Dining at Tiffany's was a cool experience and fun to say we
Dining at Tiffany's was a cool experience and fun to say we did, but unless I was bringing someone here, I wouldn't go back. Our server was well-intentioned and kind but didn't check on us very often, brought out the wrong wine, and forgot to bring us the fries we ordered. We also were charged for still water ($10/bottle) when my friend asked for tap. I left still feeling hungry which is ridiculous when I spent nearly $70 on my quiche, wine, water, tip and tax. The quiche was good and my friends ordered the ham and cheese sandwiches and enjoyed them. The curated sets of items, like the tea party, seem to be a better deal, despite being expensive. I would only recommend this spot to someone who loves Tiffany's, otherwise, I feel like you can find a better tea party in Manhattan. Be sure to check out the art gallery on the 9th floor!

Such an amazing experience every time !! I either get a reservation or sit at the bar every time I come to NYC. Only reason I come back to the city. I wish they had one in Tampa FL. Being a Tiffany girl I wouldn't spend my time anywhere else but at the blue box cafe

Had to stay up until midnight to get this disappointing reservation. Waiters bussing tables-took forever to put in our order. Manager came over and I asked how much a bottle of rose they served by the glass would be. She said they only serve the bottles on the bottle list. Very disappointed Daniel Boulud.

I was super excited to try this place because I heard so much about the pastries and the breakfast. However, I was disappointed by the service and the quality of the food. Service: We were seated and waited about 10 minutes before someone asked if we wanted water. After we received water, we waited another 10 minutes for a menu. The menu was given but nothing was explained to us. We saw waiters explaining menus to tables around us and checking in on other tables. We then waited another 15 minutes before they took our order. Throughout the meal no one checked in on us so we had no water. We were poured water when we asked for the check. I expected more from the service especially since we were sitting right next to where they had a station where they were grabbing utensils and water for other tables. Food: I think the best part were the pastries. They had a great assortment of them and they tasted fresh. The sandwiches tasted stale and had little to no flavor. The tea was very good. I would go back just for the tea. Overall, we were disappointed with the experience but appreciated the decorations.
Be the first to ReplyWhat a cute and somewhat elegant restaurant.
I mean it is in Tiffanys! The decorations they have here with the Tiffanys boxes hanging is awesome. I would come here to try their teas and treats they have for their tea time menu. I came here for dinner with my friend for a girls night dinner. We both had a glass of champagne that was very good. She had a rose kind and I had a regular glass of it. For dinner my friend had the frittata and I had the avocado toast. Mine looked like a piece of art. Beautiful presentation. And my friend's dish had what I thought was a piece of cauliflower but really it was a cheese flower. They served us little rolls before our dinner came. We were too full for dessert but everything looked delicious. Our waitress was nice and took my food allergies very seriously which I was happy to see. The space is very bright and its not as big as I thought. The prices here are yes a bit high for the portions but then again I mean you are in one of the high end jewelry stores in Manhattan! So what do you expect. But do be aware that if you have a 6:30pm reservation you will possibly feel a bit rushed as the store itself closes at 7(one night) and all other nights at 8 so the restaurant needs to close then too. Overall, a nice experience and hope to be back one day again.

This was a true experience! One of the staff at the store told me to be prepared to eat somewhere else afterwards. However, I loved the food, and the Holly Golightly drink! The service was impeccable and the ambience stellar, true Truman Capote-ish! I felt like a swan if you know you know.
Be the first to ReplyWe went to dinner at the blue box.
For my daughter's birthday. As it was a Friday and it was her exact birthday. She opted to have dinner instead of breakfast. At the entrance we were greeted and asked if we were going to the cafe since it was already 6pm. We were directed to the elevators. The sales associates and security greeted us with a smiled and made us feel comfortable. The hostess was very nice and polite as we waited for an additional person. Repeatedly ask us if we wanted to sit as our table was prepare for us. I asked for coat check and she took our coats. As we sat our waiter was attentive informative and polite . He made us feel comfortable. All the staff were polite and courteous. From the bus boys to the food servers. We were treated like doted queens. We had amazing time. The food is exquisite as the flavors are not bland but not over powering. The deserts are even better. We regret not coming for breakfast. As he inform us of the different teas and pastries. Enticing my daughter and I. to come back for breakfast. When we had our pastries he remembered that I stated that it was my daughter's birthday so he arrange her desert with a candle and a chocolate label saying happy birthday. Making an overall a wonderful birthday evening.

