Ambience is cute and modern, a great spot for a quick date night drink. I didn't really love any of the food I tried, it seemed to just lack some flavor. However the service was really amazing and everybody that helped me out was spectacular! Unfortunately the parking is a bit of a headache as well
Went to the wayfarer for Mother's Day.
The vibe was nice and the service was great! Shout out to Brian he was a wonderful server working at an underwhelming restaurant. The drinks were pretty good but the food was not good. Average to bad. The fish and chips lacked flavor and the fish seemed like it might have been recently frozen. My friend's waffles and chicken took over an hour to come out. They said the kitchen was backed up but over an hour. If it wasn't for the food service we would have left. We did decide to skip dessert and look for it somewhere else because who knows how long it would have taken for fried dough. The vibe here is like poolside with no pool. They need to really rethink the quality of their food. I would not eat here again. Have drinks yes but not eat.
This place is actually pretty good.
View is nice and food menu is small but with fairly good selections. Prices are reasonable, especially for being downtown LA. Service was good. Took awhile from time to time for the server to come our way but unsure what staffing is like. She was prompt with our requests and helpful so no real Complaints. Food tasted good and the cookies are amazing!!! Now the guac.... It's more like avocado spread that you get at Costco. Same with the salsa. Neither tasted bad, just a heads up on its texture.
Not a 4 star property in my opinion.
The Hotel rates itself as 4 star. 3 Star at best. No wardrobes in the room. Only 3 coat hangers, very basic. No safe. No Tea/Coffee making facilities. Draws under the bed which won't open. Asked reception how to open for storage to be told they don't open. The only upside is they have a nice rooftop bar if it is not closed for a private function. Hotel had major issues with water boiler. 4 out of the 6 nights I stayed had luke warm water at best with the shower in the morning. Many guests had the same issue. Last but not least a shortage of irons and ironing boards. If you are loyal to Hilton which I am as a Gold member suggest you stay elsewhere.
NO HOT WATER!
I was prepared for a compact room, but this really was very compact. There is no closet for your clothes, just a random peg board with 3 hangers (Though they did send up an extra 2 when I requested). I could live with this, no problem, but what was really frustrating was the cold showers! Every morning I reported to reception that I had no hot water, and every morning I was promised an engineer would re-set the boiler. I stayed for 5 nights and suffered 2 cold shower every day. There was little point in requesting a different room as many of the delegates at the conference I was attending also had the same problem. On check out, I complained and was instantly offered a 30% reduction, it was offered a little too quickly that makes me think this is a common problem. They advertise a fitness room, there isn't one, it's a pubic gym over the road, this should be made clearer on the website as its not a particularly nice area of town!
Noisy garbage trucks at 4am and cold shower.
Worst hotel experience ever. Three mornings running was woken at 4am by loud garbage trucks at the back of the hotel. Three mornings running I had no hot water for the shower. Complained about shower, did not get fixed. Will not stay there again.

Hotel is lovely. Staff seem irritated and put out. No hot water in shower for two days. Manager was nice but, didn’t offer any suggestions for alternatives to issues. Probably won’t stay again . Plus is there are some nice if pricey restaurants within walking distance.
Confusing fees and underwhelming hot that is not a Hilton
No fridge or cupboard in the room, yes I could have researched this but I booked it as it had the Hilton name. It certainly is not Hilton standard The fees and charges are confusing and potentially not transparent. I was told that I had to pay a $500 USD security deposit for my 5 nights and from that there would be $25 a deduction per day (for exactly what I have no idea). I was then advised that if I ordered food from the restaurant or roof top bar to charge it to the room and this would come off the $25 fee. I felt that this was a way of forcing me to spend extra money at the hotel. Not wanting to waste money I ate at the bar/restaurant twice and had a cookie from the breakfast bar once. Instead of receiving $375 back I received 268 back. I emailed the hotel twice with no response. Very confusing the fees you add. I would not have ordered food from the hotel and feel conned in to spending extra money at the hotel. When I checked out reception were not able to provide any kind of confirmation of how much or when my refund would take place Had I known you were going to charge me an extra $232 I would have stayed somewhere else

Not best experience booking in, staff did not explain things properly which resulted in me paying for room again, had pre-paid but got confused after long flight. Got sorted on check out and got my money back. Rooms very compact, don’t think I would stay again through choice.
Lousy Hilton-Brand Hotel
This is the worst Hilton brand hotel we have stayed so far. Front desk lady who checked us in on 21 March night was robotic and did the bare minimum. No acknowledgement of being a gold member. They have staff hanging around the entrance chatting and doing their own thing and ignoring guests. No greetings or acknowledgement. The just stare at you as you struggle with the doors. Such pathetic service! Staff are really apathetic and awful to deal with. We had to remind them twice that we needed an ironing board as they didn't send one and they would just chuck it outside and run away. Each time we wanted to speak to the manager, we were given the excuse that the manager is not in and no staff was sure what time the manager would be in. For 2 days - no one has a clue of whether their manager is in? What sort of manager is running this place? The only saving grace is the breakfast crew serving coffee in the morning are customer-oriented unlike the rest of the Hilton staff working there.Stay away and really a poor reflection of the Hilton brand.

