Dinner
Wine price shocked me, go with the Chinese wine if you are open minded. It paired really well with the herbal duck that I ordered. The food, service and everything was above average. I am pleasantly surprised and yet sad to hear this restaurant will be closed soon.
Be the first to ReplyImpeccable Service you can expect
Visited with my family over lunch on a Sunday and we were served in a modern private room which was beautifully decorated, despite behind closed doors, service to refill tea, clearing of plates was on point and there were hardly any instances when we need to go out to find help. The team from House of Wei, inclusive of Jason, Fio and Evan were outstanding and have served us with great hospitality. Our dishes were presented with modern interpretation of local dishes, each and every one of them plated exclusively. It's clear that the restaurant not only wants to achieve tasteful to the palette but also beautiful visually. This is a chanced encounter with the restaurant, and I will definitely will be back. Thank you Jason for making arrangements and allowing the luncheon to be a successful one.
Be the first to ReplyA satisfying dinner set for two… hope the set changes next time
It was a very satisfying dinner. We ordered the set for two (there is only ONE such set for two). Instead of the prime rib we got a soup of the day (unannounced - which is bad practice!), The crispy prawn was really innovative - the mayonnaise came with a drizzle of pomelo and mango. It’s very refreshing and very delicious! The Chinese spinach with abalone and sea cucumber were good. Fried rice was very good with strong wok hei. Dessert of lychee sorbet with aloe Vera came in a most generous potion. The environment can get pretty noisy when full of customers, like this evening. Service may be a tad tardy. Today I’m giving five stars when I should give four (the change in menu without informing us, and the limited range of sets). I may return to see if it truly deserves that the next time.
Be the first to ReplyWaitress forgot our orders and we waited for almost an hour for nothing.
Made a reservation for 4pax at 8pm. We arrived on time and placed our order at around 8.15pm. At around 8.57pm, the waitress came to our table and asked for our orders again as she had not sent it to the kitchen. This is disappointing.

We went to celebrate a birthday. Restaurant was new but relatively busy. The asparagus was fresh and delicious. Lotus leaf steamed chicken was a bit tough though. Loved the prawns with mango and pomelo - interesting! Ee fu noodles average. Nice chocolate cake complimentary with Amex. Excellent service by Mr Vincent Teh and team.

We recently visited House of Wei with friends and wanted to impress them with Sauna Prawns however on this visit the Restaurant was quite full but was not easy to getattention from any staffs. They all seem busy and we waited close to an hour for food.

Be the first to ReplyGreat dinning experience
We decided to taste the newly revamped House of wei in Fairmont hotel, we were very delighted with a very warm greeting at the Entrance by the restaurant staff -Alan, we were ushered to a very nice table where we have the view of Marina Bay - witnessed the sunset with our wine , served by restaurant manager, Fion and Janet, they were meticulous, professional and attentive in serving our dinning needs. We ordered sauna prawn - to our surprise it came in a trolley with hot stones and was served & live cooking by Steven - with his professional culinary skill ,he cooked up a Strom , we witnessed the live prawns cooked with the hot stone with full steam created by Steven pouring the herbal soup in to the pot with the live prawn- really a show performance by Steven . We were so impressed by the food, service and more importantly the well trained staff of the restaurant- With their excellent service, it enhance our dinning experience & created a memorable day with House of wei. Strongly recommended for celebration & hosting to impressed friends . Compliments to the Chef Mok, Fion, Janet, Evan,Steven,Alan & staff in the kitchen -cheers!

Came here to try their signature dishes (Qilin style red grouper fillet and chef’s mok lion’s head).

The restaurant was closed for quite a while in 2021 and re-surfaced late 2021 and with name changed to House Of Wei.
The interior remained practically unchanged . After dinner , all three of us concurred that the food surely had elevated .
We ordered from the Lunar New Year 's a la carte menu :
Hakka style Pork Trotter Carpaccio/ Drunken Chicken/ BBQ Twin Platters( Char Siew & Roasted Pork)
Hot & Sour Seafood Soup/ Crispy Prawn /Home made Tofu & Dessert .
The first two dishes were appetisers and were savoury & tasty accompanied by even tastier dipping sauces !
However the Twin BBQ Platter didn't find favour from us especially the Char Siew was almost 80% fatty !
The Soup / Crispy Prawn/Tofu were certainly Par Excellence !!!
Last but not least , a very delicious Lunar New Year NIAN KAO & A chocolate cake landed on our table with compliments to our BD celebrate . A Crown Jewel indeed to cap this lovely evening .
Kudos to Manager Ms Fion for her very professional & pleasing service assisted by the efficient & helpful Ms Shao Hin & Evan .
Great Food
This is our first time visiting this restaurant under a new name. The deco remains somewhat similar from the previous place (Szechuan Court).
We had 3 items for lunch today- hot and sour soup, mok lion meat ball and the sweet n sour chicken. Over all, the food was tasty and delicious. The flavors were distinct for each of the dish. Did not manage to try the other signature dishes as the above dishes was quite a sizeable amount for 2 people.
Service was excellent helmed by Fiona Foo and would return for more of the delicious food.
Mother's day Dinner
Great service and I must comment wonderful recommendations of food from Mr Vincent. Will come again because of great service
Be the first to ReplyGood dining experience
Had a family dinner with 6 people. Great food - nice pork ribs and melon soup, lemongrass drop dessert, tea roasted duck with crepe wrap, wasabi prawns.
Excellent service - esp from Jason. He was professional, patient esp since my table had many elderly members.
We had a great experience!
High quality food
Each of their dishes are served with excellence. I had their Huang Men crabmeat soup and it exquisite. Also must try their signature jasmine tea smoked duck. Service is also top class.
Be the first to ReplyGood service, nice ambience and tasty food
I tried Jasmine Tea Roasted Duck, Dried hor fun and Smokey Prawn roll from Szechuan Court. Their food are generally less oily, salty and sweet. Certainly suitable for those who are health-concious. Even so, the food are well cooked and presented really prettily.
One thing to note, is their food are priced on the higher side.
However, their service crew is superb. In particular, Jason is very efficient and proactive e.g. giving us extra bowls or spoons along the way as we are sharing noodles and deserts. In other words, the diners' needs are well taken care of.
Awesome Dinner
Few day ago, just dined in with wife for dinner, it was very tasty, you're done a great job. Especially Sichuan Spicy chicken & Bei Feng Tang Deep fried Fish filllet its delicious, numbing, spice...yummy 😘😘😘
Wow, we had a great time,
Definitely, we come again. Thank you.
