Not great
The room was not up to scratch. Cobwebs, dirty dressing table, stained carpets, toothpaste and hair in sink and to top it off brown stains on wall next to toilet. I am thankful I bought antibacterial wipes with me! For the price I expect better.

We stayed here as we were going to a memorial service. We had 2 rooms for 3 of us. Ours room was lovely - it had a bath and a shower. Bed was very comfy. Tea, coffee, biscuits and water. Breakfast was great. You pre order the night before but that was fine. We had yogurt and berries to start. There were cereals and danish pastries. Full English had black pudding so I was happy. I swapped my sausage for hubby’s black pudding. Nice bacon, whole tomato, lovely big mushroom and yummy scrambled egg. Nothing was too much trouble. Our daughter’s room she said was amazing. I couldn’t work out how to turn the radiator on but if we had been staying more than one night I’d have sorted it out. It’s very quaint - sloping floors but charming. We have lunch the day we arrived - great sandwiches. We found a parking space easily. Our arrival time was 1230 on a Thursday. Great place. We will be back.

Pleasant two night stay at friendly pub/hotel. Facilities in room were very good. We had excellent fresh cooked breakfasts and a good quality evening meal from a menu with a good choice. Service was good and we would recommend for a short stay.

Amazing place, really big inside. We stayed for our anniversary, stuff was superb! Room is big and modern, got bath and shower (separate), bed nice and cosy. We got an anniversary drinks for free, meal was delicious! Breakfast is nice,I got smashed avocado with feta plus bacon and my partner got full English, delicious! Highly recommend
Be the first to ReplyLovely Sunday lunch
I have refused to go here for many years as the last time the food was dreadful. To be fair since then it has changed hands and received a full refurbishment. However, bad experiences stick and I've only just returned after hearing many compliments. We had a Sunday lunch, gluten free diet well catered for ,food was delicious, well presented and tasty . Reasonable price too. I will be returning!

Beautiful oldy worldy bar and lounge. Fabulous food and excellent staff. Comfy bed with en suite modern walk in shower. Great position with free public parking in front. Perfect for Cotswold exploring. There is a lovely river walk from the door plus some classy gift shops!
Be the first to ReplyThe best wedding we could have imagined.
Tish organised our wedding for us with head chef Adrian at the food helm. The entire experience was excellent from start to finish, Tish being super organised, calm and with amazing attention to detail, and Adrian putting together the most amazing 3 course menu which was widely complimented by all of our guests. It was absolutely delicious and, obviously a bit biased, but I can’t remember a wedding with better food in my life! Tish and her team went above and beyond on the day, creating a beautiful dining room and atmosphere throughout. The service was impeccable and smooth until the very end. Thanks the whole team for the absolute best experience we could have had for our special night. It was beyond amazing.
Be the first to ReplyGood weekend break
We went on a mother and daughter weekend break The downstairs and food and staff were all lovely The bedroom was a little tired and could do with an extra mirror. The beds were comfortable and cozy. We would stay again. Thank you
Be the first to ReplyGreat break away
Just stayed here on a 4 day break, Excellent country village pub, very friendly staff, great large room, fantastically comfy bed, great shower, great food served in the bar and restaurant, good selection of local ales on the bar, lots of places to visit around Fairford. Would highly recommend staying here.
Be the first to ReplyOutstanding
One of those lovely, and unexpected, hidden gems conveniently situated in the Cotswolds. I stayed here some years ago and was badly disappointed but this was a totally different experience. On arrival, the staff were delightful and couldn't have been more welcoming (that's new!). The bedroom was large, had everything we needed and the bed was lovely and comfortable. However, what really stands out at The Bull is the quality of the food. It was outstanding and has to be the best restaurant meal I've had for a long time - and I am fussy. Great ambience and the staff were so cheerful and efficient. Well done. We will be back!
Be the first to ReplyRest assured great customer satisfaction .
I stayed at this hotel and had a few problems. But I want to commend the lady on reception and the management. For contacting. Me this morning to compensate me for a few issues I had whilst staying This is so refreshing that the lady Leslie on reception passed on my issues and that the management Contacted me this morning . So I can I say well done that they obviously pride themselves on very good customer satisfaction . Which is so refreshing as a lot of hotels would not have bothered . Thank you again for your brilliant customer service .
Be the first to ReplyThe Bull does not disappoint
Second visit but definitely won’t be our last. Wonderful surroundings, beautiful clean and well-equipped rooms, excellent food and just the nicest, friendliest staff you could wish for. And incredibly good value. Just simply the perfect place to stay when in the area.
Be the first to ReplyA great meal out for my Dad's 70th birthday
We took my father here to celebrate his 70th birthday in January and we were blown away by how good the food and service was. I've visited the pub before for drinks and I'm a big fan of the decor and general layout, but this was the first time eating here. The food was exceptional (all 3 courses) and the staff made us feel so welcome and relaxed. We can't wait to come back. I can't recommend this place highly enough and thanks so much to the staff for making my Dad's day so special.
Be the first to ReplyFamily evening out!
We booked for a family meal for ten and we weren’t disappointed! Although we had pre ordered our main meals, on arrival we decided we would like starters too and, despite being so many of us, we were beautifully accommodated. Our food arrived quite promptly and was well presented , well portioned and delicious. The service we received was excellent and should be commended. Everything on the menu was competitively and reasonably priced. We had a lovely evening and look forward to a return visit in the near future.
Be the first to ReplyTurned away
We love the bull probably don’t go as much as we should but have been waiting to be able to go for our normal Christmas drink while our dinner cooks at home as we have done for many years but today we were told unfortunately they weren’t allowing people to have drinks and all the tables were booked! So we were turned away. Such. Shame as the middle of the pub was empty and we were denied our Christmas tradition which since covid we were looking forward to seeing the familiar faces of people we know in our home town and our other friends who were on their way to join us but we had to message and tell them “the bull isn’t allowing people to have drinks and stand so we have been turned away

