Truluck's Ocean's Finest Seafood and Crab Naples Reviews from The Last Year
Great experience at Trulucks.
We went for my birthday and they made it very special. The restaurant is nice inside and everyone is very attentive. For appetizer I highly recommend the bread only $6 but very filling and delicious. We also got the crab cake for an appetizer. It was a good size and very flavorful. For entree we both got a filet mignon 8oz and the crab Mac and cheese. I highly recommend both! Since it was my birthday they give a baked Alaska dessert. It was amazing. Overall great experience. Will be back again!
We had our 31st anniversary here tonight.
We struggled on what to order because it all looks amazing. Our server John was world-class. He helped us pick the Ahi grade tuna and the 1 lb king crab with a starter of the classic shrimp cocktail. All we can say is wow! The presentation was fantastic and the flavors were unforgettable. Then surprised us with their version of baked Alaskan which once again was so delicious. The restaurant itself is beautiful and makes you feel like you're on a journey as you navigate a round.
Haven't dined at Truluck's in a while but decided to
Haven't dined at Truluck's in a while but decided to celebrate our anniversary here. A wonderful evening. The service and food are as good as ever. Our server Ivana was superb in making our celebration memorable. A special dessert was a perfect ending. Truluck's even followed up the next day with a phone call to make sure things went well.
Starting off being greeted at the hostess table with smiles
Starting off being greeted at the hostess table with smiles and "Happy Anniversary" and then seated at our table with rose petals and a card was a nice gesture. And our server, Heidi, was just as warm, smiling and nice. After serving us water, drinks and telling us of the specials for the day, we ordered our meals. My husband and I had a pre-dinner cocktail; dirty martini and an old fashioned. Both were made just right and sipping them while enjoying the Parker Rolls and our wedge salad started our meal off in the right direction. The restaurant can be a bit loud acoustically but when I can still hear the music coming thru the speakers, it's not that bad! Dinner was served at the same time; 8 oz filet with mashed potatoes and pan seared broccoli (the garlic sauce is outstanding). My husband had the snapper and steamed broccoli; sharing the potatoes as there is plenty for two! We did enjoy a glass of Chardonnay and Pinot noir with our entrees; both wonderful wines. Dessert was the flamed Baked Alaska for two! Flame side table presentation and delicious! This is such a classic and timeless dessert, glad they have it in the menu. Since this is a "special night" type of restaurant, do make sure you have a reservation. We came on a Sunday evening and it was filled, bar and restaurant. Service was impeccable and Heidi was not only food and wine knowledgeable but her attention to detail and lovely smile accented her serving skills. Thank you Trulucks for being our celebration restaurant!

Truluck's Ocean's Finest Seafood and Crab Restaurant is by
Truluck's Ocean's Finest Seafood and Crab Restaurant is by far one of the Best Restaurants in Downtown Naples on Fifth Avenue. We have been going here for years and the food and the service is always at its best. The restaurant is beautiful with a large bar and plenty of seating. Enjoy the piano player on certain evenings. A special thanks to the General Manager Ken for making the evening great. Try the King Crab legs or Lobster Scampi they are delicious. Parking is easy as there is a valet service.
I had a wonderful experience.
This place is quiet and you can actually enjoy your meal. We were a party of 4, the waiter was very attentive, knowledgeable about wine, and he made some food recommendations based on what we liked. We all loved our 4 different meals, all fresh, and all were delicious. Seafood and steak were the menu items we got and they were cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Nothing was missed and we left extremely satisfied with the meals and experience overall. I'll be going back to this place!
Food was ok but $120 for the king crab was wildly
Food was ok but $120 for the king crab was wildly overpriced. Service was decent however there seemed to be no bus service and our plates sat for a good 15 minutes. Carrot cake amazing as always. Fish (for my wife) was very average. For the price skip Trulucks and go straight to Mastros.
Overrated!
Overrated and expensive! Paying for rolls at a fine dining establishment is wrong! 18.50 for a very weak cocktail! Very loud atmosphere with no view. Chewy steak and tasteless Parmesan mashed potatoes. Free birthday dessert had a nice presentation but tasted like a supermarket ice cream cake. Service was good but that is about all! Next time we will go back to Ocean Prime!
Not even close to padt years.
We have done this 9 years in a row to celebrate 3 wedding anniversaries. We will not be back. Service was just ok, food was far from the usual so we will seek out another place to celebrate. There are many far better than Trulucks.
Great service, good food and drinks.
Restaurant is very clean. It has a person playing piano good music.
