The Olde Pink House Savannah Reviews
Heaven on a pretty dish
The old pink house is one of my favorite restaurants in the whole world. Every time I come to Savannah, which is fairly often these days, that’s the first place I go. The biscuits especially are absolutely amazing. Every dish there I’ve ever ever had has been excellent. The atmosphere is amazing, the traveling singer is divine, and I love this place

Amazing food! We had the BLT salad! I had scallops and my husband had fish and these were the best we've ever had! The cocktails were delicious too!! Great atmosphere!
Delicious food and tasty cocktails! Got the appetizer
Delicious food and tasty cocktails! Got the appetizer special (breaded eggplant with cream sauce) that was amazing, as was the flounder, grits and greens, and fried green tomatoes. Wasn't the biggest fan of the mac and cheese. Finished off the night with some delicious creamy creme brûlée! Prices were on par for quality of the food. Overflow section by the bar got us in quickly and without a wait, despite it being the weekend.

Austyn was such a great server! He was knowledgeable about the house and shared history as we ate. the food was delicious! and the atmosphere of eating in the rooms of the house and exploring the house were so cool
A must eat in Savannah
The Olde Pink House is a Savannah staple and a must restaurant when you visit Savannah. They consistently have great food, service and ambiance.
So we showed up 24 hours early for our reservation .
The ladies at reception were so kind and told us they'd be able to get us a table. The food, service and atmosphere were all amazing. Charlene stopped by our table to check on us and provide us with some history of the restaurant. Having worked in the service industry I can tell how well trained the staff is. Cannot say enough good things about everyone we encountered. They work as a team and treat everyone as a GUEST, not a customer. Can't wait to visit again
I've been here twice.
The first time I would give it 5 stars. It was lunch and we ate in the quiet downstairs back room. Our waitress was informative and nice and told us every thing in detail. She even combed crumbs off the table. At the end of lunch she gave us an information sheet about the house and told us about it. This time for dinner they put us in the ballroom and it was loud. We couldn't enjoy ourselves because we couldn't hear to talk. Our waiter told us nothing and was slow with everything. We didn't get our main dish for an hour and a half. Everyone around us was eating and leaving. That tells me he forgot to put the order in. It's also about $10 more expensive per meal for dinner for the same amount of food. The only think I liked better about dinner was there is a lady with an amazing voice that was singing. The food is absolutely amazing. That's why we came back. The house is gorgeous. They let you walk around after and see the different rooms. It's just a shame I had two very different experiences here. I would try again but at lunch.
This place is amazing.
If you are in Savannah def dine here for a meal. Our waiter was so nice too. I suggest getting the southern sushi and low country she crab soup. I have had some pretty good clam chowder and this soup was even better. The grilled tenderloin and pork chop were both perfectly cooked and juicy. The sweet potatoes were to die for. Only wish we had ordered dessert too.

Loved! The food was great, the atmosphere was great, the service was great! I'm not sure that it'll change your life, but truly loved the experience. We got a last minute reservation on a Wednesday and it was well worth the trip. We ordered drinks, appetizers, entrees, wish we'd saved room for dessert. Everything was delicious! The southern sushi was particularly unique and I really liked what I ordered. No complaints! Our server was knowledgeable about the menu as well as the property. Some interesting history to the place! This is great for a special occasion meal, probably more so than an everyday type of place. Would definitely recommend making a reservation! And if you are able to walk to the restaurant, would recommend to do that, too, as Savannah parking can be limited.
Great food, shrimp and grits a must.
Fried chicken , and black pepper gravy!!! Great service!!!!

Loved our time at the Olde Pink House Dinner was delicious and our server was knowledgeable and very attentive. The different rooms made the restaurant unique and a joy to look at.
Cool and classic vibe.
Excellent service. Food was pretty good - great crab soup and key lime pie - definitely a place you go for the atmosphere
So much fun!
Amazing food, great Savannah history linked to this house. Definitely a must to while in Savannah. Our waitress was amazing and had great information about the history of the house.
The Pink $hit House
This was the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. Had a reservation for my family of five at 8:30. We were on vacation and googled best restaurants in the area. Took an hour to get appetizers. The waiter kept coming back and blaming the kitchen, meanwhile other tables around us that had come in after us were receiving there apps. Manager came over and apologized. We were then at 1 1/2 hours waiting for food, it was 10:00 at night. I felt bad for my kids so we finally got up and left with no dinner. The tables around me saw us leave and we’re all very angry they had not received their dinners either. I had to get McDonalds on the way back to the hotel, and I haven’t eaten McDonalds in years but I had no other choice. If you can’t handle the business, don’t take the reservations!!!
