Bass was fantastic--the best part of the meal! The creamed spinach side was very good, but the "Lyonnaise potatoes" were basically a sliced potato with a little beuchemel sauce tossed on. For $14, I expected more effort in the preparation. So things were ok, pretty good, throughout the meal. Then the bill came and it totalled $100 a person. Sorry but this meal was not worth that much. A 5 oz glass of St Supery Sauvignon Blanc for $22?? At Total Wine, a whole bottle retails for $26. Sorry that is too much mark-up. Stone crab claws were about $50 per claw!!! Are you kidding me?? So, sadly, too much is more than enough. This would have been a 4 but the pricing just hit me wrong, and pushed it down to a 3. Hoping it is just post Covid fatigue, and things turn around.
Be the first to ReplyExquisite and yummy.
Very nice location and great for a date night. Recommend five-star
Be the first to ReplyGreat experience! Wonderful food.
Server was attentive and friendly. Ambiance was perfect for our date nights. We will definitely be back. 10/10 all around! I ordered blackened snapper with creamed spinach my husband had the blackened grouper. We shared crab fried rice. Everything was delicious! We also ordered the Parker bread and also crème brûlée to share for dessert! Highly recommend. You will not be disappointed!

We went to Trulucks, Naples FL to celebrate our 43rd wedding anniversary. On the reservation I requested to be seated at a nice quiet table. However we were seated at the first table at the entrance, and beside the servers room. Table location was extremely noisy, distracting and far from romantic. Why ask for special requests if it won't be honored? Also the restaurant just opened and was less than half full when we were seated. Food was good and our server Edwardo was excellent.

Beautiful and delicious fine dining! Starting with the detail of white or black napkins for each diner from the hostess... so you don't get black lint on your white pants or black lint on your black pants. The ambiance is warm and inviting with open air, plants, and a very long lighted bar. Lots of seafood and meats here although they do have a small plant based menu. We had the stone crab claws and there were presented on a bed of crushed ice perfectly cracked to make it easy to enjoy! 4 entrees &drinks, plus our server Heidi equals 5 star dinner!!! valet parking available
Be the first to ReplyWe had dinner at Truluck's.
Everything was terrific. Service was wonderful. Our waiter was very nice, knowledgeable and friendly. Drinks were tasty/fun (my wife had something with vodka and dry ice that had it bubbling. Parker house bread was tasty. We shared the calamari appetizer, which was amazing. Both entrees hit the spot (scallops and branzino). We got the carrot cake to go (we were already stuffed)! Wonderful place to go. A bit pricey, so perhaps for special occasions!

We went to happy hour at Truluck's on Tuesday, early evening. We ordered crab cakes which were delicious and Grey Goose martinis with a twist which were fantastic! The bartender was superb, service excellent, prices reasonable, and the piano player awesome! We will definitely be back.
Be the first to ReplyWent for happy hour with a couple friends.
The happy hour menu is very limited. I ordered shrimp cocktail and what was supposed to be an heirloom tomato. The shrimp were chewy and the tomato was a hothouse tomato serve very cold which limited any taste the tomato might have had. Would not go back.
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely amazingbest restaurant in naples.
The service was incredible the I had the calamari for appetizer for dinner I had the rib eye is cared kings crab and the bread with every bite you realize how goof the kitchen is!
Be the first to ReplyEverything was wonderful.
From the time we checked in until the time we left, every staff member was courteous, professional and went out of their way to serve us. The restaurant was clean and up to date. Food was exceptional. The king crab legs was worth the price. We started with an espresso martini which was smooth. We will definitely go back.

We had one of the finest dining experiences I've enjoyed in a long time. This is a serious restaurant. Professional servers with exceptional cuisine from start to finish, this restaurant is in a league far above most expensive restaurants. The stone crabs are so fresh and sweet and well presented. My wife had a classic miso sauce Chilean Seabass that was exquisite. The pricing is reasonable and comparable to many restaurants in Naples but the service, ambiance and most importantly, the food is beyond comparison! There is free public parking next door Make a reservation ... you will have one of the most enjoyable experiences you could imagine.