Booked this last minute after finding it in the 2021 Good Pub Guide. What a find! Quirky room with huge bathroom and a really good menu. Delicious dinner in the restaurant. Would absolutely recommend!

Had a 2 night stay here, absolutely fantastic, nothing I can criticise. Staff very friendly and helpful throughout, breakfast amazing and the evening meal we had there was brilliant. We will certainly return and thoroughly recommend.

Be the first to ReplyDelivered a great experience despite the RIAT crowds
We stayed here on the Friday night of the RIAT air show. Despite the crowds that had descended on Fairford village, and the The Bull in particular, the experience was fantastic. The staff were all extremely cheerful and helpful, the room was lovely, and so was the buffet-style chicken curry on the Friday night and breakfast on Saturday morning. .
Be the first to ReplyDelicious food and great service
We came for the Royal Air Tattoo and booked the a table restaurant for an evening meal; loved it so much we booked for the 2nd evening as well. The beetroot and goats cheese tortellini in creamy white wine sauce was so yummy, I had it the second night. The staff were efficient and friendly and always smiling. There were 6 or 7 choices for each course - any one of which I’ve could have chosen. We’ll done chef! Thank you staff!

Visited here a few weeks ago for a quick drink whilst out for a walk. Decided to bring the family back for Sunday lunch.. the food was absolutely gorgeous from starters right through to dessert. Full of flavour and beautifully presented. The pub it’s self has a great ambience and is in a lovely location perfect for all occasions.
Be the first to ReplyShabby chic and wonderful with outstanding dining and exceptional staff
A very nice original shabby chic pub hotel and restaurant, just as we expected,on arrival we had paid extra for the early check in and arrived as planed .within 5 mins we were being helped to our room . The whole building is higgledy-piggledy, on many levels with stairs up then a few stairs down and lots of places to sit and read or have a drink undisturbed.the whole place is shabby chic , but original looking , not the made up or made to look like it. The floor slopes in all directions with many creaking boards which all added to the original old feel .breakfast is more than adequate with a good choice and well presented whilst still hot. The dinner menu is really nice with a good choice and something for all tastes and is cooked perfectly.all of the dishes that we tried were just perfect, the T-bone steak was without doubt the best I’ve ever tasted, and one of my friends had the pork belly twice as it was just too good to miss .in addition to the good food the service was outstanding, some of the staff were real good characters and obviously enjoying there work but all were nice and friendly.we will definitely stay here again when we are in the area.
Be the first to ReplyLovely stay, a shame about next doors customers!
My husband and I came to stay at The Bull in Fairford recently and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The food was amazing and it had such a warm, friendly atmosphere. We had a lovely room on the ground floor which was spacious and welcoming. However, when waking up the next morning we weren’t quite expecting to see customers from next doors coffee shop enjoying their morning coffee outside our window. This made the room feel very overlooked which in turn made us feel uncomfortable and a little disappointed.
Be the first to ReplyGreat place to stay & hold a function
Stayed here to hold a team meeting & enjoy the ambience of the Bull/locality. All facilities provided for the meeting, private room, teas/coffees. big screen etc. Bedrooms excellent, clean and spotless. Comfortable beds & lovely pillows! great walk-in shower (room 19) & a good nights sleep. We had a light lunch and a decent dinner. Menu covers enough for most people. Nice bar area and well patronized by locals. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Parking out front can be a challenge & remember Wednesday market day until early pm, so no cars allowed out front! There is a larger car parking facility at the top of the road managed by local council & its free. But no over-night parking. Definitely a nice place to stay and enjoy the Bull. A definite yes to staying again.
