Wow. Great food AND service
I was astounded by how well served we were here. Itโs probably the quickest and best service I have seen in my life. Food was also outstanding. Try the prime rib agnoletti or lobster linguine. These guys are apparently the โlittle sisterโ of a place with two Michelin stars. Theyโre a pretty good spot in their own right!
Be the first to ReplyStay Away
Upon arrival (5 minutes late for our reservation, but we called to let them know) we were told we had 1 hour and 45 minutes to eat. Waiter was rude and food was average. There are so many other wonderful places to eat - stay away from Sorella
Be the first to ReplyExcellent Food, Wines by the Glass
We went here for the first time recently, having been to the previous incarnation, 1760, as well as Acquerella. Our high expectations were more than met. We shared the crab salad as a starter, which was excellent, with plenty of crab, as well as the ahi tuna, which was superb. The breaded olives were very tasty. As mains we had the agnolotti and lamb osso bucco. The agnolotti was delicious and will be ordered again. The osso bucco was on polenta, perhaps a bit heavier than I would have liked. The wines by the glass, while no bargain, are top-notch. The Terlano was great with our appetizers, while the Conterno Nebbiolo and Guado Al Tasso Bruciato went well with our mains. The chocolate budino dessert was great as well. Service was excellent. The only reason it gets 4 stars and not 5 is 5 is reserved for high-end restaurants with unusual menu items, not because of the food or service. We will return.
Be the first to ReplyOH , SO DELICIOUS!!
This was our First time at Sorrela. There were 4 of us and we ordered a variety of dishes to try: *Dungenous crab salad- Very tasty *Breaded olives -crunchy and yummy *Winter chocory salad- 5 stars. *Griiled razor clams- 5 clams, fresh and tasty with a delicious sauce!!! *Kusshi oysters- 4 pieces , loved it *Llano seco pork chops -huge portion for meat lovers, supurb and tasted like it was grilled over charcosl *Strip bass-delicous tender filet with clams. (Ate everything but the clam shells) *Squid ink Linguini-tasty pasta dish! *And we all shared an assortment of delicious desserts too numerous to mention! And wine, wine, wine ,wine and more wine!!! The food was tops. Every dish we had was a dining experiece. Fresh and Full of flavor. Service was tops. I didnt catch our waitresses name but she was very attentive. We accidently spilled a glass of half empty wine and she replaced it with a full glass. We started at 6pm and the restaurant was still full when we left at 8:30.(Sunday) We will definitely be back !!

A nice spot just far enough away from union square and close to pac heights. Food, drink, everything was solid. Will return.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent meal at the bar
We had reservations but liked the vibe at the bar and decided to eat our meal there. Iโm so glad we did. This is a great restaurant, but the tables do seem a little tight, particularly for couple. Sitting at the bar was a great choice, and the food was superb from appetizer to dessert. We started with a Gazpacho shot and the deviled eggs. Both were delicious. For dinner I had the pork belly, and my husband had the corn coconut ravioli. Again, both delicious. We finished with the Intermezzo strawberry sorbet and the pistachio panna cotta. Very attentive service from the bar staff and great recommendations. Loved it!!
Be the first to ReplyExcellent food, service and wine service!
We had an excellent experience on our first visit - every item we ordered was prepared perfectly! The sommelier selected an Italian white wine to go with our food selection - it wasn't expensive and perfectly paired with the food and the warm weather. Our server was excellent as well. The atmosphere here is very casual, but the experience is fine dining. I would go back there again.
Be the first to ReplyGreat Find
On a recent SF visit we were introduced to 1760 in the Nob Hill district. Great casual dining and obviously a favoured spot by many...Shared Plate concept along with GREAT wines!!! Highly recommend .
Be the first to ReplyVery good food
Had dinner here. We did not know it. But the food is really high quality. Great service. Highly recommendable. My favorite was the scallops.
Be the first to ReplyLove this tapas style restaurant
We were recommended to this restaurant by a friend in the U.K. and we werenโt disappointed, lovely sharing plates of food, everything we ordered was absolutely delicious ๐ we loved the deep fried olives stuffed with sausage, ( I know what your thinking but they were gorgeous) a definite must to try,and the spare ribs were amazing, my husband never eats spare ribs but he tried them and loved them. We had plenty of other dishes like the deep fried chicken bites and the mushroom shot, fries with Parmesan and truffle oil and more, we ordered 7 plates two from the starter 3 from the smaller plates ad two from the larger plates, everything was superb. We then had to try dessert, so we opted for the panna cotta with pistachios and coconut ice-cream which was very light and tasty and the banana tiramisu, strange you may think but it was lovey. I had the Chardonnay wine and my husband had the Amerone red wine, both were lovely, if you like sharing plates and trying more than one dish you wonโt be disappointed, staff were lovey and friendly and very helpful as this was our first visit and we were unsure of how much to order. If ever we are back in San Francisco we will definitely come back to 1760.
