Wonderful atmosphere and very friendly service. The food was excellent! Best mussels ever! We an definitely recommend this restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyMust visit, amazing food
Venue, amazing, staff amazing, food amazing, wine amazing, it’s a must visit. Was recommended by a friend and exceeded expectations.
Be the first to ReplyGreat potted crab!
Lovely little bistro serving delicious home made food. We had a snack lunch which consisted of potted crab and toast, a glass of Australian Chardonnay was just perfect to go with it. A great find in central Galway. There’s outside and inside seating.
Be the first to ReplyAn excellent choice, in Galway
Among the best pubs we’ve visited on a two week tour around Ireland. Especially recommend the Irish Stew, but everything was delicious.
Be the first to ReplyGood food and gluten free
Dinner was fabulous and almost everything was gluten-free. We had calamari, fish and chips and beef stew. The stew was really tasty. Highly recommend stopping here for a meal.
Be the first to ReplySO GOOD!!
SO GOOD! Portions were very generous, and food was delicious! We enjoyed all of our dishes and would definitely recommend and go back for more. Also, don’t skip out on their dessert… it’s amazing!
Be the first to ReplyCool small spot
Stopped during my tour for lunch. The food was good. My family and I had the fish and chips. A very abundant amount of food. Sat outside people watching which was fun.
Be the first to ReplyBest restaurant in Galway city
Every dish was excellent, Roast Pork, Lamb shank, Fish n chips I had this 2 nights in a row it was sooooo good, Mussels, spicey beef salad, deserts all excellent, service just right, no hurry but the waitress was there when we needed one. I will go back with my family, two hours drive but worth it.

Friendly service but food only average and pretty boring , somewhat overcooked , Seafood overcooked average portion, came with tons of bland vegetables. Fish and chips portion was ok, fish has a lot of batter and deep fried. Lamb portion was large, and such a big pile of Mash with it ,not the most appealing. Dessert prices are steep ,no lemon cheesecake but took another cheesecake just tasteless, piled with cream, looked very nice on the plate but very disappointing. Tea cup had several chips on it. Not the best experience,to be honest don't know if We would go back unfortunately.
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful flavours and lovely service.
On a rainy winter's day we had lunch here. The menu seemed good and the food was excellent. We shared a traditional potted crab and some calamari then a large large pot of mussels. Lovely flavours, well cooked. Well done, chef and well done the front of house: efficicient, attentive, and courteous without being your new best friend. A very good experience all round.
Be the first to ReplyBest restaurant in town!
Very delicious food and nice service. The kids loved the bruschetta and my wife got the steak and I had the best lamp I have ever tasted.
Be the first to ReplyGreat place for lunch!
Prompt service, delicious food and lovely little cafe ambiance. It was perfect for lunch for our family of four. I had a hearty Irish stew and the rest of my party had a bean burger (several vegetarian options), spicy chicken sandwich and a bacon cheeseburger. There was no one there when they opened at noon.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent food Excellent service
Lovely small restaurant in the Latin Quarters. Food was delicious we ordered the fish and chips big portions . Restaurant got pretty busy very quickly. So go early if you need lunch. Staff extremely friendly. Totally recommend 5*
Be the first to ReplyExcellent service, delicious food
We were lucky to get a table without waiting. The service was excellent in a special way and the food was tasty. The portions are very large and everything tastes delicious. It was the best restaurant I experienced in Ireland so far.
Be the first to ReplyMediocre
In a row of restaurants on quay st. Limited menu, food was okay. Good service. Got the chowder, mussels and sweet potato fries.
Be the first to ReplyThe line may be long but worth the wait.
You can't go wrong with their burger. It's not just the meat but the mix of sauce that stirs the palette that it's no ordinary hamburger. Mussels with white creamy sauce is to die for. Fish n chips crunchy.

Had the seafood chowder which was highly recommended by other viewers. It was meant to be served with a brown bread scone, but was served with two slices of barely toasted white bread. (They ran out of scones by 6:00 pm?) The chowder was being being served all night with the pale triangles of bread to unsuspecting dinner guests. Had I known, I would have selected something else. The chowder itself was scorching hot … even after the salad, it was still too hot to eat. Finally, the restaurant felt overrun by tourists. I believe the best places are where the locals eat. This is not that. The wait staff were lovely but the food … not so much. Hard pass.
Be the first to ReplySimply outstanding!
This place absolutely deserves all the great reviews. The food is stunning and easily the best we had while in Galway. For starters, we tried the potted crab which was good but perhaps not our personal cup of tea. For mains, my husband got the lamb shank which was perfectly tender and came with the most delicious gravy. We had lamb shank all throughout Ireland, and this was the best. I got the goat cheese salad, which was next level delicious. Warm, melty goat cheese, sweet caramelized onions all on fresh greens. I was in heaven. I still dream about it. The portions were large and the prices reasonable. We waited about an hour to get in here, but it was worth it. Don't miss this place!
Be the first to ReplyGenerous (and good) serving of fish & chips!
Early dinner at dusk on a January day. Woman writing the specials on a board outside. Cozy nice ambience. We both had the day’s special fish & chips. VERY generous portion — three pieces of fish and a whole basket of fries (chips) and a good small salad. We could have split one but in fact, we each ate the whole thing! Good service. Very pleasant!
Be the first to ReplyExcellent Fish stew
Stopped for lunch on a wet miserable day & the spicy fisherman’s stew was just what I needed. Plenty of fish & loads of flavour. Nice atmosphere & excellent service, I’ll be back.
Be the first to ReplyWouldn’t recommend
Kids had a decent meal although the burger was pretty cremated, chicken wings were quite nice, myself and my husband ordered the chowder and it was very poor, probably one of the worst I’ve ever had, it was over cooked and felt like someone over boiled all the leftover fish in the kitchen, I couldn’t eat more than a few spoonfuls, it was literally sickening unfortunately. Would also be nice if the staff were trained better and asked how the meal was or recognised when they are clearing tables and the plates are still full. Sorry hate leaving bad reviews but such a cosy little restaurants the food could be so much better
Be the first to ReplyA lovely cosy restaurant with good vegan options and great service
We read previous good reviews and decided to visit here during our trip to Galway. It did not disappoint. So much so that we went back the day after. The tomato and basil soup was particularly good. It’s a lovely setting and the service was excellent.
Be the first to ReplyExclusive and Chic
This small, chic, and modern restaurant is one of the many that you can find on one of the alleys of the center city Galway. Here is where we escaped the lovely buckets of rain and had a meal that left us with a box of takeaway for our Air BnB that didn’t have a microwave (oof). Americans are most certainly burger people and I can say that as a representative of the aforementioned group, they make one hellava good burger. No extra dressing or condiments are needed. The burger was a menu special (Bacon and Cheese) but let me tell you, if they have it, get it and you won’t regret it. Everything is so well proportioned; the lettuce, tomato, sautéed onions, ketchup, and house-made special sauce paired with a basket of chips leaves you to say “how do they do that?”. Of course, all beef is local, and be advised that burgers are ONLY cooked well-done (some legal thing prevents them from doing it less than well-done). If you’re looking for a place for a draft beer, maybe get food here and a pint else, whereas the only have bottled beverages which to me is a downside but the food is most certainly an upside. Oh if you get soup just know that it is large enough to be a meal, wasn’t aware of that when I ordered the burger!
Be the first to ReplyGreat for dinner!
