Enjoyed the meal I ordered on my first visit with friends and family. There was some wait, but my meal was thoroughly enjoyed completely. I will dine at this restaurant again for sure.
Be the first to ReplyGreat staff.
Quaint location. Good happy hour menu. Food was good! It's in a low key location. You might miss it when driving by. It looks like it's closed but it's an open business.
Be the first to ReplyFinally went to Tom Hank and Dick, the food was amazing.
Our order was taken by Hank one of the owners, who treated us to the smoked oysters + we ordered the smoked wings both were delicious. Our entrees.... Turkey burger(handmade) and cooked to perfection, fried catfish/ shrimp was so good with sides. Will definitely go back to try other menu items.
Be the first to ReplyI came here after Homecoming after hearing lord of folks
I came here after Homecoming after hearing lord of folks talk about it. It was one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a while. Firstly, it took our server close to 15 minutes to come take our order, despite it not being super busy. He wasn't very friendly, and he took a long time to even bring us water. Our glasses were empty for a while, and then we had to flag someone else down to get us more to drink. The food came out eventually, and it was ok tasting but there were so many errors that it was frustrating. I don't think I would return here because the prices don't reflect the service or food.
Be the first to ReplyGreat views.
Black owned. Tasty veggies. Deep Eddy's cocktails. Get the corn and smoked wings.

Continuing with my ATL reviews, this is my new favorite spot on weekends. All I gotta say is...... I'M IN LOVE WITH THE TURKEY LEGS!
Be the first to ReplyREMOVE the automatic 20% tip.
I leans towards being unethical and costly. What if the service is not worth the 20% tip????
Be the first to ReplyJames was a phenomenal bartender and gave great service.
However the hookah girl was very rude, dismissive and under trained. She seemed as if she didn't want to be there from the time we walked in.... Meanwhile, I could count 2 hands on how many people that was there. The hookah girl sat on her phone the entire time with her face balled up while letting her tables go under. We simply asked for more coal (in which it shouldn't be a request, it should simply be changed or asked if we need anything). She lack communication skills, and have a low understanding of service.... yet, expect a 20% gratuity. When I addressed my concerns, SHE LITERALLY WALKED AWAY. I've never seen anyone act this way in service. It's the rudest interaction I've ever had at a restaurant Once I asked for a manager, I realized he was the man sitting across the bar the entire time. His presence as a manager was not known nor did he step in to make sure the quality control of the restaurant was at its best. We stepped to the side to discuss the issue. While I expressed my concerns he LITERALLY called me aggressive for being direct about my service and the hookah girl. At one point he proceeded to walk away mid conversation. Clearly, he's in no position to be a manager. He's conflict resolution and communication is extremely LOW. My group of people are /were paying customers that ordered and drank without an issue. We are not peons from the street and shouldn't have been treated as such. The food was great, the view from the rooftop is amazing, I'll give credit where it's due. However, this experience completely ruin my night and my experience at TDH. It will be hard to ever patronize this business again. I've always thought and said nice things of this place but this was a disgusting interaction. Readers: please be aware of your choice to visit this place. Hookah Girl: lace front with braces and a headband Manager: Gentleman with locs Thanks James, the bartender for making the best of the situation C. Mar
Be the first to ReplyEasy to find great to hang out for a quick bite to eat.
I love their macaroni and cheese, wings, baked beans, bbq chicken and cornbread. Small portions which is disappointing for the price they should be more generous than what they are charging...Kids meal portions...It's not a sports bar for their TV's May or may not be working...Sometimes they have a DJ and that's cool. Service is inconsistent, sometimes good sometimes bad!
Be the first to ReplyTom, Dick, and Hank restaurant was a nice warm welcome to
Tom, Dick, and Hank restaurant was a nice warm welcome to Atlanta. We had excellent service and everything tasted fresh and homemade. I ordered the pulled chicken plate and added more bbq sauce. The chicken was tender and had good flavor, but the creamy/savory Mac and cheese and corn bread muffin stole the show. I've never had a corn bread muffin so moist and flavorful! The greens were also very tasty. My daughter ordered the 4-bone pork ribs, and let me tell you the meat fell RIGHT off the bone. Perfect flavoring, I'd say they didn't even need bbq sauce. Also ordered the Mandarin Mule specialty cocktail. I only needed the one!! The citrus was present and so was the vodka. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here.

Out of a lot of items. Service not that great. The patio was run down and dark

My boyfriend and I went for my bday, it was our first time going. The food was sooooo good I was kinda upset that they didn't have any oysters but other than that it was superb! Our waiter/bartender I think his name was Will had EXCELLENT customer service. Any questions we had he answered them with out any hesitation. The atmosphere was a very nice vibe we had the pleasure of sitting next to the bar. The tables in the booth were a little tight on the legs. We will definitely BE BACK!!!!!!

