We had a fabulous time here last year so there wasnโt much of a decision to be made about returning. I should start by saying that I am ancient and to me a five star hotel is The Savoy in London or the George V in Paris. CM is not a five star hotel on that basis but it certainly provides a FIVE STAR experience. The journey down wasnโt great, delays thanks to Emirates, air traffic control and Zeus, the god of thunderstorms, and the resultant missed connections meant we eventually arrived about 7 hours late via speedboat from Athuruga. There was some additional stress because of this but fortunately CM sorted it out, thank you Manjoola. We asked for and got senior water villa 68, the same room we had last year. It isnโt palatial but it is perfectly functional and comfortable. There is a bit of visible wear and tear on say the sofa arms and we had a leak from above the bed, whether water via the roof or a leak from the air conditioning unit we donโt know. Looking at the panel above the bed this has happened before. Anyway we mentioned the issue and no doubt it has already been sorted. We simply slept the other way round in bed, problem solved. The room was kept clean, neat and tidy by the excellent Imaz. At the start of our holiday 105 of the hotelโs 110 rooms were occupied. Where the people actually were is another matter, I amused Facebook groups with my โsearch for the other holidaymakersโ photographs which primarily featured glorious empty beaches. The weather was great. We arrived 2nd May and 10 of our 12 days featured wall to wall sunshine and hot hot hot. One other day had a hot morning then torrential rain through the afternoon, a respite and then the storms returned late evening. Walking back to the room that night was fun...many Mary Poppins impressions were done particularly in the gap on the boardwalk between the end of the sand villas and the start of the swvs where the wind was blowing a gale. The other day of the 12, our last full day, started well then became rainy enough to require postponement of the dolphin spotting trip and then developed into storms overnight. I know May is a time of change of monsoon although I donโt really understand the resultant impact that should have on us; anyway, for me if you go on holiday to the tropics then you get tropical weather and this was perfect. Last year the food was fantastic, this year the food was fantastic. Congratulations to Luthi and his excellent F&B staff. Breakfast was breakfast with plenty of variety. Apart from one lunch in Totem we ate lunch in Manta. Nothing wrong with Totem, we loved our nightcaps there sitting under the stars listening to the waves. And in the evenings, other than two dinners in the ร la carte Alizรฉe, we ate at the Manta buffet. We really like the buffet with its huge range of food whatever the theme. We like spicy food so can find plenty to entertain our palates. The Maldivian night was enhanced this year by ladies from a local island cooking real local food. FABULOUS. The only iffy component was at Alizรฉe where, on our second visit after a brilliant first visit, one course did not go right for me. I know that this is a real first world problem but if you are going to put foie gras on top of a tenderloin steak please make sure that it, the foie gras, is cooked properly. I can still remember the feeling of my mouth being full of fat and it is not a good memory. On the other hand the prawn ceviche was a triumph so I shall focus on remembering that. We were very well looked after. As an aside I think the dining experience at Alizรฉe would be better if the table lighting was improved a bit, I cannot be the only person who likes to actually really see what they are eating. A couple of observations about Manta. At breakfast I think it would be a good idea to have the egg station and fruit station further apart. And this is the first time I have noticed tables for dinner being reserved by the placing of a bottle of water actually on the table. We donโt care where we sit, we ate at tables out on the beach, on the deck and also within the restaurant but I am not sure that reserving tables is acceptable in a first come first served environment. I can understand the desire to please returners (such as us) but I can also understand first timers getting p*ssed off when they see a whole row of tables apparently taken. I also noted some folks getting to dinner 15 minutes early so they could grab a table on the deck, they were English of course. One night we were late to dinner and ended up at a lovely table near the water, probably as far as from the restaurant as we could be. Unfortunately it was a bit like being in the Bermuda triangle. Because we were off the main thoroughfare and because staff were more focussed on clearing up (it was late) we got forgotten about. I actually had to get up off my ar*e to go and find someone to get us some wine. Goodness me. And speaking of wine brings us to the sommeliers. Madu is a superstar and such fun. He knows his stuff and is keen to share his knowledge with like-minded souls. Thank goodness I passed the test and got his challenge of identifying a wine, a late harvest riesling, right. We had a lot of fun with him, the excellent Bhoumitra, Nithin and Geeth. Our last night found us being directed to a special table made up with flowers. Other people departing the following day were treated the same. Such a nice touch which says really all you need to know about this fabulous place. Well done Mevin for every member of staff is a credit to the resort. This time we give special mentions to Dhanna who checked us in and regularly thereafter made sure all was ok and Hishaan with whom I share the joy of photography and he is good, very good. So there is my review, warts (or should I say pimples?) and all and I am not sure there is much else for me to write. We were sad about leaving, having had a simply wonderful time. On the seaplane out I asked Mrs Grumpy whether she wanted to try somewhere else next time, her response was โWhy?โ To which I have no answer. Thanks for reading. Regards, David and Kate.