When I made the reservations the website offered buffet brunch for $69, I emailed the restaurant & said we would doing buffet & if they had bottomless mimosas? I never heard back, I emailed them twice. We were celebrating a birthday, and I was willing to pay for brunch, then I get an email that I have to leave my cc to hold reservations... no problem. I called an asked for a view & the attendant who answered said he would make note of request, but no guarantee...understood. When we arrived we were sat in a corner with no view...we were a party of 6. When we arrived there were maybe 4 other parties there. NOT CROWDED AT ALL!! NOT BUSY AT ALL!! We ordered bottle of champagne $64, 3 appetizers, 5 meals,1 of which was shared by 2, 2 cocktails =$480 gratuity included. The food was bought out at different times, we all were eating at different times. Unacceptable!! They tried to make it right by giving us 2 orders of beignets ... I don't mind paying for a view, ambience , atmosphere or food but this was a very disappointing & expensive outing. I wanted an experience and all we got was an astronomical BILL... I would not recommend this ROOFTOP DINING EXPERIENCE... NO BUENO...DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY...BTW ,parking was $20
This is a beautiful restaurant bar located downtown LA.
The restrooms were filthy. The service here was excellent. The food was not great I got the Crab cakes They were over cooked and flavorless. I also had two mock tails they were delicious, I forgot the names of them. Overall if you're looking for a restaurant with a view this is a good place to go to. The food is soso. This was my second time here. And I will probably go back.

We stayed the night here (cute, trendy hotel, but tiny rooms) & had appetizers & drinks at the rooftop. The food was amazing! We tried the Baratta with tomatoes & the crab cake bites. Highly recommend both. Drinks were good too, I had a Martini & my daughter had the LA Girl. The view is mostly of neighboring rooftops, but the space itself was very comfortable & nice. The service was excellent. A little pricy, but I would go again.

Brian is the best asset this hotel has. He was helpful, didn’t have an attitude, and was kind enough to hold our luggage so we could go out until our room was ready. Our room had huge chunks of PLASTER falling out. No effort in trying to blend the plaster with the walls. No ice machines, beverage coolers or microwaves in room or floors. You have to ask front desk for ice. Woman who worked on 3/16/2024 was rude to my husband (purposely ignored him etc). Doormen on their cellphones (both of them) and talking about women they find attractive instead of helping with doors etc. Snapped a pic of them on their cellphones. The check in staff confused me about my benefit as a gold member. I texted for clarification and she ignored me. We get in the hotel and there was an empty mini liquor bottle on chair and hot flaming Cheetos under bed. One of the outlets on bed didn’t work. Bathroom light didn’t stay on (must be on a timer) while I showered. Was startling for everything to go pitch black. The view I got was to some heaters at the adjacent building. This was horrid overall, but especially for the money. I checked the price of he day before check in and it was $565! Can you picture that for this dump?! The speak easy is closed btw and many people left disappointed do to their website not reflecting this.

Really satisfied with the service, food and drinks ! Kid friendly. Brought my daughter for her birthday on a Monday. The lady at the entrance is the kindest person, didn't get her name but she has blonde hair and glasses. Made us feel welcomed and was attentive. One sign was my favorite drink, not any place can make it. The Hennessy Sidecar is a miss at most places. They got it right here ! Main entree was the steak and huevos. Honestly really satisfied with the quality of the food. The guacamole from the chips and guacamole wasn't really good. It was too creamy, would prefer real avocado. Other than this place is a gem. I hope the quality remains because I would like to come back more ofter. The ambiance is great, the music is at a good volume and they have heaters to keep you warm and creates good lighting for the place. Very nice view of surrounding buildings.

The attendants at the front desk did not have a clue what customer service customer service should look like, the room had spider webs and dust in the ceiling and was extremely small, they don't even provide parking space in the facility. I would not come back ever. The rooftop bar had horrible customer service and the drinks where just super sweet and not good at all. Our burger was $30 and not worth it at all

Reviewing late still I need to share that my pillows are to die for, location is unmatched. rooms are IG mode that's without any addition WIFI superb! dreamer lighting, flowery scent in all areas and of course that complimentary beers is an icing on the cake way to do it Wayfarer Downtown LA
Hip but not functional
I knew to expect very small rooms but the space was not used efficiently. The bed was lumpy, towels were good. The most disappointing thing was the TV would not work. It worked on and off at night (frustrating when the connection is lost during a movie) but I like to start my morning with the Today show and never had connection all day. Ugh. Breakfast was fine although overpriced. There was a discount parking garage so that is helpful. No refrigerator. Very hip, cool but not terribly functional.

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.

Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
