Be the first to ReplyDisappointed with the order and service.
Quite disappointing with the order and service. We ordered two Paper Thosai which wasn't even crispy. The saambar and chutney were watery and don't taste nice. Good thing is only the plain pratas that we ordered. It were crispy and soft. And the butter chicken too was really nice with big chicken piece. About the drinks: The Teh C was tasteless that I felt like drinking water...not enough tea powder. Ice Bandung was tasteless too and diluted. The ice Bandung was served in a cup with hole at the bottom and it started to drip after the waiter placed in our table. It eventually made the table messy. We called the waiter and he only replaced the cup but didn't even bother to wipe off the table. Such a ignorant attitude. I also feel that certain prices are not reasonable. Won't even think of going back again. Nothing special and low standard service.

A week ago I went to Springleaf Prata place (Jalan branch), with my friends after the school, it was really such an amazing day we were there for lunch food was delicious and really nice I liked everything about it, perfect!!!
Be the first to ReplyPoor Telco Signal
10 out of 10 times I go to this branch at Jalan Tua Kong , the telco signal is zero or only 1 bar The owner should provide free wifi for customers especially if customers want to pay via the app You canโt have every customers stepping out of the shop trying to get better signal to pay via app This is totally unacceptable especially the staff is aware that this is a known problem and always asking the customers to go out of the shop to get signal

Not the very best pic as we already were halfway thru the meal. Today was exceptional - the egg, and onion, pratas were crispy and made fresh without being oily. And the teh tarik complemented the meal.

Be the first to ReplyStandard has gone down the drain.
Standard has gone down the drain. Their supposedly best in class prata is but a pale shadow of what it used to be, and you have to deal with surly overentitled servers. It's now another millennial wannabe overpriced prata cafe that has some retarded policy about customers having to clear their own tables.
It's Casuarina now for my Prata fix. Permanently banning this dump.
Bad experience and completely disappointed...
I used to visit this place in the morning after golf - nice place, cosy. But in recent times, the service level has deteriorated to a point that they are rude to their customers. For example, we ordered dine in and take-away. Whilst we have just completed our dine in and the take-away is not ready, they asked if we could give up our seats for other customers which we obliged. When asked where can wait for our take away, we were told to wait at the cashier because it would be ready soon. But it took more than 20 mins and by that time, another staff came to chase us away saying we cannot wait here at the cashier. My wife responded and the lady shouted back at her and say my wife was rude to her (???). The people sees this and just ask my wife to stay at the location. Then the restaurant manager came and asked us to wait at the seat nearer the door, we moved. Only to have another staff come 2 mins after to chase us out of the restaurant. We are your customers, not a ball that you can kick around. This is the last time we will dine at this place and I hope everyone will take heed and not go there for such treatment. FYI, I've written in to the restaurant's management asking if they would like to clarify what happened - they didn't even bother to reply. That's the new customer service standards for us. Food-wise, the quality has also started to decline. Hope this helps future diners make their wise decision not to get such bad experiences as customers.

I have ordered mutton Maggie gorang extra spicy that cost me $7.50. First of all itโs not spicy (no chili visible) and secondly itโs not the usual taste. Yes, Iโm a frequent customer. I know how the usual taste like. When I asked it can be changed, I was been turn down. I am pretty upset that I could not enjoy their Maggie gorang. I had to leave with an empty stomach.
Be the first to ReplyThe pratas we ordered were pretty good and the drinks decent.
We visited this eatery sometime ago but left without eating as it was full with quite a queue. We can back again on a Saturday night for supper. It was again full but we were next and got a table shortly after.
We ordered a cheese prata, paper prata with milk and sugar, 2 plates of Maggie goreng, and a Murtaburger (their twist of the Ramly Burger). For drinks, we ordered Milo C, Iced Milo and milk halia. The pratas we ordered were pretty good and the drinks decent. Service was quick too, with the food arriving shortly after the orders were placed. Drinks arrived later.
The eatery at Jalan Tua Kong is quite a walk from the main road, and most of its customers probably either drive there or stay in the neighbourhood. Pricing is slightly higher than the usual 24 hours prata eateries, but food is good.
Bad quality tea and curry chicken ever!rude staffs.
The food is extremely lousy..chicken taste like rubber.gave us wrong orders for our foods and drinks also, the tea have no taste of tea at all changed 3 times still have no taste of tea ..only taste of sugar water.asked for a simple change of other drinks or refund if they can't make a simple proper tea but they refused.what kind of operation is this in Singapore..it's just a cheap few dollars tea and they want to keep the money.its unreasonable but fine with me to let them this small money.shame on this company..!will inform all my friends not to let this full of foreign worker staffs spoiled our dining experience.not sure why they can hire so many foreign workers and still managed to make such lousy foods . might be using construction Indian workers. Authorities should check to ensure they not using phantom workers or illegal workers.
Be the first to ReplySpringleaf Prata at Railmall standard has dropped
I went on 31st Dec with my fly and ordered large chicken murtabak with teh halia. They gave me normal tea and later after I complaint to them, they gave me a horrible tea halia so much diluted. Also the murtabak was so blend, the chicken fillings so blend. I told the waiter that the murtabak is tasteless. He said will feedback to his manager. I guess the standard has dropped at railway mall. The waiter are so unfriendly too. Not value for $$$ this place!
Be the first to ReplyReasonably good food
For its price, Springleaf offers above average food. The meat and the teh halia are decent for the price. To be fair, as one cannot expect top notch quality food by paying lower end prices. The curries have a good amount of spices, which is beyond expectations for a simple restaurant. Hope Springleaf will continue to work hard and feed many humble folk for the years ahead.

The food was delicious! Their price was reasonable and a nice place to chill here at NEWest. The staff was attentive and service was good. They have many different kind of specialities for selection! My only choice here at NEWest!
Be the first to ReplyGreat food
An excellent neighbourhood prays restaurant that only locals frequent.
A wide range of prata and other related foods. All done in a crispy style.
bomb prata ftw!
love the bomb prata here - it's literally bomb of butter and sugar in every bite. the other prata such as mozzarella cheese are equally good! Springleaf is a good place to eat if you want a variety of Indian and Southeast Asian cuisine
