They messed my food up and refused to give me the workers name. Once I decided to let them know ow my food was messed up they wanted to give me free food and a refund however that's not the point. I lost my appetite because they ruined my food. Maybe if I spoke Spanish they would be able to understand me correctly. I give this place a 3 out of 10 you are better off making tacos at home with your eyes closed.

Been going to this location for years, but the quality has definitely dropped off. Guessing the original owners sold out or the children have taken over. Seems like who ever has decide quality is over quality when it comes to stores. Leaving the original store to struggle, time to get food takes so long that you might as well go to more traditional restaurant. When you do get the food it is usually good, but definitely tell there has been changes in the quality. The store ambiance is nice thankfully because you will be waiting. My favorite thing to do is look at the mural on the north wall and wish ponchos was still in az. looks like might need to make a trip to texas just to go to the last ponchos.

I love the food and coming to this location, but when I online order I leave a tip, and then when I pick the food up I get handed another receipt to sign that has another tip option to fill out. Right above this is the first tip I already left and it's printed on there. I'm just not sure why i'm asked to tip twice every time I pick up an order.
Be the first to ReplyQuite possibly the slowest restaurant I've ever been to.
Ordered a taco salad and three soft tacos. Took well over forty minutes to get the food with minimal people inside.
Be the first to ReplyVERY mediocre.
Prices okay but they need to add more flavor. The "ricos" around the valley are better. It was the same taste as if you made this from home with grocery store ingredients. The people in Scottsdale that like this joint pronounce tacos..."Take-coos"

This was a cute little Mexican joint with decent prices and excellent service. It was an order at the counter and they bring it to you type of restaurant. Very casual dining for sure. I just ordered their most popular dish and it tasted pretty good. It definitely filled me up and the complimentary chips and salsa was definitely a plus.

I've been coming here since 1990 or so, lately the service and quality has slipped. This visit, I just ordered a chicken burro at the counter, 27 minutes later I went back to counter and asked if I could cancel the order, I was tired of waiting. The manager said "it just came up", when actually it looks like it was just siting there. It was cold, probably sat on that counter for 20+ minutes. They seemed to be focused on drive-thru pick up customers and were not paying much attention to in-person diners. I'll still go back someday, maybe.
Be the first to ReplyChips were cold and stale.
Red chili sauce tasted bitter. On the plus side the rice was exceptional. Service was good.

The staff was friendly, food was good, and the price is right. They were nice about my 10-month old being a messy eater and cleaned up after him. We'll be back.
Be the first to ReplyGood food, reasonable prices.
This is one of our go-to places for a casual meal out when we don't feel like cooking. The food is consistently good. The hot sauce in particular reminds me of the stuff I grew up with at my favorite hometown restaurant. The space is always clean and bright. Even when crowded it's not terribly noisy. And the price is right. They dish out fairly large portions for less than you would pay at a lot of similar places. My only real complaint is that they don't put nutrition information on the website. Not a deal breaker, but as someone who needs be a little careful about what I eat for health reasons, it's annoying.

This food is nowhere near Authentic! I cook better Mexican food than this and I'm African American, no seasoning, rice and beans taste straight out the can and rice packs from grocery store, I've tried different menu items 3 times hoping it would be better than the last, never happened, Taco shells very greasy, shredded beef no flavor, chicken bland, salsa plain, enchiladas no flavor anyway I'm done, these women cannot cook real Mexican food, maybe they cook better at home, I do know how real authentic Mexican food taste, my son's in-laws are Mexican and these people can cook and everything is from scratch, seasoned, flavorful and they also Cater and get rave reviews every time! Sorry Sombreros just my opinion

My wife and I spent a month in Arizona in March 2023 and we had one goal - to eat at a different restaurant every meal for the entire month. Well, we failed, and it's all Someburros' fault. We enjoyed it enough that we ate there three times within two weeks, and we plan to visit their sister restaurant Isabel's Amor tomorrow night. We ate mostly at fast-food type restaurants for lunch each day, so our bar wasn't very high regarding the quality of food we expected to encounter. However, Someburros greatly exceeded our expectations from the moment they served our food on porcelain plates with real dinnerware.Your meal at Someburros starts out like most fast-food establishments by walking up to the counter, glancing up at the menu board, placing your order at the register, and filling up your drink glasses at the soda fountain. After that, the experience becomes more like a quality full-service restaurant. You're given a number to place on your table and when your food is ready it's brought to your table and served to you. Each meal includes a small bowl of homemade chips for each customer along with a bottle of hot sauce to use on your chips or to pour on your meal. The sauce is spicy but it isn't extremely hot by Mexican food standards, however you can request a small container of mild sauce if you wish. You'll also find small plastic cups near the soda fountain to hold hot sauce if you prefer to dip your chips rather than pour sauce on them.We enjoyed all our meals at Someburros, but the standouts were the tasty enchiladas and the green chile verde, both of which rivaled nearly any full-service Mexican restaurant we have encountered. The staff was friendly and helpful, the dining room was clean, and there are plenty of both tables and booths to choose from as well as an outdoor patio. My only very mild complaint was that I ordered an extra side of beans and a side of rice with my meal and the cost was $2.75 each which I thought was a bit high. Other than that we were very happy and we'll definitely return again when we visit Arizona next year.

