Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar Anaheim Reviews from The Last Year
Don't waste your time coming here.
We spent $80 on an Uber and spend over an hour to get here and they rejected to serve us alcohol because they wouldn't accept our ID, since it's not a passport or an American ID. To treat your customers like this without shame is just so inhumane that this review doesn't even deserve one star.
The service was terrible.
Dirty . Rude bartender. Older crowd. Cash only. Wont be back.

I wish I could add zero stras! The fact that Felipe looked at my female friend and I and said nope you are done. It's by far the rudest thing I've ever encountered. Not to mention I'm with a 20 plus year cast member but I know I'm not had enough to drink. Not only that he touched me normally wouldn't care but he touched me and said sorry you gotta go that was the worst feeling ever. A man walked in so drunk he served him that's horrible
Trader Sam's Tiki Bar is an absolute gem! From the moment
Trader Sam's Tiki Bar is an absolute gem! From the moment you step inside, you are transported to a tropical paradise filled with whimsical décor and a lively atmosphere. The cocktails are expertly crafted and absolutely delicious - each one a work of art in a glass. The staff is friendly, attentive, and truly adds to the overall experience. Whether you're a tiki aficionado or just looking for a fun night out, Trader Sam's is the perfect spot. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and memorable bar experience.

With all the positive yelp reviews, sadly, I had high expectation. Our experience was disappointing. The food was alright. The ambiance was good.. however the customer service wasn't great. 4 out of the 5 staff we encountered wasn't friendly and didn't seem too happy to be there. The encounter with each staff from when we placed our name on the list, to getting seated, to ordering our food, was quite rude. Sad to say it was a one time experience.

Indoor seating is the way to go if you're looking for an experience based on the drinks you order. All food they offer which is a small amount is delicious. Outdoor typically has some sort of music playing sometimes live. The service has always been great!
Fun experience here.
They are located in the Disney hotel. Some of the drinks come with theatrics. You might even get sprayed with a bit of water! Great vibes and a nice place to grab a drink.
I am so glad to have found this place .
I was craving dole whip but didn't want to go into the theme park to get it ! This place is located inside the Disneyland hotel, by their pool area. You don't need to sit at their bar just for dole whip. You can walk to the side and head to the walk up counter and order your option of dole whip, or floats! The service was really fast for the walk up counter since it was just for the dole whip! The price is typical for theme park prices, $7-14 , depending on what you order. But the sizes are generous and I typically share with a friend! The dole whip here might even be better than the ones in the park ! You can sit down and enjoy your food without feeling the rush of being inside of the parks :) you can also add the coconut sprinkles which complements it nicely . The flavor is a perfect balance of pineapple and cream. The dole whip also comes with a souvenir cup for the kids ! I will forsure be making stops here if I need a boost of dole whip!
I ask about walk up bar seating for Trader Sam's although
I ask about walk up bar seating for Trader Sam's although the app stated they were not taking walk ups at the moment. They told me it would be about an hour wait this was on a Sunday around 5pm. I waited 35 minutes to be seated. We sat outdoors which I don't recommend on a hot day. There are a bit of trees that provide a bit of shade from the sun. We orders the Uh-Oh, Dole Whip Float, and Kalula-Style Pork Nacho Poutine (which does not have any pork). Everything was good my only complaint was that the Dole Whip Float had little to no alcohol. There was live music which was cool. The menu does not include price which means it is pricey our Uh-Oh drink if you wanted the souvenir cup is about $60. Definitely a cool spot, great customer service, but expensive.