Amazing service and food!
Such a great spot in a beautiful historic home. The food was exceptional as well as the service. Our server was professional and knowledgeable and the manager checked on us as well and made us feel very welcomed. Will definitely be back!
The food was delicious!
The food was delicious! I had the blackened grouper and the biscuits were out of this world! The Pink Lady drink was very good. The waitress was very attentive and gave a lot of history about the house and some personal ghost sightings she experienced.
Top of the list restaurant
We went on a whim to eat here and arrived before the 5pm queue to eat in the basement bar, which was amazing. Very friendly staff, amazing food, kid/teen friendly, stunning atmosphere! It’s a must-do.
Food too salty
Beautiful atmosphere but the food was way over salted. Also be sure to ask for “dressing on the side” if you order a salad.
Upscale ambience and food in a unique setting - outstanding service!
Make your reservations and come prepared for a good meal and outstanding service. Unique menu items and tastes! All the dining areas have historic charm and a story or two. Bring a sweater - the A/C works well in summer!
Snag a reservation, stat!
There is a reason reservations go very quickly here. Excellent meal and service. Our server told us she was new (only two weeks on the job) but you'd never know it! Acted like a seasoned pro. Great buttermilk biscuits brought to the table. Even though my friend and I both had reviewed the menu ahead of time and thought we knew what we wanted, we both ended up switching to the special (black grouper butterflied and stuffed with crab meat, panko bread crumbs, ricotta, onion, and bell pepper, pan seared and topped with a lemon beurre blanc sauce), which was superb. We cleared our plates. Finished with dessert - a praline "basket" with ice cream and mango puree, and a chocolate torte. We left utterly full and happy. What a lovely evening. The building itself is beautiful and worth exploring after your meal.
Our service was excellent.
Alice was our server. The biscuits were amazing. My husband ordered the scallop and shrimp pasta dish and I ordered the onion and sweet potato ravioli. The food was good, but the pleasant server made the evening. I also had their special Bloody Mary. It was ok, I would not spend the money on it again. I didn't taste any vodka, and it was supposed to have a chile flavored vodka.
Wow, The Olde Pink house did not disappoint.
The famous fried chicken was cooked to perfection and had generous portions. The service was great starting from the hostess, waitresses and servers. The decor inside and outside were interesting and worth photographing.
The Pink House brings out the very best.
A great evening where the friends present were matched by Eric’s outstanding service and the meals we all enjoyed. The grouper and crab special was so unique made so by the delicious apricot glaze. The Vidalia onion, mushrooms and sweet potato ravioli was flavorful creamy. Eric did a wonderful job outlining the details of the menu as well as accurately describing the taste of each dish. To make sure everything was perfect the manager stopped by and not only asked if all was well but held a nice conversation that enhanced the overall experience. One recommendation is that when you make reservations as to be placed in a small room. That will add to the intimacy of the overall experience.
Fine Dining With a Price
We had been here before and knew what to expect. Sort of. We had hoped to be seated in one of the quaint smaller rooms. Instead, we were seated in a huge ballroom type room. There were many tables and the room was way too loud. You could not carry on a conversation. They had no charged water (ran out). This was at 7:00 p.m. on a Monday. When one of the Five Managers, yes five - one for each area of the restaurant, stopped at our table, we advised him of the situation. The pork tendeloin was way too salty. The stuffed grouper (special) was excellent (as it should be for $52). The wait time for both taking our order and meal delivery were a bit longer than you would hope for. If we come again (doubtful), we will have to make a reservation for one of the smaller rooms.
Unparalleled experience
The ambience is amazing, the food and service is excellent and the house is so beautiful and historic. It is pricey, but for a memorable experience, the Olde Pink House is a can’t miss.
Consistently the best service and food in Savannah.
On a very busy St Patrick's Day Parade morning where streets were blocked off and crowds all over the historical area of Savannah, The Olde Pink House stood out and excelled as always. Server was excellent and took his time going over the history of the building as well as each special dish. Food came quickly and delicious.
