Spice Symphony New York Reviews from The Last Year
Food was terrible.
Service was extremely slow. Lights were so dim we couldn't read the menu or see the food (which may have been for the best).
Great food great service must try their indo Chinese
Great food great service must try their indo Chinese recipes. Chicken lollipop was mind blowing. The Manchurian dishes are must try and the Triple Shezwan is a dish worth driving to.
A different cuisine in our New York week
Excellent Indian cuisine...good and plentiful dishes, in a nice place, with very friendly staff. Good price, especially given the costs of Manhattan restaurants
Just average
This review is for the West side location. Great decor and vibe!!! Lunch pre-fixe was just ok. The chicken kebab and naan were drenched in butter. The lamb - Rogan josh - was weird…hard, dry pieces of meat that didn’t taste like lamb but overcooked beef within a few tender, beautifully prepared lamb pieces. I’d try it again for the biryani or tandoori options.
Falak our server made our birthday dinner special!
The service from Falak was outstanding especially considering it was a birthday dinner She made great food suggestions which we would highly recommend. The spinach chaat appetizer was unique and delicious. The Dhaniwal Korma was also unique and that sauce was fantastic. Lastly, the Chicken Tikka Masala was the best we have had anywhere. Thank you to the owners as well who also wished my wife a happy birthday. It was a great meal and experience!
Delicious Indian Food
It would be easy to walk by this restaurant as there is very little signage. We went into the restaurant on a Sunday evening and was surprised it was quite busy but we did manage to get a table. The service was friendly and efficient. We ordered a starter and a couple of main courses (which came with rice) and a naan bread. However our starter was not delivered. When we questioned this the waitress was very apologetic and ended up giving us a complimentary dessert. This was very much appreciated. Our main course was delicious and we would recommend this restaurant.
Excellent place very good service it’s very clean kulfi was very amazing we tried panner chilly that was best
Best Indo Chinese I have ever had Staff is very friendly Nisar helped alot and very sweet Ambience is very good it’s a nice date place
Excellent Service
Visiting NYC with family and not familiar with Indian food so this was a new experience for my husband and I. Our son & daughter-in-law recommended this restaurant and made a reservation - good thing because it was very busy! The staff were very helpful explaining the various dishes. Our water glasses were constantly refilled. The food was delicious. I had the Symphony Chicken Tikka Salad (mild as I can't handle spicy) & my husband had the Sweet & Sour Chicken (he prefers Chinese!!). There were so many options on the menu that our grandsons (10 & 13) took ages choosing - one had Lamb Chops & the other Ginger Chicken with Broccoli. Portions were ample and everyone enjoyed their meals. Our son & his wife believed it was best Indian food they had had in quite some time!
YUM
What a terrific restaurant! Large, varied menu. Our congenial waiter described the evening’s specials accurately and expressively, helping us choose a delicious meal which was perfect for us. He steered us away from ordering too much food, and toward the perfect, but very reasonable, wine to accompany it. A tasty cocktail of vodka, rose water, pomegranate juice, grapefruit juice and crushed cloves got us off to the right start. Two drinks, a bottle of Cabernet, a starter, onion bread, a main, one dessert—all told, our tab before tax and tip was $130–a steal! Our second visit, and we will be back.
The best meal I’ve had in a long time
Absolutely superb. I had the butternut squash soup and shrimp patia which were both very flavorful. My husband had a chicken lollipop appetizer and a lamb curry. We shared a garlic naan. The food was only enhanced by our amazing host, Nasir. It was such an unexpected treat to find. We will be back soon!
Great Lunch Value!
I had a delicious meal at an excellent lunch value price. I made selections on the lunch special and couldn’t eat all that was served

Food was delicious, cocktails were fantastic and the service was best of all. really enjoyed it and highly recommend them before a show near Times Square or anytime. will definitely go back often!
Excellent Indian Food
The food was delicious. Service was attentive. As vegetarians there were many excellent choices for us. A special shout out to Nisar, the restaurant manager, who made us feel very comfortable
Probably my favorite Indian place in the city.
The paneer makhani is very flavorful and delicious. It has the right amount of spice that is needed in the mild especially since this isn't supposed to be a spicy dish. One time I asked for spicy and they added so many green chilies it was unbearable to eat but every other time the paneer has been perfect. We were a fan of there schezuan noodles as well as their chili paneer. Would recommend eating there.
This used to be my favorite Indian place to eat at.
The quality has gone down, I find hairs in my food. The yogurt is watered down and I had a horrible allergic reaction to the fake food dye in the dishes. I didn't even know I was allergic to food dye but I went to the ER last night because my face and through blew up. I would say eat at your own risk. I didn't even get a refund.
It's been a few years, but they still got it.
Just got the lunch special with Palak Paneer and a Coriander Soup. All were properly spiced, India style, too hot for most tourists. Reminded me big time of when I lived in South India. The Lunch Special comes with Rajma and Naan and Rice. Also a great not too sweet Kheer.
Who are these people who liked the food from this
Who are these people who liked the food from this place? Most terrible food ever! Everything we ordered was so bad- it was nothing like Indian Chinese about it. Never order from there.
Food was great and the service from Monji S was excellent.
The ambiance was very suiting to the restaurant aswell.
This place is a hidden gem! The lunch special is outrageous.
I posted the menu to this review - there are so many options for everyone and it is so well priced! ALL YOU CAN EAT INDIAN FOOD for less than $20 in Manhattan?? I'm honestly shocked this isn't on every lunch deal website ever. Great laid back ambiance and very kind and attentive staff. Fast service. No complaints at all.

This is a well priced, unassuming Indian restaurant with largely anything you could want on the menu. Definitely recommend the Hakka noodles.
