Overrated!
Overrated and expensive! Paying for rolls at a fine dining establishment is wrong! 18.50 for a very weak cocktail! Very loud atmosphere with no view. Chewy steak and tasteless Parmesan mashed potatoes. Free birthday dessert had a nice presentation but tasted like a supermarket ice cream cake. Service was good but that is about all! Next time we will go back to Ocean Prime!

We visited Truluck's for an early dinner and were once again delighted with both the food and the service. Jillian greeted us and took care of our beverage order and then offered suggestions for dinner. Despite taking care of several tables, Jillian was attentive throughout the evening. Looking forward to returning soon.

From start to finish the experience at Truluck was phenomenal. Mario, our server, did a great job and was very attentive. We had the house rolls and meatballs to start. The portions were huge. For entrees we had stone crab and filet. Both were excellent. Dessert was crème brûlée and carrot cake. I think that might have been the best carrot cake I’ve ever had. Treat yourself to Truluck. It’s worth every penny.

Great place. No reservations, found a table in bar area. Been eating Stone Crabs locally, and they had the best. Platter was great. Our server, Harmony, made all that much better. Very welcoming and truly wanted to make our experience all the best . 5stars!!

Be the first to ReplyGo for the Raw Bar items.
Wonderful oyster stone crab claws and carrot cake dessert. Main at this price point very disappointing. The black grouper was nicely cooked with a small emulsion the large plate was filled with a whole “tree” of broccoli very hard as too large to be crunchy after barely being warmed through and badly drained making the plate wet. Not an appetising look and even worse tasting experience. A nice piece of fish ruined. With regret will only return for stone crab claws at the bar.
Be the first to ReplyA dissapointing meal at Trulucks
Trulucks has been a favourite restaurant of ours in Naples Fl for many years. It is an upmarket restaurant with an upmarket menu and price, but normally we are well satisfied. Most of our meal was good as usual ( the server not so good ) but the mains were very disappointing. We both had grouper ( small portion but perfectly cooked ) and then 2 enormous thick stalks of under cooked broccoli! It felt like a lazy way to make the plate look full but spoiled our experience! I think the price for the mains was $58 , but definitely not value for money. This experience has made us think if we will drop Trulucks from our Nsples restaurant list in future. On the stars, it would have been 4 stars but 1 star for the mains. Come on Trulucks you can do better than this!

Service was very good. The Food was the problem. Bread looked very good ( wonder bread tastes better). Oysters told to be Large from Mass. came out the size of Little neck Clams. Cesar Salad must have been prepared the night before (salad mushy, Cheese Dried Out and tasteless and I can go on from there.

From the moment we were greeted by the hostess to being wished a Happy Birthday I knew this was the perfect choice. The dinner was delicious of miso sea bass.and crab fried rice. The appetizer also delicious. The complementary birthday desert of baked Alaska was such a special touch. So delicious and such a nice surprise. I can’t wait to return!

Fabulous food, decor and service. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The atmosphere was festive and fun. Live piano music added to the ambience.

This by far the Best Restaurant in Downtown Naples on Fifth Avenue. The food and the service is always at its best. A special thanks to the General Manager Ken, Maître d" Terry and our waiter Anthony for making the evening great. Try the King Crab legs they are delicious.

Have enjoyed this restaurant in Texas but this visit in Naples was outstanding from beginning to end. Service from Seth at the bar to Anthony at our table was beyond exceptional. Husband had lobster and I had the amazing crab cake. Absolutely delicious. Great experience from beginning to end.

This was supposed to be a special birthday celebration for both me and my mom (who turned 89 that day.) at Trulucks Naples. While the waitstaff was superb, the experience was...meh. The maitre d' kept adjusting the volume of the music, and it was rather loud at one point (we were seated at the table right next to the entrance, which was also distracting and which lent itself to hearing the bar music.) The food arrived and the main course and companion vegetable dishes were all so salty they were barely edible. In fact, there were chunks of what looked like rocksalt on some of it. (We brought it home and rinsed it off, thinking it would be better the next day, but it wasn't.) We did not complain or address at the time, as we did not want to upset my parents. In hindsight, we should have. Coffee at the end was brought in a french press which was nice, but the mechanism was bent and the coffee was full of grounds. The waitress made it right, but... for a several-hundred dollar dinner, it was disappointing. Finally, a friend had called the restaurant's published number 3 times to request a special bottle of wine be brought to the table. No one answered or called back. I also called the next day, and the following day, to advise the chef that the food was on the salty side, as a courtesy, but no one picked up or called back. That was almost 2 months ago. Sadly, we won't return.

