Really bomb food and everything but make sure you check your order before you leave!!! They ALWAYS forget something. I have experienced this 3 times already
Be the first to ReplyFriends have been raving about this place, so we finally
Friends have been raving about this place, so we finally found time to go. I understand that eating out is no longer inexpensive, but when it comes to tacos that I can finish in 2-3 bites, $3-$3.50 for one taco is expensive. Now if you want to venture from a basic taco to their quesataco, sope, tostada, mulita, quesadilla, or burritos, the price can go up quickly. If you're adventurous and you like exotic meats like tripa or lengua, then add another $.50 cents. For one person, you could be up to $20.00 or more and not including something to wash it down with. The flavor or the proteins were great, however the tripa was a bit salty. The corn tortillas were all homemade so that was a plus. The other downfall I felt was, it is only outdoor seating if you're lucky to get one of the three tables. Luckily we had wet wipes, because you need to clean it yourself. I would comeback if I was in the neighborhood and I was hungry. There are a lot of taqueria's around so to make a trip out of it just to come here, probably unlikely.

Be the first to ReplyI've been wanting to go here for like 3 years and finally
I've been wanting to go here for like 3 years and finally was nearby with time to go. I live in LA proper with no shortage of great tacos and I have to say I would still consider Don Goyo a "destination taco". We got the pastor quesatacos with everything and both of us thought they were outstanding. The salsas were great as well. Haven't tried the rest of the menu but honestly I wouldn't bother to since I think this is their star and it was a zero edits situation. As well, the value is exceptional at $3.25 a taco. Loved it!
Be the first to ReplyGood el pastor and salsa but.
.... the nachos and the loaded fries are drowning in fake cheese sauce which ruins almost every bite. Every single bite's flavor is dominated by 7-eleven style nacho cheese sauce. They also come with grated white cheese which is delicious and goes so much better with the other toppings. I truly do not understand why the cheep and overpowering cheese needed to be included? Like did they just accidentally order the wrong cheese and said screw it? Like why so much? Literally every bite, without fail, fake nacho cheese sauce.
Be the first to ReplyGood tacos! Everything taste fresh including the tortillas.
It's a little pricey but it's worth every dollar
Be the first to ReplyI had some time to kill while getting my windows tinted
I had some time to kill while getting my windows tinted next door (check out Direct Tint - best in the business). This is like a little taco shop/stand right out of Tijuana, Mexico. The food is all delicious, they specialize in Al Pastor anything. My only gripe, the physical location is a bit rundown, which is part of the authentic charm I suppose. Mismatched paint and stucco, along with a general disrepair. UNFORTUNATELY, I had to watch a cockroach battle a spiderweb while eating my quesadilla, not the imagery that makes you hungry. That is also a testament to the food, because it didn't stop me from grinding. LOL. That said, it was gross. Had my wife been with me, she would have immediately thrown her food away, or suddenly been not hungry. I had the Al Pastor quesadilla which was excellent and really filling, total cost was around, $8.50. I like that they also have an old-school push cart with additional toppings that really help bring out the flavor: onions, cilantro, pico de gallo, radish, limes, etc. Pro tip: they prefer cash, you get a 4% discount, OR, you pay a 4% premium if you use a credit card, cash is king.
Be the first to ReplyIt's my first time here at this taco shop.
. I found it on Instagram wanted to try it because the food looked amazing..but unless you like waiting an hour or more for 3 tacos..I probably would order ahead of time..alot people that ordered just left Even phone orders were delayed..i think people would be happier if customers were out faster...

The al pastor is good but the chicarron and asada kinda sucked the asada is very charred which always throws of the flavor I've had a lot of tacos so maybe im just hard too please

Not only is the food excellent, but the customer service is excellent as well. They take care of their customers. The staff are friendly. I love this place. The Carne Asada burritos are so good. The meat is so flavorful. I definitely recommend this place for some delicious Mexican food.