Beautiful place to chill out and relax. The staff are amazing. They genuinely seem to love working here. They are helpful, engaging, polite, extremely knowledgeable and an absolute credit. The level of service is fantastic. The food is outstanding. They really do have the most amazing chefs. And, wow, the sommeliers really know their stuff. And to top it all, the spa is outstanding. The most wonderful massage to unwind and wonderful treatments. Just blown away. Thanks to all the staff. Cannot fault this much needed break.

Good morning, We have just returned from our stay in this magnificent hotel. We were a group of 8 people and we experienced an unreal and unforgettable week both through the welcome of the staff (a nod to the superb Director MANJOOLA for her kindness and to the super chef DANIEL for his wonderful meals and especially for our gourmet meal that he concocted for us for our last evening A TRUE MASTERPIECE). This hotel is a sublime place, the postcard that we have in our heads will remain engraved forever Thank you all for your kindness and we look forward to coming back to you in this paradise in the middle of nowhere. We wanted somewhere very special to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and we are so glad that we chose Constance Moofushi. It was our first visit to The Maldives and it exceeded all our expectations. From the wonderful welcome as we arrived on the island and throughout our stay the staff were amazing, constantly smiling and nothing too much trouble. Far too many to name individually but a special shout out to Manjoola, Yaheem and Binju and extra thanks to James for setting up and decorating our anniversary table on the beach and our room boy who decorated our bed. Although there are 2 restaurants we chose to eat in the buffet restaurant and the food choices were fantastic and absolutely delicious with different themed nights each evening. Of course the views were spectacular, the snorkelling amazing but it was the tranquility and laid back feeling that was so special. Thank you to each and every member of staff both in front and behind the scenes for making our time with you so unforgettable. It was certainly a little slice of paradise and we canโt wait to return.

Our first time to The Maldives, and we went for this hotel after a great deal of research. We wanted something authentic, rustic, low key, but at the same time five star exceptional quality. Constance Moofushi delivered all of this and more, and totally exceeded all our expectations. We spent one week in a beach villa followed by one week in a water villa. The beach villa was spacious and airy, with an amazing outdoor shower and a lovely decked area just steps from the beach, complete with chairs, sun loungers and a hammock. The water villa was more compact but still plenty big enough, with a stunning view from the back deck and steps leading directly into the water. The food in the buffet restaurant was excellent, plenty of choice, and a different theme every night, in addition to the barbecue grill. The a la carte restaurant Alizee was outstanding. The beaches, the ocean, the marine life, the facilities, the food, the drinks, all contribute to a magical destination, but what really makes this hotel is the staff. Every single person, whether admin, management, bar, restaurant, maintenance, greeted us with a smile and a hello. Nothing was too much trouble, and we were made to feel very special and valued. Special thanks to Humbe and Janna for keeping our rooms spotless, Reni for the most amazing massage, Shiva for his snorkelling expertise, and Nuwan for ice cream service with a smile. We will be back!

We had a fabulous vacation at Constance Moofushi! The welcome was excellent with the visit to the island, the food is excellent with a varied buffet of several specialties and we were able to eat different fish on the barbecue. The little beach bar near the swimming pool is great and the restaurant also has quality dishes. For the activities, thank you to Mauro for giving us unforgettable moments with the whale sharks, the snorkeling around the hotel is magical with superb depths! Thank you to the whole team who took great care of these holidays!

We found paradise on earth! A total disconnection for 10 days: attentive staff, tasty and varied cuisine served by a professional and smiling team in the 3 restaurants and at the bar. Thanks to the entire F&B team. The resort is impeccably maintained, with very careful room service. Massages at the spa are performed by practitioners with magical hands. And finally the Diving center which is at the same level with a very professional team who allowed us to discover the nameless beauty of the seabed around the island. A special thank you to Majoola, Chef Daniel and Miles and their team. We will come back for sure!!!!

Honeymoon bliss. We started our Maldives trip at this hotel and we were not disappointed. We had a beach villa. This was a short walk from the restaurant and other amenities on the island. The best bit was the view through the french doors overlooking a white sandy beach and turquoise blue sea. Snorkelling 20-30 meters from the beach you were immersed in a coral reef with hundreds of fish. The room was small but comfortable. The bathroom is quirky as itโs partly outside. So when showering you look up and see the palm trees and other plants. Itโs still very private and there is no danger of being seen. The food choice and quality were very good and the staff excellent. Would definitely recommend staying here.

