We had a great dinner at the Ivy Soho.
The place has a great atmosphere. The food and drinks are fantastic and the service was very good. I had the little gem salad, the Shepherd's pie and a Pink gin and tonic. Everything was wonderful and I would highly recommend.

Delicious food and a beautiful atmosphere for a night in London! Shepherd's Pie is a must and the Salted Caramel Espresso Martini's were to die for.

It's sceney but the food was actually solid. I tried:+ Mango colada+ Fish and chips + Shepherds pie+ Steak tartare + Baby gem lettuce The highlight was the fish and chips. Prob won't be back because there are way more interesting spots, but it served our needs. 3.5 stars.

I went by chance with friends without a reservation for lunch. Not a problem as we were greeted warmly with friendly smiles but above all, accommodating. The staff was impressively charming and professional. Stunning presentation of the food displayed for each and every one of my guests. The cottage pie was outstanding with a creative touch in its presentation. The white onion soup was delicious and highly recommended. The shrimp tempura was excellent. The overall service was to be commended. Personalized and the servers truly cared about our comfort and enjoyment of the food. The wine list is limited but sufficient. I highly recommend this restaurant when in London. I will return and that is a certainty.

Visiting from the US and this was one of the best spots that I visited I London. Food was absolutely delicious with a special nod to the steak tartare. I went traditional and got the fish and chips with mushy peas and I fell in love with mushy peas on that day. Who knew peas could be so delicious?! My dining partner had the cheese soufflé and they raved about it. Everything was delicious and the service was top notch. The ambiance brings an eclectic whimsical design and it felt like a throw back to the 1920s. Poster art and mirrors and lots of stunning glitz and glamour adorn the walls. I felt like F. Scott Fitzgerald and Zelda were going to walk through the door. It was a lovely atmosphere and a place that I would highly recommend and definitely revisit on my next trip across the pond.

5 stars ***Super slow service (we had to keep asking for water refills and the bill took about 20 minutes after we asked for it) but decently good food and a hip atmosphere and vibe. Would come here for convenience of location if in the area and the atmosphere more than the food. The PAN-FRIED SALMONFILLET (Asparagus spears, courgette ribbons, toasted pine nuts and a chive velouté) was fine but nothing memorable. The PRAWN COCKTAIL (Classic prawn cocktail with baby gem, avocado, cherry tomatoes and Marie Rose sauce) was beautiful but very heavy/rich and I couldn't take more than a couple of bites - better for sharing.

Super sad to have a bad experience! So reminiscent of my NYC soho days and I definitely caught the cool kids vibes here with the hubby until we waited 1.25 hours to place an order just to be told that they were out of lobster linguine. After waiting another 20 minutes to place our entree orders and to be served a 2nd glass of the bottle of champagne that we ordered, we left. Defeated, and sadly found dinner elsewhere.