You would think that this Sunday wasn't the first time you handled orders on a super bowl Sunday . I guess 4 00 pick up means whenever they feel like getting the food ready . I guess that what happens with piss poor planing . Workers in the back working as slow as possible. Tons of people waiting for there pick ups that were supposed to be on time . Somburrros is going down hill . Last time I will be ordering from any location. Thanks for making my mind up for me:)

I've been coming to Someburros since 2004 and have never had an experience like this... we had the absolute worst experience here this time. It was our first time calling in an order and to start, they put us on hold for about 10 minutes and then they asked to put us on hold again. When we got there to pick it up, they hadn't given our order to the kitchen yet. When they finally found the receipt and read it to us, they had added two desserts that we never asked for so he took out a highlighter and crossed it out. We also asked for no garnish but still wanted the sour cream and guac. When they finally gave us our order, we said we'd like a lot of hot sauce and she just said "it's in there" and then handed us the bag and shut her window. So we drove off and when we got home, saw that they got our order wrong, not only was the garnish on there (that we actually asked a few times to leave off) but there was about a teaspoon of each the sour cream and the guac. She only gave us two tiny sized hot sauces and our chimi's seemed like the were just dunked in oil quickly. There was no crunch at all. This experience has left us feeling that we'd never go back there. At least at this location. We're having major buyers remorse

Someburro's food is generally excellent, especially their magnificent green chile. Love the tacos and Mexican pizza as well. Their chips and hot sauce are basic, but tasty as heck. Portion sizes seem to have shrunk a bit over the years, but this is still one of my favorite fast Mexican food places. Why the 4 starts instead of 5 ? Their employees are polite, but man. Talk about the International low IQ Society. They used to have friendly, polite, and knowledgable staff. They're still friendly and polite, maybe not quite as fast as they used to be, but the food is still served pretty quickly. But, talk about being none to bright. This last time I had to ask for the chips and salsa right after ordering, and that's fair enough I guess. But, the guy was confused as to what I was asking for... Confused about what chips and salsa are ? Uhm, yeah... Yeah.... Whokay....

Be the first to ReplyI paid $11.
40 for this really. Everything is getting expensive these days. I like your guys food especially your green chili burrito but if I'm paying money for this then why even come back and keep eating there

The food was really great. I ended up getting the pollo fundido and omg it was so delicious! Service was was fast. You order at the counter and they bring it to you. Ambiance was nice. Will totally come back when I'm back in town.

I have gone to Someburros for 20+ years because the food is always good and it is usually pretty quick. Recently, I have noticed that the service has slipped quite a bit.My wife and I were running errands today and stopped in for lunch. When we got there, I was told that they were out of beef (something that probably should have been on a sign on the door) and we placed our order. As we waited for our food, I noticed that they started telling people that it would be a 25 minute wait for food. We received no such warning and waited for 30 minutes + to get our food. I was in the process of demanding a refund (after all, I had to get back to work) when our food came out.I know that they were busy with the holiday, but the place doesnt seem to run as efficiently or be as well staffed as it used to be. The food was still good, but I could have gone to any number of better places given the time that it took for us to order and eat.I hope I have just caught them at bad times but I think that Taquitos Jalisco is going to be my go-to, quick Mexican place.

I've always loved some brows, but lately they can do better at making the food fresher and hotter like they used to. It still has great drinks and tacos when made right.

Gets more and more upsetting that with rising costs and struggle these days that we get burnt after paying $15 for just a burrito. I pay the rising price but get less because business trying to cut cost yet raise prices to keep up but consumer gets less and less. Ya can say the flavor is good and that's fine but when pile sauces on to cover the 20 lb of tortilla or pile entire head of lettuce on to hide there are no beans on tostada or meat in taco WTH am I really paying for. The cost of sauce and vegetables doesn't compare to the cost of meat and I'm not buying a tortilla with sauce from the menu I want my items filled with something other than garnish and deceiving topping of flavor to cover the scam that I've been sold. For crud sakes filibertos stuffs there stuff with meat and what you pay for. Just have to say with the 7 layer tortilla burro with one layer of ingredients and with the lettuce taco and tostada we got from I would have rather paid less money and ate some filibertos. Someburros just another one added to the many that I've seen take advantage and jump on the shrinkflation bus at the cost of the consumer. Charge me more give me less and more in yr pocket. Regardless of who loves this place next time dissect yr food and see what your actually getting under all that sauce and garnish. Guess I can save what fell off the tostada and make myself a salad tomorrow.