A fun holiday drink
A fun drinking experience. However, if you have visited Orlando one you may be disappointed. Smaller with less interactions while you drink. Lovely food choice though. Very easy to get in
Great Atmosphere and Ramen, sit inside at the bar
We had heard so many great things about this place so we wanted to try it out. We heard it gets busy so we got there right as they opened at 11:30am (check the app). It is located in the Disneyland Hotel area, which you can reach by walking all the way to the back of Downtown Disney area. We went out front and got our name on the walk up wait list in person right before they opened, but you can do it on the app once they open. We only had to wait about 10 minutes or so to be seated. We were brought to the bar inside (you do have to be 21 to sit at the bar itself). To get the full experience I highly recommend you request to sit inside and sit at the bar. It was absolutely the way to go here with the theming and overall experience. We ordered the Mojito, the Tiki rum, the volcano, and the tequila one for drinks. All were good but the volcano and the tiki rum were the best. When certain drinks are ordered anywhere in the restaurant the staff put on crazy effects in the restaurant and its funny to be a part of. You do have to buy into the craziness though to have a good time. For food we ordered the long greens (fried green beans) and the Ramen. The Ramen was amazing and super flavorful and definitely enough to share, just ask for another bowl. Also remember this is an “enchanted” tiki bar so keep an eye out for some interesting “enchanted” things to happen around, especially at the bar. It was so funny. Overall, you are going to pay Disney prices for food and drink here (as well as paying for the atmosphere) so be aware of that up front so you don’t get sticker shock when you get your bill. However, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience here and would definitely bring anyone else coming with us next time to this bar.
Cocktails not worth the price.
I got a cocktail at the outdoor bar window, and it was a plastic cup of ice with almost no drink in it. What drink there was, was juice. I could not taste (or feel) the rum at all. Ended up paying 30 bucks for a scant cup of juice and a beer. Came back the next day to try the service inside the bar, which I loved in the past. Got completely ignored by the bartenders, and ended up leaving. I gave 3 stars for the ahi poke and the cheeseburger on our first visit, which were pretty good, and our food waitress, who was fantastic.
One of Disney's best places to drink outside the resort.
This restaurant/tiki bar is open to the public without needing a reservation to the park. What you will need is a reservation to the restaurant. If you plan to go you can make it on the Disney app in advanced for the day you want to go. The style of food here is a Hawaiian. They have tiki drinks and a good variety of other cocktails. I got the BBQ ribs plate but preferred the poke. Food could be better and the variety of menu items for food could be improved. The service here was friendly and the waiter was able to provide great service for our big group. The highlight of dining here not only is that its Disneyland but the overall atmosphere transport you elsewhere. From the tiki torches when they light up to the audible splashes of water nearby from the pool. I always feel like I am on an island vacation when I come here.
Have I mentioned lately how much I love Tiki bars?! Was in
Have I mentioned lately how much I love Tiki bars?! Was in town visiting for my one of my best friend's bachelorette and this was #1 on her list of things of wanting to do. And we had to make it happen! This tiki bar is located inside the Disneyland Resort, and you can get to it through Downtown Disney, which is what we did. They do reservations inside for only about 4 people at a time, so instead we walked up and just asked to be added to the waitlist, since we had 6 people with us. They sat us outside, but our bride really wanted to go inside, so I went back up to the host stand and asked if we could be added to the waitlist for inside. They said about an hour and a half. It's really nice because they have a text message system that will text you when your table is ready, so you don't have to hang around, but you do have ten minutes to report to the host stand before you lose your table. Outside, we enjoyed the beautiful patio on such a wonderful night. I ordered the Mai Tai, and of course I wanted it in the cute souvenir cup because I am who I am. Otherwise, they just serve it to you in a regular glass, which is not as fun. The drink was really good and delicious! I loved it. To eat, I ordered the poke bowl, and it was soooo good that I ate the entire thing. They had live music playing and a Hawaiian dancer. It was beautiful and tropical and for a moment I felt like I was actually in Hawaii on a beach somewhere. Such an amazing experience. Disney really knows how to do that! We finally got our table inside (which is 21+) and were able to be seated together which was so nice. Inside is smaller, but SO cool! Not really what I was expecting at all! If you order certain drinks (like the shipwreck), the employees do some fun stuff... I don't wanna give it away! The staff here is amazing and honestly so accommodating. If you love tiki drinks, definitely recommend this place for an incredible experience.
