The restaurant looks fantastic and has a great location on
The restaurant looks fantastic and has a great location on the beach. The restaurant was busy and the patrons were very stylish so my expectations where high. The food service is designed to be quick with food hitting your table within minutes which is great if you are in a hurry. We ordered the Burrata which tasted pretty good - presentation needs some work as the burrata and tomatoes were crammed into a soup bowl which was odd as it didn't do the ingredients justice. I ordered the sea bass which was delivered on a small skillet with some grilled vegetables and a salsa. The fish lacked any flavor and could have done with a nice sauce. My wife ordered the steak which was okay. We spent $240 on 1 starter, kids pizza, fries, steak, sea bass and 4 drinks. Plain fries were $12 which I found hilarious. Overall, I don't think we'd eat here again but we'd probably come for a drink.
Be the first to ReplyMaitre d was a total ass.
Rude because we were not staying at the hotel. We wanted food and drinks at the bar. Told us we had to leave because even the bar seats were for hotel patrons with reservations only. Is this the same owner as the NYC ocean grill? Not cool.
Be the first to ReplyGorgeous place in a gorgeous hotel.
Service is awful. I've been sitting here for 30 mins we just were able to order our drinks. Table next to us have been waiting for their check for 30 mins. Would recommend skipping. Too many beautiful restaurants in miami.

Sat along the rail and it's a great spot to watch the people going by as well as the Ocean view. Had the wagyu beef carpaccio appetizer which was very good. They bring out sliced bread and have the EVOO and balsamic bottles on the table. It's a nice touch. Good cocktail selection and very extensive wine selection. They have a Sommelier on premiss. Had to ask for some melted butter for the lobster but our server brought it right away. I'm surprised it doesn't come with it because it makes lobster so much better. It was a grilled lobster cut in half. That and the spaghetti were great. My wife got the sea bass. We decided we had to go with seafood since we were at ocean grill but they have a nice selection of steaks, lamb chops etc. crème brûlée was very traditional, very well done. Overall no complaint about the food or service but for $375 before the extra tip it wasn't the greatest value but not crazy. I guess you're paying for the view and beautiful outdoor dining. It is pretty packed and they are dog friendly but sitting in high seats made it difficult to have a dog. Luckily our 5 pounder was content to hang out under the table. I would ask for a regular table next time. Need to make reservation ahead of time. I think they get booked up a lot of evenings.

We were on vacation and rode our rental bikes past this place and decided to give it a try. Warning, it's Expensive. $24 for a club sandwich, but really, what's not expensive down here?. But, service was top notch, beer was cold and the food was really good. Great view watching locals and vacationers walking and riding the bike path.

Visited with a reservation on Saturday, 2/4/23 @ 830PM and were seated on one of the tables closest to the hostess stand. Our waiter might as well just had given us the tablet for us to order everything ourselves since he was non existent and appeared bothered. The minute he approached our party, he asked one of us "Are you eating" that was our welcome. We began by ordering a bottle of champagne and had to look for him multiple times and ask for him to pour us while the bottle sat on the cooler stand next to us. When we ordered our appetizers and entrees, he had to get his attention and didn't say a word while we told him what we wanted, he just punched it into his tablet and walked away. It began to rain and being seated to close to the hostess stand we began to get wet and had to get his attention again to ask to move while he stood by one of the pillars staring aimlessly. We moved to a better table and had to carry our own plates to the new table. The same dirty utensils were moved from the old table to the new one. When the food arrived, it was bland and honestly not worth the experience or the value. We later had to seek him out again to order dessert and again he didn't speak one word, just punched it into his tablet and walked away. We later informed the manager because this experience was unreal. His name is "Said A." And only know that because we had to ask him for it and also saw it on the bill. If you are looking for good food and a pleasant experience stay away from this place.
Be the first to ReplyThe food and atmosphere were very good.
However, the service was not. David B our waiter was not responsive. We were served dinner and he never checked back. No one came to see if we wanted an other glass of wine (which we did). We waited 15 minutes for our plates to be cleared and an additional few minutes to get his attention. He then asked about dessert. Unfortunately, policy is a 20% tip!

If you're looking to drop in for a drink, STAY AWAY - My wife and I stumbled upon the ocean grill, and made our way to the bar to two open seats. There was some wannabe Italian looking guy working behind the bar, and some pregnant bartender that literally walked by us several times and did not acknowledge us once. Finally, some other gentleman stopped by and asked us for our drink orders. We ended up enjoying a couple of drinks, and finished up. It took us almost 20 minutes to flag down someone for a check. It's almost like the guy and the gal were intentionally ignoring us because they were talking to all other surrounding people/regulars... 2 drinks = $50 for sub par cocktails, and probably some of the worst and most pompous barkeeps in the Miami Beach area. They act like they make more money than the people dining in! Way to leave an extremely sour taste in your prospective new customers mouth. I don't remember the last time I left a bar upset... Ridiculous, and I promise you, we will NOT be back.
Be the first to ReplyTo come as a local customer doesn't work.
They reserve tables and half the bar for residents Unfortunately you can't get service or a table. It doesn't work for customers or staff. It should be first come first serve!!!Customer service needs to improve and make changes!!