This is probably the best food I have had in Savannah so
This is probably the best food I have had in Savannah so far, it isn't too hard to grab a reservation and even if they are busy you can try eating at the bar or outside area. The customer service is great they check up on you throughout your meal and pay attention to if you're enjoying your meal or not lol. The chicken is hands down the best fried chicken in Savannah it's juicy and crispy and flavorful and their ranch pairs well with it. Their soup is alright I'm not really into a sweet soup but it's good for what it is, taste pretty fresh. The inside of the restaurant is so pretty with a lot of decor and it feels old and new at the same time.
Overrated and not worth the hype.
Food is mediocre but I say the least. Three meals, all tastes, but nothing I cannot make at home. Disappointed. Too dark to see my food or the menu! Not worth the hype.
Amazing experience to do at least once! The restaurant is
Amazing experience to do at least once! The restaurant is in the oldest building in Savannah (I think server told us 230 years old). She gave us the whole history and we walked all the floors and rooms after lunch. Our server was VERY professional and I'm sure it was the most comprehensive menu presentation I've ever received. Linen table clothes, tables have a LOT of separation so felt very spacious (tables are in multiple rooms vs. one large one). The food was DELICIOUS. Know that the prices are high and the portions are small, so expect that in advance. But the ambiance, food and service were 100% on point.
Location, atmosphere, food, and service all deserving of 5
Location, atmosphere, food, and service all deserving of 5 stars. We dined at the bar downstairs and even this experience was nothing less than enjoyable. The full service bar and delightful bartenders secured this restaurant for a second visit. Reservations are a must! We arrived without a reservation, a few minutes after opening and there was already a line outside. The hostess made me aware of the bar area downstairs as an option rather than wait the walk-in time. On such a beautiful evening, waiting on a bench under a beautiful moss draped tree wouldn't be a bad idea but let's check out this bar area. Speakeasy vibes. Restaurant has multiple dining areas with different decor and a different story for each. The food was amazing. The drinks were outstanding. Fried green tomatoes and cornbread fried oysters were both perfect appetizers. My scallops, collard greens and sweet potatoes were divine! My friend enjoyed the fried chicken entree. We ordered dessert... why not?!? Key lime pie was "okay" and pecan pie (I didn't partake). I look forward to dining in one of the main dining rooms with hopes that the 5 star reviews based on bar dining experience sticks!!
The food was ok the service was ok.
They forgot one of our sides. Had to ask the waitress for our drinks the place is beautiful but I don't think I would go back.
A restaurant and hidden tourist attraction all in one
Delicious • Inviting • Historic My sister and I visited this restaurant for lunch during a visit to Savannah. Our waitress was full of energy and extremely knowledgeable to share of all the building’s history. I had the crab cakes, with fried green tomatoes and collard greens. I could have ate that all day. It was my favorite meal the entire time I was in Savannah. The pink lemonade was an added bonus by far. My sister devoured the fried shrimp and I cannot blame her, it looked amazing. The biggest highlight was them allowing us to venture and tour the building. We went downstairs where there is a lot of ghostly stories and history. It was overall an incredible experience and I highly recommend this on any trip to Savannah.
Perfect place for dinner on a visit to Savannah! The sweet
Perfect place for dinner on a visit to Savannah! The sweet potato was to die for. The ambiance and service were top notch.
Spectacular traditional Southern cuisine.
Gracious hostess was able to squeeze us in, as this is an extremely popular venue. Sean is a fabulous waiter, who gave us endless recommendations. Pan fried pork and classic fried chicken were superb. A must see in a city filled with wonderful choices!
A Savannah have to
Average food, our server was good… enjoyable meal. Loud room and the tavern downstairs was freezing. Drinks were ok but service lacking.
Sometimes people can make all the difference
My husband and I where at the pink house at the end of February. We had a good meal, wine and very nice atmosphere. The standout for us was our waiter Brandon. He was engaging and made some helpful suggestions. The restaurant would be smart to hang on to him.
"Tickled pink" by this experience :)
I'm usually a bit reluctant to go to "touristy" restaurants, but this was quintessential Savannah, through and through. Loved the ambiance and vibe. Food was delicious (though the menu signature cocktails offered were not). The service was excellent. Would highly recommend for a true low country food experience. Reservations well in advance (weeks if not months) are a must.
Such a fun place to dine
Atmosphere is great. We were served promptly. The appetizers are great. The food is on point. The servers are efficient and good. There was a lady that came around and serenaded our room which made the night.
Great service and vibe.