I've heard a lot about this little spot, and I was feeling some "soul food" later on a recent Sunday when everything else was closed, so I gave Tom, Dick, and Hank a try for take out. And I was pleasantly surprised! I really enjoyed the grilled catfish with collard greens and Mac and cheese. At first I wasn't sure the portions would be filling but they were and also tasty! The catfish had a nice char as well as a nice Smokey taste to it. While I waited at the bar to pick up my food, I saw some very tasty looking nachos and ribs pass by me en route to tables, so I am definitely interested in returning to dine in and check out more dishes! The restaurant is a small intimate space that has some bar seating, banquet, and table seating. It has a laid back atmosphere; there are tv screens present for watching the next big game as well. My order: Fried (Grilled) Fish, Collard Greens, Mac and Cheese. About $14 + w/ tax; came to $16 and change with a tip.
Be the first to ReplyTurkey Ribs were delicious.
Very expensive but I can't stop thinking about them. Get the fries and corn muffin. Use both sauces on the meat & fries (together)...trust me. Would recommend them for these items only. The server did her best being short staffed. Could hear the front & back of the house staff fussing and yelling at each other. Service and ambience left a-lot to be desired but my food selections made up for it. Won't speak on anything on the menu but the items mentioned above.

I happened to find this via Google Search and it was the best decision I've made! The food here is fantastic, the staff is super friendly. I will be coming back! The pulled pork and pork spareribs have been the best that I've tasted in a while. Literally this just tasted like home. If you're looking for BBQ in Atlanta, this should be your only stop!
Be the first to ReplyReally cute spot for lunch if you're downtown.
They open at 11:30 and Happy Hour starts at 12pm, Monday - Friday. Came on a Friday for lunch around 12pm. The bartender was our server for the entire restaurant. She was fast, but the restaurant was pretty fill by the time we left. Ordered the beef brisket planter with greens (but they brought out Mac and cheese so I kept it) and a side house salad. The salad was good, nothing spectacular. Lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, onions and cheese. Dressing is important and the ranch was super thick and creamy. The brisket was AMAZINGLY tender, juicy and well seasoned! One of the best that I've had. Just a tad fatty, but the meat was great!! The Mac and cheese is very creamy!! Not seasoned much, but it hit the spot. The cornbread muffin was light, fluffy, moist and sweet. Enjoyed it at the end as it reminded me of dessert.Definitely coming back to try to happy hour specials!

Oh my, this place is the best! I googled best barbecues near us during our stay in Atlanta, and this restaurant popped up. Since it was really close to where we were staying, we thought we'd support local business. We weren't disappointed. The servings were ample and just delicious. We had tried a "high end" place when we arrived in the city. It didn't come close to this restaurant and we paid a whole lot more at the first one. The atmosphere is casual and cozy, the service excellent.
Be the first to ReplyBoth locations are amazing.
The Ribs taste just like how they do in Chicago and each sauce is immaculate. If you are at the Main Street ( East Point/ College park) location the corn bread and grilled veggies are to die for. The Ralph Abernathy location has amazing rib tips during their happy hour.

TL;DR: Small spot with good BBQ and a casual vibe but super smokey inside. Great HH times and food/drink options.ARRIVAL: I came here for lunch around 3 on a Friday. I live nearby so I walked here but there's a small parking lot that fits about 10 cars.AMBIANCE: I walked in and immediately saw and smelled the smoke in the place from the meat smoker (I assume). It's a very small restaurant downstairs where you enter with about 9 comfy half-booths and a bar with seating that was pretty full. I heard another guest mention 'upstairs' and they were told it was closed.MENU: The menu has the standard BBQ items and HH menu contains a variety of food that anyone would be able to enjoy.FOOD: We got the brisket plate with collard greens and mac and cheese, half dozen smoked wings, HH chicken tenders (last minutes switch because they were out of the rib tips). The brisket was about 5-6 slices and the fatty ones were SUPER tender and flavorful, but not too salty, a couple pieces were a little drier, but I wouldn't qualify them as inherently DRY. The collard greens do not have ham hocks (which is a plus for me) but were a tad on the salty side. The mac and cheese was good but i've had better from other places. The smoked wings had amazing flavor but were a bit on the dry side. This was my first time having smoked wings, so I'm not sure if that's normal and to be expected, but I enjoyed them nonetheless. They came with 3 flats and 3 drums which might have been an accident, but I was pleased by this as I'm a flat fanatic, so it was nice to see a balance at the least. The chicken tenders were definitely a smaller portion, but for $5 a great deal; think kids meal with 2 tenders and crinkle fries in a basket. They were crispy and lightly breaded, but the grease got them a bit soggy and they lost their crispiness. They could use a bit more seasoning.SERVICE: Service was attentive and casual = comfortable. Food didn't take long to come out. Keep in mind, they do add a service charge here on every bill!EXPERIENCE: Due to the area this place sits in and the fact that it's just about the only restaurant in the immediate vicinity, sometimes there are characters that walk in or are banging on the windows from outside. The staff seems to handle it well though.PRICE: Amazing for HH. The price for the regular plates are pretty standard, but I'd like to see the amount of meat match those in other bbq places with the same prices.OVERALL: I'll definitely try to make plans to return and try the turkey leg (which I came here for but forgot to order... womp womp). It's an easy decision based on the fact that you can fill up on HH plates alone if you wanted, but i'll have to warn friends of the smoke. Note: my hair, clothes, and even purse smelled like smoke for the rest of the day and even others could smell it on me unprompted!
Be the first to ReplyAmazing wings! Will be back! Plus it's black owned.