It`s all about the wonderful people from the staff who AGAIN made our stay unforgettable. The whole team is very friendly, ,and heartly . But of course we want to mention some of our "favourite" staff members who made our stay so special again: Dillup, Prianthe, Geeth, Vishal, Nithin, Koko, Bhoumi, Gopan, Hassan, Luthi, Raniith, Naas, Sam, Ali, Ahmaad, Saif, Shamma, the staff from Alizee, from SPA ( especially Wang and Pelton, the very nice young man at the SPA reception, and of course Shaji! AND OF COURSE MEVIN !!!!!!!!! Thank you for another unforgettable stay !!! See you soon !!!!!

My 4th stay on Constance Moofushi (the lovely barefoot island) and definitly not the last one. I had another beautiful, lovely, amazing stay there. One thing what makes this island so special is all the friendly staff how takes care on you every single day. Of course there is also the delicous food you get every day, the lovely cocktails, the beautiful house reef for snorkling, the spa - there is a lot more I could write about this lovely resort, but I think you just have to visit it and I'm sure you will love it.

Last week our fantastic holiday at Constance Moofushi ended, an earthly paradise immersed in uncontaminated nature that can be admired while snorkelling in the rich coral reef that surrounds the entire island. This is certainly the perfect resort to relax and not think about anything thanks to the helpfulness, kindness and professionalism of all the staff. We especially remember and thank Hishan, Fitte, Shammu from Manta Restaurant who served and entertained us at every meal; Nithin the sommelier, who always recommended excellent wine to us; Badhury, Gina and Aiman who checked in and out and Yamey who, with a generous gesture, made this holiday even more unforgettable

This was our third time on Moofushi! Although it was almost unimaginable, our high expectations were once again met and even exceeded! The entire Moofushi team goes the extra mile for you and you feel welcome and at home from the very beginning. The island offers everything your heart desires. Beautiful beaches, great bungalows and varied house reefs. The restaurants are small but fine. Originally rather skeptical about all-inclusive concepts, Moofushi shows that there is another way! Fine, varied food, great cocktails, delicious wines and outstanding service. This time we had a sand villa. Great! Thanks again to Mevin and the whole team. The next time we come to the Maldives, Moofushi will again be our first choice!

