Texas Roadhouse Fairfield Reviews from The Last Year
Excellent service and the rib eye is delicious.
Came on a Saturday late afternoon and the wait was just about 10 mins.
When we got to the restaurant we had an hour wait.
That told me that the place had to be good. After we were seated we had the waiter come to our table to take our drink order. His name is Karl and he was the best waiter that my family has had in a long time. The look of the restaurant reminded me of a sports bar restaurant but nicer. It had a western look to it. So I guess you could say it literally made me feel like we were in Texas. For dinner I ordered the southern fried chicken with mashed potatoes the cream gravy over it and a house salad as my other side. The salad was delicious the cheddar cheese and croutons along with the homemade dressing just made it stand out from other dinner salads I've had. The main course was like a religious out of body experience for me. Every bite was so amazing. I think the cream gravy made it that much better. The bread they serve at the beginning of the meal was soft and the cinnamon butter made it that much better. We order to go a slice of apple pie with the caramel sauce that we had the next day and it was so delicious. Overall with the brilliant service, and the delicious dinner it was a 5 star experience. We will definitely go back.

The last two times that we visited this establishment they did not meet our expectations. The first time we visited we had ordered our food, it all came out cold and incorrectly made. They made up for it by comping half our bill. But Tonight was a different story. We were messaged to come to the hostess stand to be put at the next table. Got attitude from the hostesses for it and then we had to wait an additional 30 minutes just to get seated. Our waiter visited our table minimally in the two hours we were there but frequented the table behind us quite more often than ours because I think he personally knew them which is fine but treat everyone equal. When asked if we wanted boxes and he brought them to us he also asked how we were paying. We said card and he said use the kiosk and we never saw him again after that. What if I wanted a to go drink ? Or if we needed something else to go? We usually come here after a day at six flags since we don't have a Texas near us but I guess after these last few visits we'll just stick with cattleman's.

My husband and I visited Texas Roadhouse on Sunday when they were fairly busy. Our server Mychal made sure that we always had our drinks refilled, bread on our table and went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. I was a server in college and I know it's very hard to be attentive to every table during rush hour but Mychal made it look so easy! This restaurant is blessed to have servers like him who make customers feel warm & welcome. I hope he gets the recognition he deserves!
I never understood the seating right by the door.
You and your food get to sit there and marinate and everybody's farts. Even still being that close to the kitchen. It was difficult to get a refill. Wasn't offered one my whole time there. And also if you like your steak cooked medium rare make sure everybody at your table does as well. Because if one person orders there as well done everybody gets a steak well done.
One of my happy places in the bay area.
The food here is just so good for such huge portion. The vibe is fast pace with super friendly staff! My favorite is the combo with the rib eye and ribs. The chili is absolute fire and please dont skip the drinks (but please be of age). Overall a great place to eat with friends/family.

After spending the day at Dillon Beach we were hungry so I joined the waitlist while we were on the road home so we would t have to wait long for a table on a Saturday night. We were seated at our table within five minutes of our arrival. Our server came over right away with a basket of fresh bread and took our drink order. Like always Texas Roadhouse was a lively place full of happy families looking to share a yummy meal. My hubby really wanted some prime rib, but unfortunately they were already sold out so he decided to go with the 14 ounce ribeye steak with corn and chili and I enjoyed the smothered chicken with corn and mashed potatoes. Everything was absolutely delicious and we were stuffed! This wasn't our first time to Texas Roadhouse and it will definitely not be our last!
Solid food for the price.
Steaks were tender. Server did a very good job, quick and friendly. It gets busy after noon especially on weekends so come n earlier or add your name to the online waitlist.
ordered to go and asked for extra bread.
"no problem". I left a generous tip, which I normally wouldn't due to it being take out. I got my food and asked to confirm there was extra bread she says "yep it's in there". I get to my car and check the bag, there is only 4 pieces of bread. I head back to the pick up window and say there's only 4 pieces she says "look bro I'm just doing my job you don't get extra bread you have to pay for it". I said why not just tell me that instead of lying to my face? she was very rude and condescending. reminded me of the catch me outside girl. i used to love texas and ate there weekly but the food and service has gone downhill due to a bunch of teenagers running it. I could go on about the many times I've had issues there.

I enjoyed the med well prime rib with a side of Mac and rice! It was very tender and juicy! I ordered in the to go window and the service was fast and the cashier provided me some fresh bread rolls while I waited for my order! Overall the food was amazing
First, I want to start by saying we visit here a lot.
We had friends come from Kentucky and had dinner last night. Our reservation time was supposed to be 6:00. We did not get to the table until 7:15. Vanessa was our server. Steaks were absolutely delicious and sides. We ordered 2 ribs dinner. the ribs were so dried and couldn't even be cut with a knife. The baked potato was so cold. The cheese was cold. I have to say it wasn't the best meal we've had I would like to say kudos to the two young, sweet, hostesses who were at the counter.

