A REAL TREAT
Have been trying Cambodian restaurants in the old part of Lowell for a few months. Got to this one recently and we were very happy with it. Great food and very pleasant atmosphere. Will try it again on our way soon.

Went here with some friends and wasn't sure what to try, my friend recommended soup or Loc lac, I got the soup (beef) it was very good and a large bowl more then what i could eat. it was very good

What a treat! Tucked away in an older part of Lowell this Cambodian restaurant's menu is filled with specialty dishes as well as great looking chicken wings and fried fish. The spring rolls were large, flavorful and freshly made. My husband's soup featured yellow noodles, lots of tripe and other proteins. He declared it delicious. I went with the pad Thai which was a cop out given such a robust menu but it's something I generally order on a first visit to this type of restaurant. It was a huge serving and came with a wonderful bit of finishing heat. I had two more meals from my one order and it just kept getting better. When asked what we should order on our next visit our server was very enthusiastic about the salads. In looking at the menu again they do seem to be very complex and flavorful. If you enjoy Asian food this is your place in Lowell. Service was excellent and the prices wonderful. Can't wait to go back. Also, this is a very family oriented restaurant so children are quite welcome.
Be the first to ReplyGood food but inconsistent service
This corner restaurant serves wonderful authentic Cambodian restaurant. Downside is parking can be tough as the lot is small and street parking is limited with the fire hydrant in-front of the business. The restaurant also pushes its catering side with huge menu boards with their catering prices. You can get a small tray of wings for 30.00 or a large tray of fried noodles for 60.00. The posted menu photos is also good for those who are accustomed to Cambodian food and wants to see what the menu offerings look like before diving into it and ordering it. This place is a mom and pop's type of shop. Don't expect 5 star service but they are friendly and willing to accommodate. Don't be surprised to see the owner/manager prepping food in the dining area (is this servsafe acceptable?) My go to dishes are the hot pot and French beef salad. Any of the rice plates are affordable and delicious as well, starting at $8.50. Portions are huge! When eating Cambodian food, I prefer to order "family style" and order a few dishes to share for the table. Prices is wallet friendly and usually comes out to $10-15.00 a person (unless you order the hot pot with extra fixin's)
Be the first to ReplyGood food, probably not for beginners
This is a Cambodian restaurant for people who are familiar with Cambodian food. If you are a first-time Cambodian diner, you should probably look elsewhere, because the menu and waitstaff aren't particularity helpful in explaining the food. If you have a familiarity with Cambodian food or are particularly adventurous, you will have a great meal here. The interior isn't much to look at, but the food is really, really good. I'm usually here on weekends and it's always packed. There is a tiny parking lot behind the restaurant and one across the street, but you'll likely need to find a spot on the street. You should know that your waitress won't come to the table with the check when you're finished - go up to the counter to pay.

Fast and friendly. Cheap and affordable food with authentic recipe. I love the relaxed atmosphere. My mom loves coming here for their food when she's too tired to cook. Recommend for people that likes to explore new cuisines or loves Cambodian food
Be the first to ReplyMy favorite traditional Cambodian food
I love their spicy sautéed frog legs and spicy sour beef, tripe and whatever else goes in there with Chinese water grass and Thai eggplant soup. I would have this with white rice. They are one of my favorites. The frog legs are good chunks of meat sautéed with lemongrass and other herbs with bell peppers and onions. The soup is aromatic with a slight of spiciness and sourness. The only two things I eat from here, but if you're not brave enough...order beef lok lac with white or fried rice. This is a popular dish...it is marinade beef cubes sit on top of iceberg lettuce, sliced tomatoes, and sliced cucumbers. It comes with a sauce... salt with black pepper and vinegar to dip in. It is a very casual place...no need to dress up.