Our first holiday in the Maldives and we landed in paradise: the island, atoll, service, staff, accommodation, food, drinks etc. could be rated with 7 stars if they existed. Simply unbeatable - we will definitely come back. Many thanks to the amazing team who made our stay so unforgettable!!!
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful Contsance Moofushi .....................a touch of paradise !
Just back from a marvellous 7 night stay at Constance Moofushi in the Maldives on way home after couple weeks in Far East. Moofushi really is everything it says it is ............... the island, beaches and sea are magical and it really is a little gem - some might even say paradise ! Stayed in senior water villa and it had everything you wanted and we were well looked after by Imal who ensured the villa was well kept and always managed to do it when we were out ! The food offering in Constance Moofushi is exceptional whether it is in the general restaurant or the Alizee fine dining restaurant. Like any good resort/hotel it is the staff that usually make the difference and they were exceptional in Moofushi and to name check just a few, the guides who took us on the snorkling, whale shark and dolphin trips deserve a special mention along with Stella (Reception), Sam (Restaurant), Head Chef in Alizee who came around to our table to have a chat & check everything was alright, and of course Imal who looked after our villa so well but really a big " thank you " to all staff in Moofushi for making us feel so welcome and for looking after us so well. We were surprised at the number of guests who were returning to Moofushi on a regular basis and we intend to do the same !
Be the first to ReplyBreathe in and let the Moofushi experience begin.....
We have recently returned from an amazing 8 night dream holiday at the truly relaxing Constance Moofushi. We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and are so pleased we chose to stay here on our first trip to the Maldives - and to experience a seaplane โ wow! We stayed for 4 nights in a Beach Villa (No 20) which was a great location to access the Totem Bar and the quiet, beautiful beach where we sunbathed, swam, snorkelled, kayaked and paddle boarded. Thank you to Onesh for looking after us in our villa. (I also have to say that the bed was sooo comfortable!). We then moved to Senior Water Villa (No 76) for 4 nights where we were โblown awayโ with the amazing views of the open reef and beautiful sunrises, we were also able to watch an amazing variety of sea life directly from our villa steps. Thank you to Loob for looking after us and also for his truly amazing artwork on our bed decoration. Thank you to all the staff who obviously worked so hard to make our stay such an amazing experience including the staff behind the scenes. We would especially like to mention the catering staff serving at the Manta Restaurant โ for such a small island it is amazing the variety of food they offer. We enjoyed trying a variety of cuisine โ especially on the Sri Lankan evening. It was fascinating to chat to the catering servers and learn about their lives. I wish I made a note of some of their names as they became our regular, friendly and welcoming, faces at breakfast and dinner. For us, we enjoyed delicious lunches at the Totem Bar where we could sit next to the small lagoon appreciating all that Moofushi has to offer, delicious food and drinks, blue skies, turquoise water with reef sharks and trigger fish swimming in the shallows. Truly amazing. We would highly recommend joining Elenaโs (Moofushiโs resident marine biologist) snorkelling tour if you are first time visitors. It is perfect for experienced and beginner snorkellers to familiarise yourselves with Moofushiโs reef to find the best places to spot marine life and coral, including information about the currents and safety. Note - there are no lifeguards on the island. Oh โ I also have to mention that you must treat yourself with a spa treatment โ truly indulgent. Thank you Manjoola and all the team. We do hope to return to your beautiful island again one day.
Be the first to ReplyConstance Moofushi the very best
Just back from an amazing two weeks at the Constance Moofushi incredible island we were pampered from the time we landed in Male to the time we checked in for our return flight home , when i usually write a review i split it into the positives and the negatives but for the first time of writing i just could not find any negatives so here are the positives, from the airport we were wisked away to the Sea Plane check in and two the Constance lounge where we checked in for our stay plenty of food and drink if you wanted it and if you had time you could grab a shower or just rest up from your flight , after a great 35 minute sea plane transfer to Constance Moofushi you were taken to reception to pick up your room key fobs and were taken to your villa by one of the very attentive staff we picked a Sand Villa and was not disappointed our room ( No 35 ) was fabulous a bottle of fizz was waiting for us along with a full mini bar restocked daily the Sunset from our room was incredible there was two restaurants one buffet and one al a cart we could not fault either the food in both was amazing and the wine well you could pretty much choose anything ( my personel choice was an Italian Chianti called Danzante ) it went down very smoothly my wife preferred a Pinot Gris from New Zealand called Black Cottage which was also very nice , while we are on the subject of food we spent some of our lunch time's at the Totem bar they put on an amazing lunch the Steak was the best and nicely washed down with a pint of Lion Beer . The beaches well there is know need to get up early to put towels on your sun beds there is so many and loads of choices where to sit either on the beech or around the pool area we sat on the beach in the morning and at our villa in the afternoon where it was easy to just walk into the sea to call off, my wife and i are in our late 60's so we just wanted to chill out and thats exactly what we did for 14 nights,The staff were always asking us if we were ok , they couldn't do enough for us even in the main bar they got to no our drink preference right from the start of our holiday , there is so much more i could say about Constance Moofushi but we would be here all night lol its not a cheap island but it is the best island this was our 5th trip to the Maldives and the best, we are already trying to work out when we will come back. I would finally like to thank Manjoola and her staff for an incredible time. P.S. Christine my wife has told me to say thanks again for the Bag see you all soon .xxxx
Be the first to ReplyA wonderful experience!
Really, you'd have to look very hard to find any fault at all with this resort. From the delightful warm welcome, the well-equipped and clean villas and the charming staff, every aspect of our stay was wonderful. The seas around the island were warm and clean with an abundance of marine life close to shore as well as further out. The half-day trip to swim with a Whale Shark was one of the stand-out experiences of my life! The other guests were a mixture of ages from honeymoon couples to people such as ourselves celebrating our 30th Anniversary. If a week of sun, seas and relaxation is what you're after, I cannot recommend Constance Moofushi too highly.

Amazing Food, wonderful beaches and a great place to relax. The only disappointment was the weather as it rained quite a bit so we were limited to what we could do. The place has a nice little gym if you're a fitness fanatic like us. Sometimes the lunchtime service outside in the bar restaurant was a bit slow and it would be nice if they changed the menus daily. However, the food was great and the staff too.
Be the first to ReplyThe pictures donโt do this place justice!
The resort is as beautiful as the pictures suggest but the staff are what make this place what it is. Too many to list but a Big shout to Madu and his sommelier team who made our honeymoon extra special. The staff do really become friends by the end. We met so many couples who have been back again and again - itโs easy to see why. I would say the water villa we stayed in wasnโt actually as nice as the sand villa - sand felt more refined and perhaps newer. Food is insane!! Amazing house reef! Only slight negative was the cost of any additional excursions. We did the cinema (which was awesome) and manta rays - would have done more but it was $250-350 pp for many - Quite punchy when added to the price of the resort. All rooms should have nespresso machines too at a luxury resort. Small points of note but otherwise the perfect break