S NaplesWhat's so special about Truluck's? The sophisticated vibe that surrounds you when you walk in, the charming staff who greet you, the huge sparkly chandeliers, the uber cool bar that is actually marble illuminated with a gorgeous golden glow that lights up your cocktail and makes your complexion look dreamy, the amazing menu ( also illuminated), the insanely delicious food and the extraordinary service. So, you know how they tell you that when you're feeling stressed out and full of anxiety you should close your eyes and think of your happy place? Well, my happy place is sitting at the bar at Truluck's with my sweetheart, a Belvedere Martini, an order of meatballs and a side of parmesan yeast bread!Anyone who follows me knows that I'm not only a picky eater, I'm a picky drinker. The only cocktail I drink is a Belvedere Martini, and I'm constantly astonished by the difference that can occur with only 2 ingredients! The Truluck's Bartenders have seemingly mastered the art, including a frosty chilled glass, with tiny ice crystals glistening on the surface, a trio of olives IN the drink to add a touch of brine, and the dirty rocks on the side. Perfection!HOT TIP: If you want to sit at the bar, be sure to come early (they open at 5pm), valet the car right out back and get in line by at least 4:30. We arrived at 4:20 and there were already 23 people in line waiting for the doors to open! After our time at the bar we moved into the dining room and were seated in a comfy leather booth which made me very happy indeed. I don't eat seafood but my husband ordered a medley of little seafaring critters including Stone Crabs and Oysters which he devoured and thoroughly enjoyed.I ordered the Filet with Au Poivre sauce and a side of Lyonnaise potatoes ... You could faint from those potatoes! My Filet was like a gorgeous little Geode that fell from heaven and landed on my plate. The outside was charred and covered with a delicate rub of seasonings and inside it was a perfectly cooked, medium rare delight. I wish I had taken a shot of the inside but once I started eating, I went into a euphoric trance and didn't come to, until dessert. My husband ordered the Strip Steak with Steak Mushrooms, also perfectly prepared and totally delicious! We were more than full, but we managed to squeak in an order of Carrot Cake and a Cappuccino. The Carrot Cake was insane! We could only finish a few bites and brought the rest home.Antonio took care of us and offered us superb service. He was so attentive and gracious, not to mention very handsome!I may be delusional, in fact I am totally delusional most of the time, but the prices were not that much higher than most of the other nicer restaurants in town. Appetizers in the teens; they offer several options for a petit portion as well as a full portion such as Norwegian Salmon - Petit: $24 Full: $34My Filet was $48. Those luscious Lyonnaise potatoes were $ 14 (they were worth at least $50 IMHO!)So, if you're looking for the perfect spot to celebrate a special occasion or if you just want to feel super fortunate and totally fancy, I highly recommend Truluck's. Forget everything else going on in your life and in the world and drink in the vibe of one of the very best restaurants in our beautiful city!
Be the first to ReplyWe dine at Trucks in Naples a few times per month.
.. We absolutely love it there. The wait staff is friendly, knowledgeable, attentive and friendly. If you have the privilege of having Samantha as your server, you are definitely in for a special night, she is WONDERFUL. Some of the BEST food in Naples! Keep up the fabulous work!
Be the first to ReplyGood food if you can handle the ridiculously high prices.
Good luck spending less than $100 for one person at this place. The lobster that I make at home is so much better than the bland, boiled lobster that I paid $90 for. What a joke.
Be the first to ReplyThe food at Truluck's is very average.
I have been to this and the Dallas location. You will pay a premium price for very average food. The Lobster Bisque was bland for $19. I have had better and many other places. Scallops were large but again, bland. The bread rolls appetizer which is a nominal cost ($5) is nothing to write home about. There were three in our party and we all agreed, you can get better at many locations and pay less. Our server was fine, not great nothing to complain about. It is loud here and there is a line out the door at the opening for the half-price items. That would be the only way to justify the cost for the quality of food.

Food, Service & Atmosphere is top notch! We have been twice & love it! Not a cheap place, but worth going for a special occasion especially!
Be the first to ReplyThe food was delicious and just the vibe was just so classy.
We tried the sea bass and grouper and I would come back. The calamari is in the spicy side if you are not the type to love spice stay away.
Be the first to ReplyWe enjoyed a Valentine's Day dinner at Truluck's.
We initially were put on a waitlist for the busy evening and the restaurant was great with following up and finding a table for us. We sat at a great high top table in the bar area and we were very impressed with our server, Jelena. What a gem! The food and drinks were excellent. The atmosphere perfect for a special date night.

I was visiting Naples from Northern Jersey and walked past Truluck's on a Saturday night. The restaurant decor looked like a NYC restaurant. I had no reservation but the friendly ladies at the reception area said I might get a seat with my guest in the bar area. I was warmly greetied by the lovely waitress Heidi & she got us a high top. The steak was cooked to perfection & please order the mushrooms. Heidi was so professional & friendly. The manager Jimmy Flannery came over as he wanted to know how our meal was. He was very accommodating & welcomed me to this amazing restaurant I highly recommend this restaurant. The vibe is very NYC...next time I'm getting dessert!!
Be the first to ReplyThey never disappoint.
They say oceans finest, but I got to tell you, their seasoned Ribeye is the best I've ever had. And coming from someone who is no stranger to food (a hint on me being slightly overweight) it is the best! The lobster Mac and cheese side,,,, wow. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed
Be the first to ReplyDined for 3 in Naples on 3/24.
.. this restaurant is GROSSLY overpriced for food quality! caesar salad like a McDonalds. Server trained at a 10! Excellent We have had better lobster in Naples at 60% the price. They intimidate you in advance with the bogus "strict" dress code We over dresses.. walked in behind guy in jeans which supposedly was not allowed. I will NOT return.

My husband and I dined at Truluck's last night with our granddaughter celebrating her 18th birthday. Our dinner was absolutely fabulous! The crab legs, the filets, the side dishes and the Baked Alaska were all beyond amazing and the service was impeccable! Thank you for a beautiful evening! The McCarthy's.