Be the first to ReplyI took my fiancé to the Blue Box Cafe as a surprise.
I had heard her talk about the movie breakfast at Tiffany's before, and thought this might be a cool experience. I was right to say the least. Walking through the doors of the Tiffany & Co. store and seeing all of the beautiful jewelry sets the stage for the iconic breakfast experience. Once you actually get to the cafe and order you have multiple options, I personally went with the tea at Tiffany's which included a number of small sandwiches and little pastries as well as your choice of tea. Although the tea at Tiffany's isn't cheap, it was worth every penny in my opinion. Every sandwich, pastry, and cookie we tried was phenomenal and with a breakfast like this you're paying for the pampered experience as much as you are the actual food and tea. Everything was absolutely delicious, and the entire dining experience made me feel like a bougee king. If you're in NYC and have the money for it, I'd highly recommend! I hope I have a daughter one day because this might have to be our monthly tea party!

I recommend this place for your EXPERIENCE, but not for TASTE and your wallet. For being this place, I needed to make a reservation a MONTH ago only through the RESY app. Make sure to check the website daily or whenever you are available, with clicking in a 5 sec upon the reservation opens up. (If you don't, it would be all gone :/) we arrived timely but still had a 30min for entering the place. The hostess and servers were pleasant, but they were not engaged with expertise in the food as you may expect. Definitely, this place is WONDERFUL and will feel you pleasant and romantic. I liked much the peaceful and luxurious ambiance here. But, not for the food. The taste of chocolate on the top tier is just basic, excepting what it looked like. And, the finger sandwiches in the second-tier was not that fresh with a mushy feeling. The one that I satisfied was the deep taste of fruit jams for scones at the bottom. If you have never been to this restaurant in your life and have an upcoming anniversary, I would recommend feeling this place with valuable experience.TIP: They don't accept cash, so bring your credit card. And, you must order per person for a Tiffany Tea Set even if you don't want it.

We were lucky enough to book a Sunday reservation for our girls weekend trip... you need to be on the Resy website 14 days in advance at the strike of midnight and with super fast reflexes! My friend tried to book a Saturday reservation at midnight but made the mistake of texting me that times were available and in that moment all the times were gone. The following day, we both tried and I was about to book for a party of 3 at 3:30pm. **Note: Don't use the Resy mobile app as it will only let you book like days ahead. I think they have made changes since we made our reservations because the hostess told me that they were now booked for the next two months!Anyways, the only downside to our experience was that even though we arrived on time, we still had to wait another 15 minutes to be seated. Also, we had another friend decide to join our trip and I was not able to change our reservation from a party of 3 to 4. The hostess was very sweet and tried to be accommodating, but all the 4-top tables were taken and our reserved table only sat 3. Otherwise, the rest of the meal was awesome! Our waitress was very attentive and personable. One friend ordered lunch, which included choice of soup and sandwich. She enjoyed her meal and found the portions to be just right for a late lunch. My other friend and I ordered the Tiffany Tea, which included an assortment of scones, tea sandwiches, and mini desserts. Everything was really yummy! Our inner girly-girl loved the glitter butter and chocolate bar. My favorite was the scones, salmon sandwich, and chicken sandwich. Lastly, if you must get anything off the menu it has to be the Celebration Cake! Omg. I'm still dreaming about this cake. They brought it out and gave us time to take pictures and sent it back for be cut into servings. Any leftovers we

This place makes you feel like a $million bucks$! First off make a reservation for this place is like an act of Congress! I made this reservation months out and was checking their reservation site on the daily. I heard it's a must in NYC for a gala trip. The cafe is location the 4th floor of Tiffany's so of course we spent a lot of our time shopping there as well lol Their server was very nice and accommodating, answered all of our silly questions as this was our first time. We each order the lunch deal so that Co would various lobster salad, chicken club salad sandwich, etc... we didn't think that would be sufficient for the 3 of us so before our food came out we decided to order the double tower of goodies as well. First top tier was desserts/petite fours, 2nd tier they offered finger sandwiches and 3rd bottom tier were various scones. What we didn't know was that 3 tiered tower costs a pretty penny, over $100+ for that thing, ouch! Another table close by had ordered it so we just asked for it as well without looking at the price. Whatever, YOLO, right?!? Haha Anyhow, why the 3 stars you ask? It's nice to feel fancy but man we spent $400 for lunch and it was for sandwiches, salads and a bottle of bubbly. That may not be worth it for the food and come to think of it, maybe the experience as well. I think they make the illusion that this is hard to reserve and the lucky few get to experience it so people are willing to pay $60 for a small soup and salad combo. I'm glad we went as it was nice for us to experience together since this was my first time in NYC but it won't be on my places to visit/revisit when I go back to NYC.

