Good chinese !
Tried a couple of the sauteed dishes and they were delicious. When you order a couple of dishes on the weekend and you dont have the lunch special, you can get the scallion pancake free. The scallion pancake is quite tasty but was disappointed there was no dipping sauce.

Took out for New Year's Eve. Nothing special. We do not understand the NY Times review. Must be better in the neighborhood.

This place has good Chinese food. The service is good and the restaurant is spacious. We liked the dumplings and noodles.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent old school food
The food in this place is absolutely delicious and the service is absolutely awesome. The spring rolls are crispy and flavorful. The General Tso chicken is delicious and white rice is fluffy. I highly recommend this place and the lunch special include soup and the portions are almost as big as a full order.

We did takeout so I can’t comment on the restaurant space. But the food is outstanding. What I appreciate the most is the varied choices on the menu — instead of the usual Chinese American dishes, there are lots of different and much more authentic foods to chose from. The dry pot and cumin preparations were especially good, but I also liked the tea smoked duck and sesame shredded beef. Be aware that the heat indicators on the menu are quite accurate; dishes marked with three chilies are very spicy although not incendiary.
Be the first to ReplyYummy. Harder to find Szechuan food. Glad we did.
We were walking through Forest Hills Garden and stumbled over this place. Looked delicious. And we were really impressed. It is typically pretty hard to find good Szechuan food. Very pleasantly surprised. Very yummy.
Be the first to ReplyForest Hills finally has Schezuan, and its good
Great Schezuan offering into the Forest Hllls restaurant scene. I definitely recommend the double cooked pork as its a classic entry into the awesome Chinese regional fare.

We were headed to a show at the Forest Hills stadium and picked eating here because we needed to order & eat quickly and most of the other nearby restairwnts (small) seemed packed but we were seated here right away. The four of us shared two appetizers and three entrees, all vegetarian, We enjoyed what we had, although didn’t venture to the more usual & obscure Asian items not normally seen on many Asian menus.they had nice seasonings and sauces. Our only compliant that the tofu dish (while tasty) was too soft to be picked up with chopsticks so we had to ask for forks, Our waitstaff didn’t speak English well, so we were worried that she might mistakenly bring us pork. They also charged for extra rice which wasn’t a problem, but then we had to ask for it. I would go back if in the area again,
Be the first to ReplyVery good, authentic Chinese
My wife and I were here for lunch. I had "Soft Tofu w. Minced Pork" with white rice and soda from the weekday "Lunch Special" menu, all for $8.95. I enjoyed my lunch and would certainly come back. The interior is fairly simple. The menu lists the kind of food that Chinese people like and most of the customers looked to be Chinese.

Went there with two business associates. Mostly two top tables and not too many 4 or six seaters. Menu leans towards spicy/hot but not all items. Service was good and staff was friendly. Most dinner items were in the 12-18 dollar range. I felt that at that price point a bowl of white rice should have accompanied the meal without an additional charge. If you are used to a bowl of soup or egg roll you will find out its not that type of Chinese restaurant. Its a cut above the standard menu. If you want to try something more upscale in Chinese cuisine this is a good opportunity. The three of us enjoyed our meals. No alcohol served here but in the future we were told.