Cute spot and such a fun place to hang out.
Came here on a Wednesday night. No reservations so we did have to wait about 30 minutes to sit at the bar. The bartenders were upbeat and were in high spirits. Ordered the piranha. Way too sweet for my liking but were strong! As soon as we got to the bar, one of the guests had bought a round of shots! Good start to the night! One star off because we did have to wait a while and one of the bartenders forgot one of our orders.
Fun and Unique
This place is popular and sometimes difficult to reserve because it fills up so quickly. It’s not very big so that seating is limited. But it’s really fun to eat there. It’s not inside the parks, it’s at the Disneyland Hotel. You can’t miss it because it looks like a tiki hut. They have food to go along with the tiki atmosphere like a poke bowl and they also have chicken fingers, so something for everyone. It was one of our favorite places during our visit.
Jordan is the best bartender you could ask for! such a nice
Jordan is the best bartender you could ask for! such a nice guy. We only eat on the inside when he is there.
A must do when staying at the Disneyland Resort! The wait
A must do when staying at the Disneyland Resort! The wait for an inside table is worth it - the vibe and decor surprises are so much fun and really make the experience. My kids loved it too! Highly recommend the crispy green beans as a little snack with your drinks!
This place has such a great vibe! I would definitely
This place has such a great vibe! I would definitely recommend trying to get a seat inside because every once in a while they do a little special skit for you! If you can get a reservation online definitely do it because this place is very popular and the wait can be a while. The drinks are very delicious, just a little upsetting there are no prices next to them. The tiki tiki tiki rum was 18 and the safari swizzle was 17. Our waitress also let us know safari swizzle was one of the stronger drinks on the menu. The pu pu platter was a great sharing appetizer for two I just wish it came with something else besides the Mac. The only downside is they do not validate for downtown Disney parking because they technically are not part of downtown Disney!
We're big fans of the fun beverages at Trader Sam's.
We also love that they have a togo window so you can get your beverage and walk around the hotel. Sitting in their outdoor patio area transports you to Hawaii with the live music and slow breeze. The food was okay. My favorite thing on the menu was the French fries. Our server, Karissa was nice and frequented our table to check on us. Only star off was for the disjointed wait after we got a text that our table was ready. We waited another 10 minutes to finally be seated. Just text us when the table is actually ready.
Trader Sam's was one of those places I was afraid of would
Trader Sam's was one of those places I was afraid of would be too gimmicky and have decent food with ok cocktails... to my delight... they were more than what I expected. The vibe if this place was just so much fun... I enjoyed every little bit from its tiki theme to all the humor and lore behind the restaurant. Be sure to make a reservation... lol we didn't,but I think we got lucky because it was raining and they were not very busy. They told us it would be an hour and 30 buuut it really was only 30 min. But again .. it was raining, lol. The service was amazing.fun, humorous, and an experience. They have these moments where they shout and announce a drink or events, and it's so much fun. Our host was sweet and full of character I could not stop wanting cocktails.... their cups are sooooo worth it. lol, they are so unique.and the drinks were actually really good. As for the food, the dumpling and the wings were delicious... I preferred the wings, but you could not go wrong. Me and my partner got the burger, and it was delicious, but I do wish they would offer a med rare option.... it seems they only cook it one way, and it could have used a little more salt and pepper on the pattie. One of my friends got the Romen and loved it, and the broth was delicious!!! Overall, the experience was amazing... I loved the theme and service. ALSO if your a pass holder... you do get a discount. Just don't be rude like your owed something.... I've met some entitled pass holders..... if you're one just stay away lol See ya again trader sam!!!
Favorite bar in downtown Disneyland/disney hotels area.