We went there last night after a long pause because I had a 50.00 gift card. The steaks off the menu have always been thin so this time we decided to order premium from the window in the front. I got a 32 oz and husband got 23 oz rib eye bone in. They both looked great. Sat down and ordered appetizers and sides etc. Server was great it wasn't busy. We ordered garlic shrimp which we had before but when it came it was AWFUL we asked and she asked the owner what happened the RUDE owner apparently SCREAMED at her that's a new way using the cinnamon roll bread to serve the BUTTER DRENCHED SMALLER THAN USUAL SHRIMP ON. TASTED TERRIBLE! DON'T GET! My sides came out. Vegetables were totally raw and inedible and steak fries obviously frozen. When my premium steak came out it was medium but it was dry and so hard as dust. WOW WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT AND I DON'T THINK THE OWNER CARES AS LONG AS PEOPLE KEEP COMING TO THIS LOCATION TO DRINK
I always order outside at there window for order to go.
I noticed there portions aare getting smaller. Today 6-18-24 at approximately 7:15pm I arrived at the aabove location to pickup my order and was extremely disappointed in the tiny opieces of fried cat fish in my order. I know I'm NOT the only one complaining. You (I) pay for a service and expect NOT to be cheated for service ( portions of food).

the bread rolls are over hyped and not that great when we got our bread rolls they were hard and barely warm. I ordered the salmon it was salty. Me and my family were in a big party I understand that Father's Day is approaching but it took forever just to get utensils and drinks. Overall the food and service is mid and over hyped.

It was canned vegetables, Mac and cheese not good, as always buns are great Will not be going back, I live 3 blocks away
I know some people that had to take a California Board Exam
I know some people that had to take a California Board Exam here 21 years ago. Then I knew some out-of-state people out there that was supposed to renew their license when they briefly moved back and were suppose to retake an Exam here but never did. I don't really be in this city these days. I'm only going to be here once out of this year, and it's today. I slightly rather be in Vacaville, Suisun City, Vallejo, or Concord. I've been to Texas Roadhouse more than a few times, but today is my first time at this one. It's not a Steakhouse or a Diner, it's a Roadhouse. I love Cinnamon. The Bread Rolls and Cinnamon Butter remains undefeated. I'm here for a country dinner, the Country Fried Steak with cream gravy. It's all about that golden and crunchy batter, smothered in cream gravy. I finally got my Loaded Baked Potato, and some Buttered Corn. The Country Fried Steak was flavorful, crunchy, and seasoned well. It's somewhat better than a lot of Country Fried Steak I had at some Diners out there. I think I like the Buttered Corn, slightly more than the Baked Potato. Look, I actually got additional Bread Rolls and I'm giving this box away to some people I know after. I also had to get a Wild Strawberry Lemonade, I don't know what makes this strawberry wild but it sounded appealing. This could be a 4.4 stars on a good day, but I give this 4.3 stars.
Recently came here for lunch.
We picked the wrong day because everyone was having graduation celebration meals! Ordered the grilled shrimp appetizer which was ok. Shrimp was overcooked but still fine. I ordered a 12 ounce ribeye with shrimp. I ordered my steak medium rare but it came out medium instead. I didn't send it back because the restaurant was so busy! The steak was still pretty good though. The shrimp that came with my meal was the same type in the appetizer but the order that came with the steak was cooked much better. I have had better experiences here but I think the extreme crowds affected service. Still pretty good as far as chain steak restaurants go.
Enjoyed to evening
My wife's ribeye was cooked the way she likes, medium well. It was a good cut of steak. I order mine medium rare. It was cooked properly but the cut was poor. There was so much fat on (about 1/4 of the 16oz) it felt more like prime rib. They were flavorful and tasty. Our first waitress was average at best. The young lady that replaced her when she left was very good.
Good place for steaks.
Took a good friend out for dinner and had a real nice meal. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The place was packed, so service was a bit slow, but, that was okay with us, gave us plenty of time to talk. Food was well prepared, and very filling.
This place is packed at 3:30 on Sunday.
The wait was about half an hour as stated. The service is very good. The medium well sirloin was cooked properly and tastes good, the shrimp tastes good, the chili is good with a slight kick. The mashed potatoes could have been hotter.
Wow terrible service.
Was told wait would be 50 min when I got there. Hesitantly, I decided to wait hoping they were overestimating the time. Well after an hour I got a text saying to collect my party and go check in and wait. I checked in and after 30 more min of not being called, i checked in with the hostess, who couldn't find my name on the list anymore. Clearly, they forgot about Me. After an hour and forty min of waiting, we were finally at a table. 15 min rolled around before someone noticed we hadn't been helped yet, and were clearly forgotten about AGAIN! 25 min later we placed our order. Over an hour and 20 min after sitting down we STILL hadn't gotten our food. We finally walked out hungry, never having eaten anything but bread. I will never go back. I'm so offended and disheartened
This place is okay I'm giving them five stars because I come here a lot but on this day honestly the service was only two stars
The service was slow, I don't like the fact of how close everyone is when we're dining it's like they just pack people into the building and try to get as much money as they can with as many customers as I they can which I get what you don't even have enough room to move your hands and eat with your silverware because you might bump into your neighbors the steak is average I like the fact that you can pick your own steak out at the counter and I like the rolls of course but I didn't get me until after my mail came because I had to ask for them.. what made me give this place five stars is the management that day whoever that guy was he was hustling and he was making sure everyone in that place was checked on
Why Did I Wait So Long
I do not know why I have never been to a Texas Roadhouse. I really have never been in near one and that is a shame. So on a short trip we found ourselves next to the one in Fairfield and I was like let’s do it. Let’s try this bread. And yes this is by far the superior bread. The meal was so good. It really was tasty. I might move near a Texas Roadhouse. That is what a wonderful experience it was. I recommend it.
Worst Texas roadhousr ever
We were served with cold coffee! Cold prime ribs!? Terrible?!!! Very diffetent experience I had at Grand forks. Hot and tender.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.

I have a similar question, it seems like when money is refunded it doesnt go immediately what is the process of this since its essentially a debit card and not a credit card