The Maldives, or without any question and fantastic and dream location. The water is amazing. The Tranquility is fantastic, and if you are a diver, the diving is on paralleled, we have been to the Maldives before, and had an idea what to expect, but Moofushi as a resort was absolutely fabulous. Very relaxed, food quality and variation every day was just brilliant with something for everyone every day. The service, attentiveness, and friendliness of the staff was really great and truly helped to make a relaxing holiday. A special thank you, also to Roula, who made the experience extra special. I also have to mention the dive centre team who were really great and made the trips more than just a simple excursion. A big thank you to Bea also who got me through several courses and made our time diving a lot of fun as well as educational! A fantastic resort no question fully deserving the review status here to the extent that we are going! Thanks again to the whole Constance Moofushi resort team!
Be the first to ReplyLovely holiday. A gem!
This hotel was recommended by our travel agent for which we are grateful. This was our first trip to the Maldives but hopefully it won't be our last. Speaking to other guests, many return to Moofushi year on year, so guest with seven or eight visits under their belt are not unusual. The hotel is all inclusive for food and beverages. Upon arrival by de Havilland Sea Otter you are greeted at the pontoon by Mr Ramasamy and senior members of staff and shown to reception. My initial impression of the island was a feeling of Robinson Crusoe, but thankfully, in this case Defoe's Man Friday consists of 240 helpful & professional staff to take care of you dawn to dusk. Don't take shoes. The hotel provide flipflops but walks are sandy, sometime corally, and barefoot is the order of the day. Take all personal toiletries and beachwear in your luggage as the shop is basic with beach clothes, jewellery and hats. The sun is very strong so take sun cream and use it. If you are unwell, the lovely Dr Hari is on call. The food is amazing and varied There is something for everyone and chefs take pride in their work. Tip; take a note of names of staff who go the extra mile as the hotel has an encouraging rewards system, so praise goes down really well. They do their very best to make everything perfect. We took a water villa and it was lovely to wake up to the sound and sight of the sea each morning and it is possible to snorkel off your personal steps, though there is a strong rip so do not underestimate currents. There is an amazing home reef teeming with fish, (watch those Titan triggerfish), and it is like swimming in a tropical fish tank. The dive centre is very professional. In the room, towels were fluffy and replaced daily, and the bed was the most comfortable I have experienced, since it was really comfortable with good pillows and lovely cotton sheets. Very clean. There are tea and coffee making facilities but you might need to ask for milk as only cream seems automatically provided. The Mini bar is complimentary and is replenished daily with snacks, water and wine. The Mantra bar serves the main restaurant. There is minimal evening entertainment a few evenings a week, and teenage guests may become bored if not exhausted by their activities during the day. Most guests repair to the Totem bar by the pool for lunch or for a drink after dinner to look at the sea or chat with other guests about the day under the stars. These quiet evenings, feet in the sea with drink in hand were magical. It can rain! Heavily! but brollys are provided. Special thanks to Binju. Thank you Moofushi. A magical experience. We will return.

Not our first time to the Maldives but the first to this resort, and it will not be our last. Since arriving home we have tried to find a negative comment to make and have failed miserably. This holiday was everything we hoped for and more. The friendliness of everyone we met was sincere, the rooms clean and well appointed and the facilities overall were great. The food offering was absolutely amazing and imaginative and the quality of the wines on offer in our all inclusive package were superb. Sadly the weather was on the windy side so we didn't take advantage of any boat excursions and it also meant that we could only snorkel on the arrival jetty side and in front of Totem bar once each during our stay, which was disappointing. The tide was too strong for us and also the visibility poor. Snorkelling on the Honeymoon pier side, however, was calm and safe throughout. At first we were a bit disappointed with the reef, having read other reviews lauding the quality of the fish and corals. The fish were there, fantastically coloured parrot fish and some of the largest Titan trigger fish we have ever seen, but we had expected more from the corals. That said, on closer inspection we were excited by the amount of regeneration taking place. The farmed frames are growing well, but it was the natural regrowth that was impressive. In a talk by the resident marine biologist we were given insight into the steps being taken to protect the reef and the environment around the Island which gives us great hope for the future. It may take several years before the corals are back to their pre-tsunami splendour but we sincerely hope we are able to return to see progress. If you are contemplating a trip to Moofushi, do it. Everyone does whatever they can that is within their control to make sure you have the very best time, and take negative criticism very personally. If you have a complaint, make it at the time, don't wait until you get home. Problems will be addressed and sorted out promptly. To everyone at Moofushi, thank you for our most wonderful Maldivian holiday yet, we will return.