Love the vibe inside and out and good food and drinks! The seating outside by the fireplace is nice as well! Would absolutely continue to visit and recommend this place to others. The Cast Members are always so welcoming and happy too!
I really enjoy visiting Trader Sam's whenever I am at
I really enjoy visiting Trader Sam's whenever I am at Disneyland. I have been coming to this bar for many years and have seen the various improvements that have been made to enhance the experience due to its ever-growing popularity. There is now a full bar on the patio that serves the same food and drinks. This helps make service much faster! When I first started coming here, there were only a handful of select items available on the food menu, such as pizza and burgers. But, when I visited last night, I noticed that they have added more dishes such as gyozas, poke bowls, and ramen. When I am able to get seating inside, I love ordering anything that triggers the interactive parts of the inside bar, such as the Shipwreck on the Rocks, Oh-oa!, and Krakatoa Punch. I would not recommend coming during peak hours because wait times can be upwards of 2 hours.
Lively bar crew
We had dinner here during our visit to Disneyland. We ordered the Pu Pu Platter and Wagyu burger with sweet potato fries. The panko crusted long green beans are amazing. We heard from several park goers to order these and they were spot on!! The bartenders are a hoot when someone orders certain drinkers. They have an entire skit they put on for the patrons and it’s lively. For dessert we had the Dole Whip with rum. Probably wouldn’t order that again and would go with just plain Dole Whip. Our server was Nikki and she was amazing, friendly, always smiling and checking on us.
Pass on the food
Cool vibe. Beans were delicious. Rest of our food was terrible. Gyoza & wings both terrible (from someone who loves both) Salad was pretty & sounded good but did not enjoy at all. Salmon was fishy & dry. Good place for a fun drink but would pass on food (would consider going back just those fried string beans!)
No Soup For You!
After our cruise to Cabo... I said lets stop by Trader Sam's on the way home (Palm Springs) Bad Idea ..mind you I've been there many times before "covid" But my buddy had never been..planed on getting him in "that seat "..So we walk in around 12:00 noon ..no one in the place ..no one ! so I walk up to the bar ..not one not two but three bartenders told us they cant serve us unless were on "the list" ..I'm like what list ? Go outside & talk to the girl at the podium..O.k... My buddy thats with me starts to try and get an answer out of the bartenders to no avail (sidenote he has written two books on customer service ;) after talking to girl at podium ...says they don't want there bartenders over worked ..WTF theres nobody in there?!? I can see if its super busy & I'll wait/list for a table ..but this is just dumb..like the @$$hole that puts towels on a cabana at 7:00 am in the morning & then shows up at noon...So we leave ..no drink.. no validation for parking ..just $31 for the privlige of parking & being treated badly...
Jungle Cruise bar
The whole place is Jungle Cruise themed and very fun. All the staff was nice and the bar tenders really looked like they have fun. They have special drinks that cause things to happen inside and the servers to do stuff too. Had Hurricane and some gyoza which all was top notch. Can’t wait to go back.
