Sushi Sho Stockholm Reviews from The Last Year
We were so excited for this omakase and I really wanted to
We were so excited for this omakase and I really wanted to love it but just can't give it a high rating. Maybe I expected too much for an omakase in Scandinavia. I did really like how quick the meal was - all over and done with in essentially 90 minutes. Also appreciated the no-fuss casual setting, and the chefs all had humor. Now getting to the food - the courses were very small and most were just okay. We left not full which to me is an issue for a Michelin rated restaurant. The skill sets were also not entirely there for a supposed top notch sushi restaurant. Several of our sushi pieces had rice falling apart from the mold, which is a huge no no. If you are very versed in sushi would not recommend this. However, if you are new to a mikae, this could be a good experience.
Saw mixed reviews for this place but decided to try it
Saw mixed reviews for this place but decided to try it anyway since it had a Michelin Star but was definitely disappointed. Should have trusted the reviews. The atmosphere was relaxed but the seats were pretty uncomfortable, and it got pretty stuffy. The rice was grainy and seasoned weird, and definitely took away from the fish. The fish was nothing to write home about, not bad but I expected more from an omakase place. I did like the soy egg tuna dish, daikon and octopus tho, and the service was good, very quick at refilling the water. Would probably not recommend and honestly no idea how they have a Michelin star.
I contemplated a long time on whether or not to write this
I contemplated a long time on whether or not to write this review in fear or karmic vengeance of the kind Chefs of Sushi Sho and the even more kind people of Sweden. The Eater's Guide and Michelin-backed "Classic Japanese" Sushi Sho does not serve sushi. The rice has so much vinegar, it overpowers the fish. The fish is slightly slimy and under-marinated or under-treated with a soulless aftertaste. The "white tiled walls" are lined with brown gunk. There is a mix-and-match use of Japanese ingredients and techniques like ponzu and Faroe salmon shabu-shabu. The closest analogy I have of the experience is having your Swedish best friend from college offer to prepare sushi for you after learning about it while studying abroad in Tokyo for one summer. The $100 per-person price point for local sea bass, salmon, scallops, and other white fish is robbery. The only Japanese fish they offered was Bluefin, which they charge an extra $60 at the end of the courses for an Otoro medley. There is also too much down time between the small-portion courses, which, in addition to numbing your tastebuds, is why they probably recommend you pair alcohol with the meal. As a sushi-enthusiast who has eaten at Kyūbey in Ginza, I find this Michelin-star-supported attempt at the fine art of sushi offensive. Digging deeper, I would say that this experience points to the European inability to empathize with cultural perspectives outside their own. Sushi is about discipline, the devotion one's life to a trade, with no small sense of precision and grace. Sushi Sho ignores all of these attributes. I am left hungry with a bad taste in my mouth after leaving Scandinavia. A person who enjoys Sushi Sho lacks a fundamental understanding and appreciation of sushi. I hope the next person reading this will move on to the next option.
Again awesome 🔨
I was also positively surprised during today's visit: excellence in the quality of the food, excellence in handling: in short, the best sushi/sashimi outside of Japan! Needless to say, you have to make a reservation in good time 😎😉
Kyoto Syndrome
Great service and fantastic food. Would highly recommend visiting. Nice to go there solo because you are seated together and can strike up a conversation with locals :)
A scam. Quite literally
8 minutes ago NEW As a half japanese, this is a disgrace to our food culture. Everything from the rice to the fish, is a joke quite frankly. Westerners may appreciate this. For people understanding japanese food, avoid at all costs
Don't bother!
We, like so many came to the restaurant with so much anticipation. Since it is the MUST visit restaurant in Stockholm, we had high hope. Frankly how disappointed it was. A QUASI Japanese at best. Perhaps it was great in its glorious days like 5 years ago but at present it is falling short in all front eg. the fish, the sushi rice and the most important of all the balance in its food. I do not claim to be a foodie but I have traveled to Japan many time, and had eaten Japanese all over the world, so let's say I know the different between premium products and the claim- to- be. What we had were salmon and local fish. Should the fish had been fresh or with balance in taste then it would have been fine. But the fact that I needed to ask for more salt and wasabi, it was disappointing. It was not what I expected in a restaurant that is charging me 1195 kr each. The fish tasted as if it spent too long in the freezer, and the sushi rice had too much vinegar. They were trying to upsell me on the Tuna which is a rip- off as for the price I was charged it should have been included to begin with. Anyway should the whole experience been good, we would have been more than happy with whatever they were trying to upsell us but since it was abysmal, it is best to spend the rest of the night elsewhere.
An unconventional Michelin star to say the least for a memorable experience
Witness to the revival of the little red book, you will certainly not go to dine there for the setting but for the delicious cuisine and the impeccable quality of service. Not that this setting is unpleasant: most of the customers (12), with the exception of 4 of them placed on a separate table, take their places on standing tables facing the counter where the dishes are prepared Minute. It's just extraordinarily common. The plate? An appetizer, three starters, 6 or 7 sushis (bluefin tuna, sea bream, scallops, skate wing, salmon...) followed one another before punctuating the meal with Miso broth (the only one ever drunk with pleasure !). We didn't have room for the extra bite...Very nice wine list. We opted for a white Burgundy (by the glass) and a sake (a discovery!). We left delighted. A truly memorable experience. Remember to book 2 months in advance...
Lovely taste experience
A real taste experience with friendly staff and excellent service. It takes sushi to other levels and gives us a taste for new flavors
Do you see the star falling? Don't go here!
Hello, me and my wife visited Sushi Sho based on the Michelin star the restaurant has been awarded. Then expectations were lowered quite sharply based on previous guests' posts. Still wanted to visit with an open mind, but despite this, the visit was under all criticism. We could write as much as we want, but the strongest thing is that we both feel cheated of the money (3,600 SEK for two people) without anything tasting good! We left feeling taken advantage of and hungry. That this restaurant continues to be fully booked and also gets to keep its star is completely unimaginable to us! There are so many other restaurants without a star that are a thousand times better than this and for a fraction of the money. We are happy to pay for good food and the experience that comes with it but not a single penny should be spent here! Even if we were invited we would not go back! Our only advice to you is not to visit this restaurant!
Go here.
Everything is right here. Very cozy sitting at the bar. Small place, surprisingly run by non-Japanese, but by guys who love sushi and don't exude the deadly seriousness that such places are sometimes associated with. I haven't had better sushi, not even in Tokyo, but yes, they have a star. Well deserved. And so cozy and casual, informal. And then everything melts in your tongue. Yum.
Not to be recommended
No. Here the expectations were high but were dashed quite quickly. During the journey, you are offered to pay extra to get another dish - feels petty. The service was not top notch either. Feels a bit like they gave up.
Top Sushi 🍣 outside of Japan 🇯🇵
Top quality of the dishes, excellent drinks to pair with, the very sushi bar ambience and great service 🤩 make sure to book your seat in advance….!

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!
Worked perfectly
Was a little nervous at first but was pleased to see that the booking went through flawlessly.
Highly recommended.
Success on Short Notice
Was able to snag an indoor table at Don Angie through an absolutely seamless worry-free process.
Worked perfectly, thank you!
This is a crazy holiday season in NYC and I was very pleasantly surprised to see that AppointmentTrader works! Will be using again!

Quick table in Miami
I didn’t have my hopes high as it was a party of 4. In 24 hours I had a carbone reservation available! I was very happy as my family really wanted to come here
Prime time, great meal

Worked perfectly to get into Carbone. So delighted
perfect
Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate
Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

I will give you 50% of ALL of my PROFITS if you teach me how to make profits?
LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.
Appointment
Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