Do yourself a favor and download the Resy app and keep your phone close to you for the next several days if you really really want to score this reservation. It took me 2 days to nab a spot, which I finally secured on the last evening of our trip at 10pm. Select a day and long range time frame, i.e. 10am-4pm. If visiting from out of town, work your plans around this reservation. Again, only if this on the bucket list.Night and day compared to Hello Kitty Cafe's High Tea because you have the option of ordering the tea service or pre fixe lunch, which is a game changer. After eating multiple heavy meals (only in NY!) husband and I were looking forward to a lighter meal in a beautiful setting. And where the heck else are you able to dine on Tiffany stemware, utensils, etc... in a robin egg blue themed room?? He had the poached salmon and I had the lobster salad. I enviously stared at his main course and was silly to have ordered 2 salad dishes. I was happy to share the desserts, which really are mainly one biters. The one special tip I would give is to take the stairwell after your meal. It's pretty incredible and kept in immaculate condition. Plus, you won't have to worry about stuffing yourself into the slow small elevators!

Breakfast at Tiffany's has always been a dream of any little girl who's a lover of diamonds or Audrey Hepburn. This cafe is full of the classic Tiffany robin blue color from their teacups to plates to the marble wall with an elegant Tiffany clock ingrained into it.The choice that I went with had to be the breakfast at Tiffany's with the salmon bagel. It comes with a croissant that has Nutella, compote and clotted cream on the side. Also accompanied with a beautiful assorted fruit bowl which mostly consists of melons but has fragrant edible flowers which pretties up the dish so much more. The salmon bagel comes with hearty slices of beefsteak tomatoes that are thinly sliced and add another flavour dimension to the bagel. The bread is mostly a thinly sliced round toast that gives a good crunch factor to the dish. The Tiffany tea embodies floral notes and is one to try for an avid tea drinker like me.My fellow diner partook in the afternoon tea menu which comes with the typical tea sandwiches, scones (one savory and one sweet) along with petit fours for dessert. One being which was a stunning birds nest with two blue robins "eggs".The service is quick, efficient and friendly. Overall this is an experience that every Tiffany fan should indulge in.
Be the first to ReplyAs a die-hard lover of everything Tiffany & Co.
, I had the time of my life at this restaurant having breakfast at Tiffany's!Like past review state, it is DIFFICULT to get a reservation for this cafe. I was unable to get a reservation via the Resy app 30 days prior to the date I wanted to go. I love Tiffany & Co. so much, so I decided to check out the store regardless. Trying my luck, I went to the host and he said there was an opening! Definitely try you're luck if you don't have a reservation! My mom and I ordered off of the prix fixe breakfast menu. My mom ordered the salmon bagel and coffee, while I ordered the avocado toast with salmon and Tiffany Blend tea. Our meal also came with fresh fruit and croissants. The salmon bagel was delicious! Just an FYI - it's a bagel crisp, not a soft bagel. The onions on the bagel were absolutely delicious. The avocado toast wasn't as tasty as I would expect, but it was still good. The salmon is amazing and it was worth paying extra for. The Tiffany Blend tea was also delicious. It was a little more floral-y than I expected, but still delicious. And the best part - everything was Tiffany blue in the restaurant. The ambiance and the beauty of the place really got me. I will definitely be coming back!

What an experience this was--but it wasn't easy to have, since online reservation open a month in advance at 9am eastern time each day and are filled within a few seconds. No, no exaggeration; a few seconds. After several failed attempts (I consider them training sessions) I managed to book a table for 4.30pm. There are prix fixe options for breakfast, lunch or high tea, with several menu selections to choose from under each of those. The atmosphere is elegant and upscale, as one would expect at Tiffany's; the Blue Box Cafe is inside the flagship store on 5th Avenue. The Avocado Toast is a breakfast option, and was very tasty in spite of the toast being overdone. It came with a mini croissant accompanied by butter, nutella and cherry marmalade, as well as a beautiful cup of fresh fruit. The high tea came with an assortment of mini sandwiches, cookies and other sweets; it was visually stunning and delicious. The tea selection itself was impressive, and included a Tiffany's signature blend. Everything is served in fine, elegant Tiffany's china (you can buy that at the store or online). Unfortunately a few days after our visit the store closed for extensive renovations, and we hope (can we demand? If so, we demand!) a similar, maybe larger Cafe will be incorporated in the new store.
Be the first to ReplyIt was truly a magical experience.
Had a date brunch with my husband. From the ambience, food, to our service everything was fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it. Everything was so fresh & tasty. The portion sizes are a bit small (bite size) yet filling. I would definitely return once they reopen end of 2021!

I'm so sad to write this review! :( I waited months to get a reservation and weeks to finally eat at the blue box cafe! While the experience of eating at the exclusive blue box cafe with Tiffany plates, mugs, etc was pretty cool, the food was a disappointment! My partner had the lobster salad and from the menu it seemed like it was a good option. However, there was no flavor to it lol. It looked like a lettuce head was cut in half and they placed lobster tail on top of it. I ordered the buttermilk waffle and it tasted like an expensive eggo lmao. If you decided to check out this cafe I would highly suggest skipping the meals and ordering the tea tower only! It was a great experience though. So be prepared to pay for the experience and not really enjoy the food lol.
