I try to make it to Sonneys whenever I'm in Tahoe.
I've gotten the bbq platters but this time I got 2 brisket tacos and a pulled pork taco. The pulled pork was good but the brisket was absolutely amazing, heaven! I am in love with the brisket tacos. My kids got a pulled pork sandwich and a brisket sandwich, they were both delicious as well. Here's a little tip... If you order onion rings, put the mustard sauce on them. I almost forgot to include the PIG WINGS in my review: the pig wings have got to be the best thing on their menu. Wow I cannot tell you how amazing they are(they're better than the brisket tacos). You've got to eat some!!

The food for me was just ok, nothing really excited me, and honestly it sucks because I really do love Bbq, I'm not going to say the food is horrible but I won't say its delicious either it was just really Mid, this restaurant definitely has potential to be a Hit. On a good note the environment is very family oriented and gives off those wholesome cookout vibes. The server did an excellent job and held her position down. So thank you for that. I still say give them a shot and see if you like it.

Really good BBQ
This place had great BBQ. I had a Brisket Sandwich and my wife had a Pulled Pork Sandwich. Both were very tasty. Their sides were phenomenal. We had the Jalapeno Corn Bread, Onion rings, and potato salad. All were excellent but the Onion Rings were especially incredible. I wish this were closer to home so I could try more food as the Macaroni and Cheese Balls seemed very interesting. One warning: if you are not a fan of dogs, it is a very dog-friendly place. A dog actually hiked its leg up while we were there and peed on the floor (Ugh). We told the waitress and seemed like no big deal and no effort to clean it up while we were there. Not a fan of that but the food was great.

We were greeted by the hostess whose voice pierced through the entire restaurant. It was an awful dining experience due to her loud unprofessional manor. We also waited over 45 minutes to get waters and had to ask for our server. Food was okay but the fried pickles were extremely undercooked and we sent them back. The looks of the staff made me question how sanitary the food. Overall awful experience sadly.
This place is excellent.
Great service, spacious indoor and outdoor door seating options. The food looked good and tasted even better. Happened upon it after a hike at Glen Alpine Falls. Husband got the beef brisket (yum) and beef rib combo. Got the half rack. Delicious. Sides and sauces were great too. Easily the best BBQ we've had in a while.
This is a bbq meat lover's delight.
We split the pork and beef rib plate along with collard greens and black beans. Pork ribs were fall off the bone. Beef ribs were succulent.

Food looked and smelled really good but I wouldn't know if it tasted good :( Was seated promptly after arriving but after our server grabbed us some water, no one spoke to us for 30+ minutes. The server finally came back he just asked us "if we were ready" ... my guy I've been sitting here in this 80+ degree room for half an hour with an empty cup of water, I'm most definitely ready to order; no "sorry for the wait" or anything. We were already about to walk out, but I wanted to just throw a Hail Mary and ask how long the food would take to come out and our server shrugged and said "I dunno *long puase* maybe 20 minutes?" Maybe a bit harsh but if it took 30+ minutes just to come take our order or ask if we wanted drinks I highlyyyyy doubt the food would be out in 20 minutes. All in all we were there for about 50 minutes and left sweaty and hungry. 2 stars because I didn't actually get to try the food so I feel like 1 star is a bit harsh... -5 stars for service. I would suggest to the business owner to stagger the seating if they're having trouble with order volume and to encourage servers to communicate long wait times.

We had lunch today at Sonney's BBQ Shack Bar & Grill and it was a delightful experience. The rustic BBQ joint has a cozy, dog-friendly vibe and a lovely tree-set patio that adds to its charm. We ordered the beef brisket salad, beef ribs, and St. Louis pork ribs. The beef brisket salad was packed with flavor, featuring tender, smoky brisket atop a fresh bed of greens with crunchy tortilla strips, red onions, and a sprinkle of cheese. It was a perfect blend of textures and tastes. The beef ribs were a highlight - juicy, tender, and perfectly seasoned. They came with a generous serving of crispy fries and a slice of moist cornbread that had just the right amount of sweetness. The ribs were smoky and had a rich, meaty flavor that BBQ lovers will appreciate. The St. Louis pork ribs were equally impressive. They were fall-off-the-bone tender with a delicious smoky crust. The sweet potato fries served on the side were crispy and a great complement to the savory ribs. Another slice of that delicious cornbread rounded out the meal. Service was very good. The staff were friendly, attentive, and ensured that we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. Sonney's BBQ Shack Bar & Grill offers a fantastic BBQ experience with great food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended for BBQ enthusiasts looking for a casual and enjoyable dining experience.

We were waiting to have a meal we could give 5 stars to and Sonney's was it. We were there early so we were able to get a parking spot but it was packed when we left. Outdoor or indoor seating and we chose indoor (music was a little loud but it was fine). Good sized pulled pork sandwiches, the burger was excellent, and the ribs had a great smoke flavor. Ribs weren't fall off the bone tender but they were still good. Nice choice of BBQ sauces to complement the meat. My only complaint was that they serve Pepsi-what's up with this SLT?.

We drove by this restaurant to another destination and knew we were coming back just from the smell. Our food was AMAZING (1/2 chicken combo with 2 ribs ff and huge side salad along with cornbread) our friends shared a Cobb salad and tater skins with brisket. We were seated immediately. Our waitress Tina was TOP notch. You couldn’t ask for a more friendly, caring person. She gave us a good tip on a spot in Tahoe that we went to. She was right it was beautiful.

If the service was better, maybe we could have enjoyed it but our server had “6 tables!” So she never checked back?! Sounds like a poor excuse for lackluster service :/
Solid BBQ though the kids menu is not a great deal
Solid BBQ in South Lake Tahoe. The baby back ribs were solid and their wide selection of sauces were delicious and greatly appreciated. Of the sides, the fries and potato salad were our favorite. Unfortunately, the slider on the children's menu was kind of a joke. The burger was tiny, and definitely not worth $9, even with the included side. The slider was literally two bites worth of food. As a result, my rating is 3 stars instead of 4.

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.

It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