This place is right on the beach and has all outdoor seating. The service was just OK but the food was excellent! The sea bass was cooked to perfection, and I really enjoyed the Caesar salad as well. We were able to get in for lunch around 1145 but it soon filled up so reservations are suggested.
Be the first to ReplyThe atmosphere, service and view were outstanding.
The Branzino and Caesar salad were incredible. The cheese pizza left a lot to be desired and the brussels sprouts were average. The wine list is lacking. There was 1 bottle of white wine under $90 and they were out of it.
Be the first to ReplyYou must eat here .
We stopped at sunset for drinks and apps. On the ocean . It was magical. Order strawberry mojito , Eggplant Parmesan , and Burrata. Our waiter Michele was perfection. It literally was the "best of" everything we drank & ate.
Be the first to ReplyWell this is a mixed review.
The place is certainly beautiful, and the food and service from the waiters were both quite good. So why do I not give a better rating. Because this sixstar establishment, at these prices, should anticipate rain, honor reservations , and at least alert patrons if they have exhausted their valet parking capacity (at 7:55, in Miami?). They did not, which made for a very unpleasant first half hour. One gentleman stepped up and seated us, and while we were dripped on during dinner, the risotto was delicious and the salmon carpaccio excellent. The wait staff was excellent and up to expectations.Worth another try, if not another Saturday night in season.

You should go here for the ambience, but don't expect mind blowing food. And on that note, don't expect fairly priced food. In fact the prices were completely random. The cocktails are only $16 (a fair price for an exclusive establishment) while all other beverages (coffee and wine etc) were almost precisely 30 percent upmarked. The apps were just set at around $20 for NO REASON. Someone dart board priced this menu and it's no bullseye. Perhaps this is what exactly what Miami dining is; restaurants that are exclusive based on price, but don't deliver on the quality or at least an attempt at the quality that type of upperclass dinner check should at least hint at. My waiter lacked the knowledge and food conversation I wanted to have and every wine I asked for it was like he was hearing of it for the first time. I asked him for the French Chardonnay and he asked me if I meant the Sancerre. For Wino's or anyone that's looked over the menu once... you know that's a no no. The ambience is perfect and the servers seem to really be attentive to adjusting the space heaters and general vibe. The music is incredibly tasteful and captures Miami. The placed stole from my wallet and tastebuds. I would come here again for a cocktail or two, but would starve during those cocktails, even in my drunken stupor because the food can't even pretend to compare to the prices that are next to it on the menu.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent service.
Food was great! I highly recommend truffle ravioli!! Superb ambiance. I would suggest to book a reservation before night so you'll have the full view of the sunset. A little expensive for what's it worth. Other than that. Great experience!!
Be the first to ReplySurprisingly unexciting dinner at the Sarai's Ocean Grill.
Walked in without a reservation to get drinks + apps at the bar and while the drinks were good the service was slow and the food unimpressive. We ordered the Yellowfin Tuna, Salmon Tartare, and Grilled Artichokes. My favorite dish was the Grilled Artichokes - which at nearly the same price for the two raw fish dishes was certainly a let down. We asked the server for soy sauce to add to the tuna which honestly made the dish considerably more tasty and enjoyable.
Be the first to Replyi was looking forward to going here for a quick lunch.
the restaurant was half empty. They told us they could not seat us because we didn't have a reservation. i then made a reservation on open table, they had plenty of openings. when i went back to show them my reservation they still refused to seat me. saying it would be a 30-40 minute wait.... really sad how bad the service and attitude of people is here. please go elsewhere.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing location.
Exactly what we were looking for. Mojito was the best we've had in a long time. Would have given 5 stars but service (AT THE BAR) was terrible. Planned on eating lunch but after almost an hour and 1 drink, bartender never acknowledged us again even though we were the only people there. Will try again later...probably.

Really neat outdoor (covered) dining on the beach at the Setai Hotel. The view is incredible. Little white lights on the ceiling ... the ambiance is perfection. The service is pretty good too. We loved the Greek Sampler and the best of everything was the pizza! It's super thin and the exact right amount of cheese. Great spot for lunch.
Be the first to ReplySimply amazing seafood restaurant right on the beach.
Definitely a well-heeled crowd enjoying some fine dining. Excellent seafood and delicious drinks. We will definitely be back.