This place offers a first class dining experience that is hard to find .Our server (Sami ) was one of the best servers I have EVER had .She was truly happy to be there ,seemed to lover her job , and really went over and above . The food was fantastic and the quality you would expect at an upscale steakhouse .From the dining room we could hear the piano bar and it just added to the amazing experience. Can’t wait to be back . The guy at the door ( “Manager “? - older chap ) was fantastic also and extremely welcoming and a great sense of humour.

It was difficult getting reservations on the day we dined and I could see the restaurant become more and more crowded as we had our drinks and meal. The lighted drink and food menus were nice to have as the room’s scene was set for evening dining. The waiter told us about the specials for the night in detail including the price. This was a pricy restaurant so plan to spend a lot. We shared the shrimp cocktail with atomic cocktail sauce. The shrimp were huge and the sauce had some heat. We really enjoyed it. I ordered a 7 oz. filet while the others ordered fish. Some meals came with sides of vegetables or mashed potatoes. Mine came with a half of a roasted garlic and a little salt. The service was very good. Our waiter was attentive, our water glasses were frequently refilled, and our plates were cleared after we finished. We did have to ask for bread plates and they were brought immediately.

Service was good. Everyone at my table enjoyed their meal. I ordered a salmon dish. Everything served after the appetizers was way too salty. I ate some of it, but left most. The creamed spinach was also very salty. I wasn’t impressed for the price.
Be the first to ReplyNot at all worth the money
What a total waste of money. The only good thing - and the best thing was the stone crab claws though we paid about $150 for four jumbo size. The rest of the meal was very average and sent the bill well over $400 for two people. Waiter oversold me on a larger portion of fish - I never would have finished the smaller portion. The crab fried rice tasted mealy and left over, the creamed spinach was pasty. Just overall not a good experience. In hindsight, we would have ordered two more crab claws, at the ridiculous price, and called it a meal. I think 20 years ago, this place offered something that no one else did - not any more.
Be the first to ReplyBest seafood restaurant in Texas
Amazing seafood. I loved the stone Crab. Closest I’ve tried to Joe’s in Miami. The miso glazed fish was superb. The baked Alaska was good but not great compared to high end French restaurants. By far one of the best seafood restaurants in Texas. The second floor is the place to sit. First floor is less formal and more bar like.

This was our first visit for several years and we were looking forward to it, albeit for a business dinner. It didn’t start well when three of us were shown to our table and it was only set for two, not the best start for a restaurant of this caliber. Our server was ok but seemed completely disinterested in our table, more focused on selling us the specials. My cosmopolitan was disappointing and for some strange reason my husband’s champagne came with the addition of a cherry on top! The tables were certainly packed into a small space and several times my husband’s chair was knocked by the servers but no apology. Towards the end of the meal they started relocating chairs and kept knocking the empty chair next to me which was a little annoying and again no apology. The food was good, but not exceptional. Unfortunately the restaurant has changed and doesn’t live up to the price tag.

Trulucks was and still is one of my fav restaurants in Naples/Marco and I am a resident so I can't count the times I have been here. The food menu is pretty much the same year after year and that's good; the grouper , the Chilean sea bass and all fish dides are their stock in trade, specialty, and worth the price. Our group of 6 all had fish and loved the salmon and sea bass. My lobster bisque was great and they load up the bowl with lobster chunks..mmmm! The freshly baked bread loaf is tops as well and not to be missed! The mixed drink I had before the meal, however, was a huge disappointment despite the fact that they only offer premium liquor in their drinks! My Bloody Mary was pink , not red, as a result of the narrow glass being full of ice with no taste of tomatoe juice nor of the Absolute liquor I requested?! I told the waiter who asked if I wanted a refill and I told him my story and showed him that the glass still was 3/4 ice in it! He just passed my complaint off with: "That's the way it's made by the bartender.." What!? They do a lot of trade at their bar so I should have asked for the maitre d' but I don't like to complain. The best drinks I found were at Delmars and I advise going there beforehand for first class mixed drinks but going for the food at Trulucks or just stay and eat at Delmars which just about nudges Trulucks aside in service and has better seating since all 8 of us were scrunched into a medium size round table and we are all average size..

We arrived at Trulucks early and were among the first in when the doors were opened. Albina introduced herself and provided us with recommendations . Her attention and prompt service were with us the entire stay. We enjoyed a variety of drinks and dishes. Trulucks is a special place and Albina a special server.

Have been visiting this place for many years and it never disappoints. Such a classy dining room and service that works like a well oiled machine. Big shout out to Viktor who was our excellent waiter last night. Very pleasant to talk to and showed a good understanding of the dishes and was able to answer all our questions and guide us to choices that were right for us. And, most importantly of course, the food is excellent. This is a special occasion restaurant and that comes at a price. However it remains a firm favourite with us.
