Not sure what to expect here.
Ate ten pieces of sushi and can't remember a single bite? Went to get another meal elsewhere as I was very hungry by then.

We went here for lunch for omakase, and the quality was so incredibly amazing. The service was outstanding and the chef was engaging. The Uni selection was wonderful. Definitely recommend and I'll be there again soon.

This spot was so wonderful! Our waiter was so kind and took us through each fish and its origin. I highly recommend the 15 piece Omakase. Each fish was fresh and clean. My favorite pieces were the botan ebi, toro, golden eyed snapper, green eyes, amberjack, octopus, and uni. The only piece I didn't care for was the mackerel.

Wonderful Japanese sushi restaurant frequented by true sushi fans and Japanese New Yorkers. I enjoyed the sushi set b that included fish from Boston and from Japan. Can't wait to go back.
Be the first to ReplyGood quality fish and service, so +one star.
But too small in size unfortunately. I understand that the business is not so easy...
Be the first to ReplyExceptional and authentic sushi experience.
The quality of this fish and the manner in which it was prepared and presented was outstanding.A culinary delight!
Be the first to ReplyFreshness and quality of the fish is top notch here.
This is a traditional Edo sushi and they are expertly made. Don't come here expecting to get a Philadelphia roll or some other non-traditional sushi.Although they have excellent sushi, they are otherwise quite unremarkable, which is why I took off a star. The interior is clean but very plain. Maybe that's the point. You come here for the fish. But at the end of the day, in modern dining, we eat with our eyes as well as our mouth. I think this place is most appropriate for a nice, expensive lunch. Personally, for dinner, especially with clients or a date, I would find some place with better interior.

I was truly shocked to see that the reviews for this restaurant were as high as they were. I decided to eat here after I was in the neighborhood and looking for a good sushi spot. I was so extremely disappointed. The take our sushi I order to my apartment for $20 was better than this $150 omakase. Fish was average, rice was cold. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because the staff and service was lovely. Don't waste your time on the food though.
Be the first to ReplyNever heard about this place but turned out it's been
Never heard about this place but turned out it's been around for a while. Went there Monday lunch, it's very empty because I showed up at 1.30pm.Service is neat, I don't know how the server hold the ceramic tea cup because I can't even touch it for solid 15 mnts but she can do it flawlessly LOLI have no food allergy and restriction. That's why I wanna do omakase. Bring it on and I will eat it. The scallop is so so sweet, that's how fresh is the fish. The quality of the fish is excellent. Have to order a side of sushi rice on the side and please have miso soup after u are done with your meal
Be the first to ReplyGreat service.
Very fresh fish. Portions were smaller than I expected but was very happy with the experience
Be the first to ReplyThe fishes are very fresh and tasty.
This time we tried $145 Omakase sushi and Sashimi. Next time we will try $180 chef's tasting menu, should be more sushi. This is pretty good portion, because is evening, we didn't want to see a lot. It's good price. Should try

This is place is a joke of a restaurant. Long waits and inconsistent quality.

Made reservations for 6:30 pm for dinner but we were running late so I called to move the res for 7 and explained to them that we were trying to make a show. Not only did they move my reservation but they took my order for omikase in advance so they can have it ready for us when we got there. The sushi was some of the best sushi I've had and the service was excellent. We were also able to make our show. Great experience!

Anyone who is not giving this place five stars is not eating at the omakase counter. This is the best east midtown sushi lunch! They have chefs who've worked in many places in the city. Pretty great selection of hikarimono and more interesting fish ... especially for a place that largely caters to the lunch crowd.Love the clam miso, I hope they bring it back!

This is the best sushi restaurant in midtown east, hands down. If you're up for a treat, ask for Chef Warare's omakase. He lights up the sushi bar.
Be the first to ReplyFood was delicious.
I love sushi and this sushi was so fresh and memorable. It is not your typical sushi place with shrimp tempura rolls and dragon rolls lol. They offer shushimi and sushi. Expensive but worth a try
Be the first to ReplyI had a midweek crave for sushi so I made a stop at Sushi
I had a midweek crave for sushi so I made a stop at Sushi Ann! There were only a few tables available outdoor, and the heater wasn't really working so well, but I did appreciate the wait staff trying to adjust it and making sure they did what they could with what they had. I ordered sushi a la carte - getting some of my usual favorites like uni/sea urchin, toro/fatty tuna, king salmon, amberjack, ebi/shrimp and tamago/egg. The sushi quality was decent, but don't expect this to be your 2-michelin stars type of sushi joint - you pay for what you get. Service was prompt and courteous, and the bill ended up to be about $100 before tips (including 10 pieces of sushi and a beer). I would recommend this for a quick sushi fix if you are in the midtown neighborhood.
Be the first to ReplyThis is a great lunch sushi spot.
Generally pretty busy, good service, and good sushi. I got taken here by some dataroom guys and had a good time and thought it was good. I think it's a bit expensive is all