I recently planned a celebratory gathering (a brunch on 21 November) for twenty-two family and friends here in London. I live in the U.S. and was arranging all this remotely. Here is the Great, the Good, and the Improvements Needed in my humble opinion. The Great -- Initial contact with The Ivy corporate events office was simple via email making selection of venue, menu, and private room (The Blake Room....absolutely smashingly lovely) quite easy. I booked the room, signed the contract, and paid the required deposit all within 1 day -- very professional and trouble-free. On the day of the event, I arrived 30 min early and everything was all ready to go. The on-site host, Kyri -- the epitome of service-mindedness and professionalism -- greeted me immediately and introduced me to the hired service, and noted to me that the chef and kitchen staff were already at work to prepare for my guests' arrival at 12:30...but several of my guests arrived 30-min early (!) and Kyri and the staff began to assist anyway...I was so grateful! Everything/everyone was in perfect form and ready, with the table fully set, printed menus and guest name cards, flowers, etc. I had 1 or 2 last-minute guest/menu changes and one very special allergy/diet accommodation, but Kyri and staff accommodated me brilliantly with no complaint or complication. From start to finish -- aperitifs to nibbles, through courses 1, 2, and 3, then coffee/tea service -- everything was brilliant. Not one hair out of place, so to speak, regarding service and room management. This was a very important event which I had been planning for months so I was very demanding and keeping a keen eye for any problems, and there were NONE. Kudos of the highest order to Kyri and the service team, honestly! The food was top-drawer. Nibbles (arancini, and olives), first course (buffalo mozzarella, pear, and artichoke), main (roast salmon) and desert (creme brulee) were utter perfection. The Good -- (was all "Great," see above!)Improvements Needed -- For future guests, two things to consider: (1) It took too long from signing the contract (10 July) to get the first "Function Sheet" from the central event planning office which was to outline the final details, costs, menu, and all the specific particulars that you will want/need to effectively plan and manage the event. It did not arrive until 10 Nov....four months wait and only 2 weeks before the event, despite my asking for this repeatedly since 10 July, so I was very nervous and anxious about the plans being quite last-minute, especially since I was arranging this from a foreign country. I would recommend that you agree a specific date to receive the Function Sheet and put the date in the contract.(2) The vegetarian dish (Grilled Halloumi) was a disappointment. Halloumi is not to everyone's liking (so that was my own fault for selecting it), but it was also not cooked well (overcooked and hard/crusty on the underside making it very dry and nearly impossible to cut with the dull dinner knife provided. I was served this dish myself (only 4 others out of 22 had this as well) and only consumed a bite or two of the Halloumi...although puree and side items on the dish were delicious. Perhaps the chef would consider replacing the Halloumi with grilled tofu or seitan in future menus as these may be more "meaty" or easier to cook? Either way, in hind-site I should have selected another vegetarian dish, and there were several to choose from, so I do blame myself mostly. Overall: Despite the Halloumi and the late Function Sheet, neither detracted from the overall event as all the other food, drink and service were impeccable, top-notch, and worthy of the event we were celebrating. I received numerous compliments from guests. I can confidently give The Ivy Soho the 5-star recommendation it deserves. I would gladly go back to The Ivy with no qualms or worries. Cheers!

Enjoyed the meal and though it was tasty. Had quite a few cocktails but felt they lacked alcohol ... also felt the waiting staff was quite rude about how they moved us on before the next reservation. It was blunt and could have been done more nicely

Four of us started out with drinks at the bar prior to dinner. The bar staff were clueless how to pour and make cocktails. I asked for a double shot of a particular gin shaken cold, nothing in it, and poured into a martini glass. Simple!!She measured a single shot, poured it into a wine glass, and attempted to put a slice of Lemon in it!! Also, was shaken too long and had watered down the gin to where it was just flavored water!!!The other 3 had gin and tonic. one meagre shot with about 8 ice cubes in the glass, and then topped with cheap tonic water (no Fever Tree)!!! The food? The food was "okay", but not enough desire to make you want to go back. The service? The service was "okay".The whole experience unfortunately was not good.

Luxurious and affordable spot for afternoon tea! Been here twice for afternoon tea; they let you order just one portion for two people, and it's enough to split if you're not too hungry. Comes with a fruit tart, chocolate pudding in a terra cotta pot, a creme brulee donut, and scones with jam, clotted cream, and strawberries for sweets. For savories, they have chicken, smoked salmon, and cucumber sandwiches. Everything is so delicious and comes with two pots of tea for around 18 pounds! We always have a wonderful time here and never have to make a reservation/wait in line. Our go-to spot!

If you don't know 'The Ivy' then walking in here is quite the luxury and spot. However, I do think the 'luxury' and exclusive element of The Ivy has worn off with the amount of these theyve now opened. It's nice, its like the others, the food is spot on. I had the fish and chip and its always the same. I got it with truffle chips. Delicious. Service was a bit poor, very slow, but a quick find of an eye and they run over. It's standard. Its nice. It's worth going for food as a nice sunday treat or something.