... These tacos are whatever. They advertise Tijuana style tacos but they are a little better than El Torito tacos. I would say the best thing about this place is the service, tortillas and the salsa. They attended us right away and got our order out all within 10 minutes. I ordered tacos Al pastor and the meat was both dry and flavorless, unfortunately won't be coming back.
Be the first to ReplyHighly understaffed.
Horrible customer service, take more time hiring people who actually want to be there... food was okay but not going back simply because it's such a bad vibe.
Be the first to ReplyThis place has been open and closed forever was doing good
This place has been open and closed forever was doing good for a bit seemed like they sold and new owners bought but don't care much about the customers service needs to enjoy the food. I went on a rainy day ordered a tongue burrito was cool but in getting salsa the salsa bar was nasty all full of people's germs. I asked the employees and someone tomboy looking skater wannabe was so rude and told me they were going to refill in a bit. I waited like 10 min asked nicely again if I can have some guacamole instead of the salsa because they weren't bringing any out in time. She responded rudely and said we charge for that. I figured I just bought a 15 dollar tongue burrito that had barely or nothing in my burrito. I would not recommend this place at all.

The handmade tortillas here smack! Would be nice if there was more seating as it was really busy and nowhere to sit.
Be the first to ReplyI come here often and the burritos are usually delicious
I come here often and the burritos are usually delicious big and full of meat but not today my burrito didn't have no meat in it and it was small I was disappointed because Tacos Don Goyo is my favorite spot to grab a asada burrito I'll give them another chance hopefully they will hook my food up next time like they normally do
Be the first to ReplyThe tacos right here are so good!! And they have flavor.
Its always crowded big line so if you doing pick up ordered ahead time. The only bad thing is parking is hard to find.
Be the first to ReplySo very sorry to say, but the Tripa's burrito made me sick.
I really wanted a great review for this place, but I cannot lie. GreenVomitFaceEmoji :~€

..Service was a 1 out of 5Food (Carnitas burrito) was a 3As a stood at the stand waiting...I was ignored for minutes. A customer told me to say something so I did. The woman behind the register didn't look pleased. I ordered a carnitas burrito with no onions and I went home with a burrito without guacamole and a sprinkle of cilantro on one end. Sad for what I paid which was $9 plus tax for a small burrito without the cilantro and guacamole!

Tried their asada taco, chicharron taco, al pastor taco, quesadilla, nacho chips, and horchata. 1/3 of the tacos were pretty bomb but the other 2 were just "meh". Quesadilla was just ok, could have used more cheese. Their chips was our favorite. It was warm, fresh and seasoned. The employees were very friendly but we waited about 15 minutes outside for our food which is too long of a wait, in my opinion.
Be the first to ReplyLet me just say they are a solid option for tacos.
This is my second visit, but first was near start of pandemic and service was off, so I'll give them a pass. This time the food was better, but service was still off. My GF ordered tacos without onions and they came with onions. No biggie if they just fixed it, but they made it our issue asking questions like why we didn't look at receipt to confirm, etc. they even asked if this was our first time there, as if there was a process we should be aware of. Is this our version of the "soup nazi" from Seinfeld :)? "No tacos for you"! :)Could we have checked? Sure, but the person who took our order repeated it back to us to be sure, cause I order mine with everything and hers were w/o onions, so she made it clear to put them on different plates so they don't get mixed up. Anyway, they should work on that. Food wise, the stand outs were the homemade tortillas, Carne asada and red salsa. Everything else, like carnitas, buche, Al pastor, guac and green salsa were good, not great. Carne asada had the smoky flavors from being grilled over mesquite (or whatever wood/coals) and it makes a difference. Red salsa was spicy and unique. Homemade tortillas, what can I say. The extra effort pats off. I have to go out of my way to get here, so it will be on my list of taco places, but won't go out of my way mostly because the service. If I'm going to go out of my way, LA has better versions. Give them a try yourself, but I don't need attitude with my food. Would have been fine if they just replaced the tacos. Don't even need a apology. It happens. Just don't need the attitude.