Horrible indoor service
I would like to start by saying that we love the version of it in WDW Florida. I visited the California version once with our teenage daughter, and we had a great time. We felt bad for the person next to us. He had to sit at the bar behind a wide, support pilar, could he not see anything & his plate didn't fit, we had to make room for his plate. Bartender didn't seem to care, focused on the heavy drinkers. Decided to take my husband for the 1st time. He never visited. He is a very low key, just wants to eat good food type of person, but my daughter sold him on it. Prior to our reservation, we had a few drinks at the Tarangoa Terrace. Some of the drinks were meant for 2 people, and I'm undergoing chemotherapy for bone cancer. I can't have any alcohol. The bartender was kind enough to just give my husband 2 glasses of the drink rather than to push the big tiki dish for it. Once inside Trader's at the bar, the bartender Felipe was very busy making googly eyes with some mature ladies well into being intoxicated. He ignored us for a long time. At check-in, I asked the hostess if we could have a table, something that I didn't think about ahead, as I'm new to this cancer fight. She said they only had the high tops and the bar chairs. Selected the bar stools, I knew there was a metal bar I could use to lift and sit. I realized it wasn't their fault and didn't want to be an issue. Higher chairs are difficult for me, they they also pose a risk of falling. For me, a fall could be critical. My bones are filled with tumors and are now fragile. She was very kind, I believe her name was Dianna. What she apparently did not know was that my bar stool would sink at any given time. As we were eating and our food was getting cold, the place was freezing. My stool began to sank, which compressed my spine, I had to immediately get up. My husband, not being familiar with the setup, immediately became concerned. Felipe, the bartender knew what was happening and laughed it off. He said somebody must have a loose screw and never offered to help us. I stated my issue, and he walked away. I am only 5'4, so by the time the stool was at its lowest, my food was at eye level. I tried to extend my spine as much as I could to reach my food, and it was very painful. I tried to stand, but by then, my husband was fed up. He decided to switch with me at 6'2 he was uncomfortable. Felipe, seeing all this just gave him a side view and smirked. Thankfully, the hostess came in, and she was horrified that she forgot about it. Either way, she felt horribly because my husband found it uncomfortable and was standing when she asked Felipe how quickly they could get it back up. He said it would be another 10 minutes and walked away. He then asked us if he could close our tab. His shift was ending. My husband tried to order a drink and was told it was for 2 people. We explained the situation and how the bartender outside accommodated us, and Nikki refused. I'm assuming it was to try to sell the tiki container. We were the last tab collected for closing, Felipe was too busy, still flirting with the mature ladies, convincing them to buy mug. I noticed one got to choose, even though she didn't buy a drink that came in that mug. Trying to salvage our dinner, I encourage my husband to order the drink and the giant tiki container. He reluctantly agreed but said he would not buy it. I noticed other small ones and asked Nikki, I believe that was her name. or Nicole, if we were able to purchase one of the other mugs. She acted as if we asked her to lick our shoes. Looked at us as if we were dumb people. Then, in a very condescending tone, said our tab was already closed, and we could not just buy the mug, it needed to be added to the previous tab. Instead, we would have to buy another drink. In a desperate attempt to salvage the night. I encouraged my unhappy husband to order the drink to go and buy the mug. It was not the experience I wished for him as a first-tmer. I knew about the sinking chair, and I can absolutely understand the hostess forgetting about it. Once in distress, there was no effort to stop the sinking, which should be available. The food was even colder by the time we got it figured, I couldn't eat standing, and my husband was desperate to find some comfort for me. Coincidentally, another couple came in and refused for one of them to have to seat behind the pillar. Told take it ir wait a hour. Yikes. We will stick to TS in FL.

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!
Worked perfectly
Was a little nervous at first but was pleased to see that the booking went through flawlessly.
Highly recommended.
Success on Short Notice
Was able to snag an indoor table at Don Angie through an absolutely seamless worry-free process.
Worked perfectly, thank you!
This is a crazy holiday season in NYC and I was very pleasantly surprised to see that AppointmentTrader works! Will be using again!
Worked flawlessly!
Worked so well! I was a bit nervous, but everything went very smoothly. purchased the reservation, and got into the restaurant seamlessly.
Love this app!
So glad I came across this app :)
Quick table in Miami
I didn’t have my hopes high as it was a party of 4. In 24 hours I had a carbone reservation available! I was very happy as my family really wanted to come here
Prime time, great meal
So easy and had a prime time which I can never seem to get on normal res apps. So worth it
Got impossible NYC res
instead of waiting weeks I got my 4 charles reservation instantly
Worked perfectly to get into Carbone. So delighted
perfect
Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate
Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??
Tune into NBC News - Top Story Tonight 7:40p ET
Let’s go. Get more people placing bids!
I will give you 50% of ALL of my PROFITS if you teach me how to make profits?
LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.
Appointment
Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
