I wish this review could be more favorable; however, based on our past two takeout experiences it just cannot. For out first takeout all the hot dishes were way too salty. Even my twenty year-old's immediate reaction to tasting her chicken al matone was 'this is very salty'. The watermelon salad was not cold, nor cool, since it was packed with all the hot dishes, hence the mint was also wilted. Likely more attention should have been taken with the packaging. And the polenta, although good, looked like pancake batter in it's rectangle shaped dish which was half-filed. Some garnish would have made it look more appetizing, or possibly using a small round dish. Our second takeout dinner, although not salty, had no flavor. And that was with every dish we ordered.
All considered my family and I feel the Cookery's takeout experience just gets 'lost in translation' so to speak. We realize life is different at the moment and we in the community are willing to be supportive of our local businesses but the Cookery's kitchen needs to be more consistent and mindful of their customers' 'takeout' experience.