Showed up without a reservation knowing it might be tight but they found us two seats at the bar in the tavern downstairs. Ordered a cocktail based on the bartenders suggestion. Had a gin cocktail similar to a French 75 and my husband had the sweet lemonade cocktail but it was just ok. We are not used to such huge portions or as much friend found as they do in the south so shared the fried tomatoes and the pork chop that server recommended. For fried food it was done well. Came with collard greens which were fine. Macaroni was good. I felt like a Karen asking for the bread 3 times before I actually got it because I heard it was good. Note I tipped over 25% because she finally brought it to me. I think you really go here for the atmosphere, live music and general vibe plus the bourbon to end your evening. Really nice vibe downstairs and sitting at the bar was terrific. Pecan pie was superb!! That was the highlight.
A Savannah classic worth visiting
The old pink house has been on our list of restaurants to try for a few years. Perhaps with places that have such rave reviews sometimes things could be a little disappointing because you have such high hopes. My daughter got married in Savannah in February. We came a few days early from South Carolina and had made a reservation several weeks before. We were seated over 30 minutes late for our reservation as the people before us paid but were not leaving. I truly feel that in a situation such as this, there is a way to politely tell people that there is a party waiting for your table. Once we were seated, service was extremely polite, apologetic, and two appetizers were sent to our table. We were served fried green tomatoes and stuffed artichoke hearts. We all placed our drink orders. One of our party ordered a Heineken and it took a little bit of back-and-forth as it was a Heineken zero but they had no idea . The fried green tomatoes were very tasty, but the artichoke hearts were a bit bland. The server, while very informative and extremely polite, told us twice that we were getting biscuits and we had to finally ask for them. We got a history of the house, which we enjoyed. Our party had the crispy flounder, grilled chicken, salmon, pot pie, pork chop, shrimp and scallops with fettuccine, and pork tenderloin. Everyone enjoyed their entrée. We were pretty full at this point, but one of our party was celebrating a birthday so we did order one dessert which arrived with a candle and everyone tasted and thought it was delicious. Personally, I do think it is worth coming here as it is a beautiful house and the service staff was extremely professional and polite. There are just a couple of tweaks that could really put this place over the top.

Everything about this place is perfect! From the service & food to decor is awesome! Love the history & story about this house. When you are in Savannah, this is the place for dinner!
Be careful of what you order.
Love the ambiance. Expensive. Not everything on the menu is worthy of the price.
We ate at the bar.
Atmosphere was fun and friendly. Food was amazing. Drinks were unique.
Five star restaurant in Savannah.
Book well in advance ...always booked. We were able to get a lunch reservation with a few days notice. Agent was very accommodating. We waited very short time for our 1:30 reservation. We were seated upstairs in the previous master bedroom. Beautiful room. Our server, Lawon, rates as one of the best servers I've ever had the pleasure to have serve me. He was very friendly, always a smile and he was full of information and was very clear about what he would be doing and when he would be doing it. He constantly told us" I will come and take your drink order then I will give you time to look at the menu and enjoy your drink" etc. Amazing service. He made the experience 100% better. He also gave us the history of the house and encouraged us to visit all the rooms, telling us where we should go and what we should not miss. As for the menu, after enjoying the signature Pink Lady cocktail and Georgia beer, we ordered several items. Crab cakes, fried green tomatoes, mahi mahi sandwich, fried shrimp, gazpacho, salads. Everything was delicious, served hot and Lawin accommodated our requests for extra sauces etc. We had an anniversary to celebrate and berry sherbet was served along with a tall candle. Very nice. Highly recommended. It is expensive but worth the visit and ideal for special occasions.
Last visit, not going back
We went for our anniversary dinner. Had an early reservation. She said they just ran out of chicken pot pie but after I had ordered it. Not much to choose from on the menu for a main dish. Food was sub par for what we paid & usually when you make a reservation for your anniversary you get offered a free dessert or champagne. They didn’t offer anything. We will not be going back. Sad because it’s such a cool place but not worth the money you spend. Very disappointing food
Did not meet expectations
We were excited to get a reservation to Olde Pink House Restaurant but from the moment we arrived we were not impressed. They herd folks waiting for a table into a dark hallway while staff rushes by with trays. Our server was less than enthusiastic and it took 26 minutes for our drinks to arrive. The food looked better on the menu than on the table with the exception of the dessert. There are lots of fine restaurants in Savannah but Olde Pink House is no longer one of them in my view.
Will go back
We went for our daughter's birthday. All the staff were very friendly. The food was good with the exception of the mac and cheese. Beautiful dining rooms and loved the little courtyard.