Another Enjoyable Evening
We visited Truluck's for an early dinner and were once again delighted with both the food and the service. Jillian greeted us and took care of our beverage order and then offered suggestions for dinner. Despite taking care of several tables, Jillian was attentive throughout the evening. Looking forward to returning soon.
Phenomenal
From start to finish the experience at Truluck was phenomenal. Mario, our server, did a great job and was very attentive. We had the house rolls and meatballs to start. The portions were huge. For entrees we had stone crab and filet. Both were excellent. Dessert was crème brûlée and carrot cake. I think that might have been the best carrot cake I’ve ever had. Treat yourself to Truluck. It’s worth every penny.
Dinner
Great place. No reservations, found a table in bar area. Been eating Stone Crabs locally, and they had the best. Platter was great. Our server, Harmony, made all that much better. Very welcoming and truly wanted to make our experience all the best . 5stars!!

I am 73 years old and I have never reviewed a restaurant
I am 73 years old and I have never reviewed a restaurant before, but after dining at Truluck's in Naples I felt compelled to promote the excellent food, service and ambiance Truluck's provides. Johnny G and his staff make you feel special. Edwin, our server was incredible, making suggestions and treating us as if we were his only table. Chef Estephan's creations were excellent, from appetizers to the main course through desert. If you are in Naples and are looking for an excellent culinary experience, you have to try Truluck's. You won't be disappointed.
I am kind of sad to write this review.
Formerly, I have loved Truluck's, visited many times, and rated it a five. This visit was different. After being seated, it took our waiter a long time to greet us. Then an even longer time to take our drink order. We had to interrupt him to beg him for an appetizer order, and we still had our menues and had not ordered mains yet, when we had finished the apprtizer. His name is something like Dusan. Just seemed out of sync the whole meal. The food was ok. The Calimari appetizer has suffered from Shrinkflation. Noticeably small portion, only 1 sauce (down from 3), and just kinda blah. Please go back to the old version! The mains were black grouper and chilean sea bass. The Grouper was very good and came with a huge portion of broccoli. The Sea Bass was slightly undercooked and not nearly as tasty as Nemo's. The crab fried Rice that accompanied the Sea Bass was fantastic--the best part of the meal! The creamed spinach side was very good, but the "Lyonnaise potatoes" were basically a sliced potato with a little beuchemel sauce tossed on. For $14, I expected more effort in the preparation. So things were ok, pretty good, throughout the meal. Then the bill came and it totalled $100 a person. Sorry but this meal was not worth that much. A 5 oz glass of St Supery Sauvignon Blanc for $22?? At Total Wine, a whole bottle retails for $26. Sorry that is too much mark-up. Stone crab claws were about $50 per claw!!! Are you kidding me?? So, sadly, too much is more than enough. This would have been a 4 but the pricing just hit me wrong, and pushed it down to a 3. Hoping it is just post Covid fatigue, and things turn around.
First time back to Florida in 5 years.
Always have to come to truluck's at least once a year. Evan was the best waiter anywhere. Stone crab claw season is the best in Naples, FL. Everything was better than I remember it in 2018. Perfect noise level and totally upscale environment.
Go for the Raw Bar items.
Wonderful oyster stone crab claws and carrot cake dessert. Main at this price point very disappointing. The black grouper was nicely cooked with a small emulsion the large plate was filled with a whole “tree” of broccoli very hard as too large to be crunchy after barely being warmed through and badly drained making the plate wet. Not an appetising look and even worse tasting experience. A nice piece of fish ruined. With regret will only return for stone crab claws at the bar.
A dissapointing meal at Trulucks
Trulucks has been a favourite restaurant of ours in Naples Fl for many years. It is an upmarket restaurant with an upmarket menu and price, but normally we are well satisfied. Most of our meal was good as usual ( the server not so good ) but the mains were very disappointing. We both had grouper ( small portion but perfectly cooked ) and then 2 enormous thick stalks of under cooked broccoli! It felt like a lazy way to make the plate look full but spoiled our experience! I think the price for the mains was $58 , but definitely not value for money. This experience has made us think if we will drop Trulucks from our Nsples restaurant list in future. On the stars, it would have been 4 stars but 1 star for the mains. Come on Trulucks you can do better than this!
The Food was the problem.
Service was very good. The Food was the problem. Bread looked very good ( wonder bread tastes better). Oysters told to be Large from Mass. came out the size of Little neck Clams. Cesar Salad must have been prepared the night before (salad mushy, Cheese Dried Out and tasteless and I can go on from there.
Exquisite and yummy.
Very nice location and great for a date night. Recommend five-star
Great experience! Wonderful food.
