The best seasoned eggs
This is the best ramen shop in Philadelphia. It's always crowded because it's near the shopping arcade. The roads around there are narrow, there are a lot of people, and parking is not good, so I always go by train. It's an 8-minute walk from the station, so the train is convenient. If you don't make a reservation, you'll have to wait about 20 minutes. I ordered the fried chicken because I had to wait. The fried chicken was too good. The taste of the Terakawa ramen is delicious, and you should try it if you go. I always eat it, but the portions are so large that I can't always finish it all. On top of that, the seasoned eggs here are light and soft on the inside.

Went with a colleague one night, full restaurant long waiting list. We didn’t gave up and returned the following day. Shorter waiting list and we made it. It was worth it. Variety of soups to choose from and other dishes. We have chosen their favorite ramen and it was great. The other choice of soup was very different and also with good taste. Pictures are attached.

Really enjoyed our meal here, once we were able to be seated, they used a waiting list app a d we signed up. We were the first party on the list, yet the party of three that was on the list after us were allowed to sit before us. If you are going to have a “public” waitlist, might be better etiquette to respect all your guests. We had a great sampling of appetizers, pork buns, shrimp, and braised pork and sticky rice. I personally had the spicy ramen bowl, it was great! My wife had the signature ramen bowl. It was excellent as well. Fortunately the service after being seated was excellent.

Probably THE best Ramen place I've ever been too outside Japan! The only negative thing I'd say, is that the temperature check and mandated hand sanitizer to walk in is a bit much 3 years after the pandemic. Now, that being said, the food was absolutely spectacular! We started off with the steamed pork Belly buns, which were incredibly tasty! We then ordered their specialty Ramen, which was so flavorful and with fresh ingredients. It is BYOB, and service was very friendly!

Went for the ramen, loved everything. Like most ramen places it’s cozy inside, but that makes it all the more enjoyable. We had the steamed buns, the goyza, and ramen. The food and the service were amazing. Ramen is like chicken soup for me…it warms the soul and soothes. Will definitely be returning.

Glad we stopped here for dinner. Both my son and I love ramen and we try places wherever we visit. This is one of the better ones we’ve had. The Terakawa ramen soup base is the smoothest, silkiest I’ve ever had. The pork was soft, tender and well seasoned. The bowl was just enough, but not overly filling. There is a wait list you can punch in your name and number - and you can monitor the wait list line remotely. It’s pretty accurate in predicting the timing of when you should get back on site and when you’ll be seated. Definitely a well run operation.
Be the first to ReplyTiny Ramen Shop with Great Food
Terakawa Ramen has a wide variety of noodles to serve hungry patrons. Unfortunately it is very small inside although they had many cooks available to fill the brisk take out orders. Food is great but be prepared to wait.

The food and service was awesome. The wait at the peak of dinner time on a Friday for a party of 4 was 35 minutes. Had spicy ramen, and shared some appetizers- everything was fresh, prepared well, and delicious.

About 8 different types of ramen on the menu. The spicy ramen with a seafood broth has really good depth of flavor and some of the toppings are really good: the egg especially.
The chicken ramen had much less depth though it got better over time. The portions are solid but not huge esp for the $15 price. Restaurant is a little tightly packed but it works. Their COVID protocols were really safe and the service is attentive.
Best Ramen I’ve ever tasted!
Lives up to its reputation! I have never had ramen like this before. All the items on the menu look exceptional but the ramen is definitely the best!

Signature ramen is really good. Curry food is average. Karrage chicken is also good. Prices are normal but serving size is a bit small.

Expect a wait- they take your cell number and call you when your seat is ready. Delicious udon, spicy edamame, tempura shrimp. Prompt friendly service . They also have traditional katsu on rice dishes. The pork buns are absolutely delicious

It's my understanding there can be a bit of a wait during prime time dinner / weekends. So this place is perfect when you can pop in quickly and get a superb bowl of ramen.

Tried something new with travel team. Trip Advisor did not let us down. This Ramen was excellent and service was terrific. Manger asked us to try spicy edamame which was amazing. I had the Terakawa Special which was awesome. Should give this place a try.

The whole experience was fantastic. The staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. I’m chronically indecisive and asked our server for recommendations. She gave us spot on explanations of the differences in broth and noodles. We ordered the tan tan- one chicken and one pork- and the spicy ramen. All were excellent - the broth was full and flavorful and the noodles perfectly chewy. Our drinks were refreshed regularly and our food packed well for the ride home. I can’t wait to visit Philly and Terakawa again!

Who knew that you could get rockin ramen in Philly? The vibe was fun, the service amazing, and the ramen was incredible!
Be the first to ReplyExcellent mayu ramen
We ordered the mayu ramen (with black garlic sauce). Everything was very good. Straight noodles that fit well with the tonkotsu broth. The egg was very good, still gooey. There were some red ginger slices in the broth, Hakata-style, and you can add grounded sesame or other spices if you want. It's very busy.
