Sugar Factory or Chuckie Cheese - which is it ?
it wasn't the food that gave this a poor review, but, i would have gone to chucky cheese if i knew that there were going to be 80% toddlers' parties! It would make sense to put these parties of 12 + in the same general area so the kids could act like kids, but they foolishly spread them out so that the noise and screaming was deafening! This is not the way to have a sunday brunch. to start, walked in and the male who seated us was not pleasant at all - bad, bad attitude. left only one menu that had previously been left on the table. there are a ton of options to choose from, (good point regarding the food) but sharing a menu ???? the kids table of 16 had menus - hmmmmm. Food was ok, but hard to enjoy as the table next to us with one adult and 5 children was trying to con her way into getting free food. obviously, no dress code as the white "wife beater" t-shirts at the bar were the norm. food was ok but couldn't enjoy it due to the noise, the server was delightful, but they need to do some serious work if they want this Sugar Factory to make it!
Be the first to ReplyGreat concept. Poor location
This place is a nice concept in the wrong location. We were there on a weeknight and along with other customers had our car towed from a parking lot adjacent to the restaurant . The owners need to post their own personal sign on the door that parking in the adjacent lot is not for their restaurant. The service was terrible that night because the manager had not planned on the number of guests. We waited an hour just for someone to take our order and we had small children. It was awful. On the upside, the food was good, but we couldn't enjoy it with the car having been towed. I had been to the same franchise in Atlantic City, and the taste of the desert was not equal to the real chocolate of the deserts in AC. The outside of the establishment smelled like urine so you could not have enjoyed eating in the outside dining area.

Had such a great time. My daughter wanted to come here with her college roommates to celebrate her birthday. I’m not a big sugar person, but as Dads know, it’s not about me. Ended up having a great time. The menu is so expansive it’s literally impossible to not find something you want. More importantly, the food was all good! Drinks great! Service was the icing on the cake- Yulia and her team were fantastic. There was no request she wasn’t excited to get done. Can’t wait to introduce the rest of the family to this fun place!

Sugar factory sucked the foods took any hour it wasn't busy waiter was horrible and they automatically charge you a 20 percent tip. I was very over price small apple martini was 25 dollars. We were going for desserts and didn't we were so disappointed we skipped the dessert
Be the first to ReplyDisappointed...
I had a reservation made on 3-19-23 for a friend's birthday. We traveled from Texas and looked forward to great food and an even better experience. Walking in the lighting made the resturant look depressed. We looked over the menu and 3 of our party decided to go with the chicken and waffles (previously had them in Vegas at The Sugar Factory)... I needed a little time due to them not offering the wedge salad (I wanted a wedge and wings). Drinks were ordered and food was ordered. When the chicken and waffles were brought out WE WERE DISAPPOINTED that chicken strips was the chicken being served. 3 grown men wanted the real chicken as given in Vegas. And for $30+ a plate, not happy. While the guys were half way through thier meal, thier drinks finally arrived. Meanwhile I'm still waiting for my meal. The waitress smiled and let me kno mine meal would be coming soon. I asked for a soda and she told me all of the sodas "was flat". I smiled. She then went to the next table amd ran off a list of sodas they had. I laughed, because by now I'm really hungry and I have no food. A manager walks by and I ask if they have soda. He says yes we do. I explain that the waitress told me they were all flat. He had a shocked look on his face. He goes to make my drink but sends the waitress to tell me the drink was on the house. Time has went by. The guys are ALL finished eating. The waitress comes back and ask would I like anything while I wait. I smiled and said, yes my food please. She then asked me "What was it you had again". I calmly said "Nevermind, may I have the check". I paid $294 for 3 chicken strips and waffles plates and 3 drinks. If I ever come back to Miami, I will never come back to the Sugar Factory on Ocean drive.
Be the first to ReplySpend your money somewhere else. Terrible!
I took my kids to Sugar Factory because Indianapolis recently opened a location. It was the worst restaurant experience we have had in a long time! The fact that a 9, 14 and 17 year old also agreed, says a lot. The 20% automatic gratuity/service charge was annoying, but it got worse when our waiter explained that an additional 12 %- 15% tip is expected in cash! The food was terrible, absolutely no flavor and the fact that when someone bought an expensive dessert, they would turn the music up so loud that I couldn't hear what my children were saying to me. In addition to this being fairly new the inside already appeared to be falling apart. Decorations were missing from the walls and the 'Shop' was extremely underwhelming. I would suggest that if you are in Indy, don't waste your money or time at this location.
Be the first to ReplyWorst place I’ve ever eaten
I was beyond excited to try this restaurant in Atlantic City which is rather far form me so when I heard one opened inc cherry hill which is 10 minutes away I was sk excited to go. Me,my fiancé, and son went. We had a reservation which yku had to have or couldn’t eat. Mainly because the restaurant itself is as tiny as a pizza place. It maybe seats 25/30 tables tops. Very small and cramped. I got a non alcoholic bowl drink which cost me $37 for it to fizzle and have candy in it. I spent almost $100 on 3 drinks. My sons wouldn’t stop fixing and we spent the entire time cleaning it up. The food itself was so under par I was shocked. The colored burgers which I was dying to try tasted like playdoh. There was nothing special like some signature awesome meal except for the $150 gold burger which I bet doesn’t taste like it’s worth $150. Finally, the service was atrocious. Servers all split their tips at the end of the night (beware til is included on every single check no matter if it’s one or 20 people.) so you won’t be getting any good service because they simply don’t care because they know regardless of their performance, they are getting a tip. So be prepared to never see your waiter and be forever eating there. And above all I’ll never eat there again because in the tip comment it says the restaurant takes 3% of that mandatory included tip for their expenses!!! So it only do you get the money for the check but now you get part of the servers tip as well?! Never heard of slemthing so ridiculous in my life. It’s all hype. The entire place is centered around celebrity appearances and isn’t worth the time and especially not worth the money tk eat here. If you decide to chance it be prepared for sub par service as well as sub par food and experiences. Good luck.
Be the first to ReplyBrunch was cute Wild N Out Theme
We went for the brunch and purchased a Groupon first. The food was good and we stayed within budget. The Groupon didn’t include gratuity and we had to dine at $50 minimum. The atmosphere is cute and the music was hip hop which I loved. It’s right on the beach so no complaints

We stopped in for dessert for my daughters birthday after dinner. There was 6 in our party and the table shared the giant banana split. I cant review the food at this place but the banana split was just average. Portions tend to be very large and its more of a touristy trap type of place in my opinion. I would opt out next time for a nice small cafe with a good selection of desserts rather than go here. I wont return and cant recommend.