Server was attentive and friendly. Ambiance was perfect for our date nights. We will definitely be back. 10/10 all around! I ordered blackened snapper with creamed spinach my husband had the blackened grouper. We shared crab fried rice. Everything was delicious! We also ordered the Parker bread and also crème brûlée to share for dessert! Highly recommend. You will not be disappointed!
We went to Trulucks, Naples FL to celebrate our 43rd
We went to Trulucks, Naples FL to celebrate our 43rd wedding anniversary. On the reservation I requested to be seated at a nice quiet table. However we were seated at the first table at the entrance, and beside the servers room. Table location was extremely noisy, distracting and far from romantic. Why ask for special requests if it won't be honored? Also the restaurant just opened and was less than half full when we were seated. Food was good and our server Edwardo was excellent.
Wonderful evening!
From the moment we were greeted by the hostess to being wished a Happy Birthday I knew this was the perfect choice. The dinner was delicious of miso sea bass.and crab fried rice. The appetizer also delicious. The complementary birthday desert of baked Alaska was such a special touch. So delicious and such a nice surprise. I can’t wait to return!
Beautiful and delicious fine dining! Starting with the
Beautiful and delicious fine dining! Starting with the detail of white or black napkins for each diner from the hostess... so you don't get black lint on your white pants or black lint on your black pants. The ambiance is warm and inviting with open air, plants, and a very long lighted bar. Lots of seafood and meats here although they do have a small plant based menu. We had the stone crab claws and there were presented on a bed of crushed ice perfectly cracked to make it easy to enjoy! 4 entrees &drinks, plus our server Heidi equals 5 star dinner!!! valet parking available
We had dinner at Truluck's.
Everything was terrific. Service was wonderful. Our waiter was very nice, knowledgeable and friendly. Drinks were tasty/fun (my wife had something with vodka and dry ice that had it bubbling. Parker house bread was tasty. We shared the calamari appetizer, which was amazing. Both entrees hit the spot (scallops and branzino). We got the carrot cake to go (we were already stuffed)! Wonderful place to go. A bit pricey, so perhaps for special occasions!
We went to happy hour at Truluck's on Tuesday, early
We went to happy hour at Truluck's on Tuesday, early evening. We ordered crab cakes which were delicious and Grey Goose martinis with a twist which were fantastic! The bartender was superb, service excellent, prices reasonable, and the piano player awesome! We will definitely be back.
Went for happy hour with a couple friends.
The happy hour menu is very limited. I ordered shrimp cocktail and what was supposed to be an heirloom tomato. The shrimp were chewy and the tomato was a hothouse tomato serve very cold which limited any taste the tomato might have had. Would not go back.
Dependable Excellence
Fabulous food, decor and service. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The atmosphere was festive and fun. Live piano music added to the ambience.
Top restaurant !
It was our 5th time here and never disappointed ! Excellent service throughout the evening. Great quality of food and drink selections Fair price for value
Always the Perfect Choice for Dinner
This by far the Best Restaurant in Downtown Naples on Fifth Avenue. The food and the service is always at its best. A special thanks to the General Manager Ken, Maître d" Terry and our waiter Anthony for making the evening great. Try the King Crab legs they are delicious.
Amazing service. Amazing food.
Have enjoyed this restaurant in Texas but this visit in Naples was outstanding from beginning to end. Service from Seth at the bar to Anthony at our table was beyond exceptional. Husband had lobster and I had the amazing crab cake. Absolutely delicious. Great experience from beginning to end.
Disappointing
This was supposed to be a special birthday celebration for both me and my mom (who turned 89 that day.) at Trulucks Naples. While the waitstaff was superb, the experience was...meh. The maitre d' kept adjusting the volume of the music, and it was rather loud at one point (we were seated at the table right next to the entrance, which was also distracting and which lent itself to hearing the bar music.) The food arrived and the main course and companion vegetable dishes were all so salty they were barely edible. In fact, there were chunks of what looked like rocksalt on some of it. (We brought it home and rinsed it off, thinking it would be better the next day, but it wasn't.) We did not complain or address at the time, as we did not want to upset my parents. In hindsight, we should have. Coffee at the end was brought in a french press which was nice, but the mechanism was bent and the coffee was full of grounds. The waitress made it right, but... for a several-hundred dollar dinner, it was disappointing. Finally, a friend had called the restaurant's published number 3 times to request a special bottle of wine be brought to the table. No one answered or called back. I also called the next day, and the following day, to advise the chef that the food was on the salty side, as a courtesy, but no one picked up or called back. That was almost 2 months ago. Sadly, we won't return.
