Sheraton Steamboat Resort Villas Reviews from The Last Year

Amazing accommodations -- so clean and cozy! The room has a stocked mini-kitchen, washer/dryer, and plenty of closet space. Bed was super comfy, and we really appreciated the robes, delicious-smelling bathroom soaps, and late check out. Can't wait to come back to stay during ski season!
Non flexible and limited knowledgeable staff. Amenities not as described before booking.
All bars and restaurants were closed. The staff were unhelpful and had limited local knowledge. Asked for restaurant recommendations that would be open they were not sure. Luckily open table showed some decent restaurants that were available. Hotel was relatively empty but still would not give a late checkout. Pool and hot tubs were meant to be open till 10pm but were closed before 9pm.
Awful and dirty
Just arrived for 5 nights. First time in Steamboat Springs. Called in advance with requests with the understanding that they are not guaranteed, but did not meet one request. The villa is very dirty and beat up. There is hair in the bathroom floor and it feels dirty. The toilet is missing a cap. The floors are sticky and dirty. Nothing has been wiped down as you can see in the pictures. Not comfort at all. The toilet runs all night. We went and bought bleach to clean. It is a two bedroom villa with a view of a rooftop. Don't feel comfortable at all. Called front desk and was told that the owner villas have room priority. I asked if we can be moved and was told no. Asked if we can get a refund so we can go to another place and was told no. Should have booked with the owners and not through Sheraton since we were the bottom of the barrel. Awful way to celebrate a birthday. Won't be back and will go back to are usual Vail where guests are valued. Was excited and now stuck and disappointed. There is no customer service. No one cares. I guess I had higher expectations.
Terrific ski-in ski-out hotel
Terrific location. Rooms were very clean and cookware was in great shape. The ski valet and rentals located in the basement was really convenient. We got takeout from Saddles bar one night and the food was good. I’d highly recommend this spot if you want a true ski-in ski-out experience. You are literally outside of the 2 gondolas.
This is our second time staying here and we had a great
This is our second time staying here and we had a great time. The only negative was the early morning (5:00 am) wake ups from the snow moving front loaders. However, I think that had I brought ear plugs and my noise machine from home it would have drowned out the noise. Which isn't what you think about going to a resort like this, but there you have it. The rooms are comfortable, especially the bed. The sheets and comforters aren't made of polyester so I haven't been waking up sweaty but then cold. I like that they're using big, refillable shampoo, lotion, etc. in the bathroom instead of the single use ones. We've cooked all of our meals in the kitchenette and that has been fine, although we did actively decide against trying the convection microwave for oven things. We've tried both onsite bars and the atmosphere has been fun and the beers were cold although the signature cocktails last night weren't exactly amazing. Oh, and the location for skiing cannot be beat. It's really great.
Perfect for Steamboat!
Very nice hotel - I was surprised! The staff was very friendly, the rooms/bathrooms were generous and clean, the bed very comfortable, the location just perfect and the price compared to the Grant reasonable! Would definitely come bach!!
Great location but beware if you book through Marriottt. BEWARE ROOM 211
I was so excited when I made my reservation though Marriott in March 2023 for a 10 night stay. After reading reviews I knew 211 was the worst room and that is what we were originally assigned. Unfortunately anyone booking through Marriott gets LAST priority. First owners, then renters, then Marriott. Kaythrn at desk moved us Day 2 , Thank goodness she was wonderful and knew how bad 211 was. Overall I was happy once moved but understand your priority. Video and sound wont upload
An employee told us directly that our complimentary parking
An employee told us directly that our complimentary parking pass is good in the oversized lot, and we got a text from the hotel suggesting we park there with a very clear map to the exact lot we parked in. At the end of our vacation the parking lot sent us hundreds of dollars of fines and the hotel says it's my fault, offered me nothing. Truly atrocious customer service.
Got the worst room being platinum
We used to love this property, until this trip. We recommended to people all the times. 1. We were assigned to a room on the 2nd floor, apparently on top of some type of “working area” of the property, there are constant loud noises coming from underneath starting at 12am till 6-7 am. Then there are people running in the hallway in the morning. Sleepless night. 2. Sink is clogged, water goes down very slowly. 3. The room is smaller than the other studio room we stayed in. 4. The bathroom is also tiny compared to the previous stay. Only one person can be in it at a time. 5. Even the hallway our room was smaller and older looking. Some type of cream were on hallway floor the night when we checked in, the next day still there, just dried up. I guess we were in like the “basement” type of area of the property where no one cares about. I don’t expect much being a Marriott platinum, I did not even expect an upgrade. But I also didn’t expect to get the worst room on the property. We could have at least gotten a REGULAR room being Marriott platinum? I asked the front desk about switching a room. The answer was NO. We got an downgrade for being Marriott platinum.

Lovely hotel.
Nice rooms, great jaccuzi overlooking the mountain and Ryland at the front desk was amazing!
Room was not worth the price
We stayed in a suite with a balcony, that we paid extra for, but it was unusable (room 211). It overlooked the exhaust system for the kitchen and was so loud that you had to yell to others on the balcony to be heard -at least it worked as a white noise machine all night. It also smelled like food grease and if you stood out there for more than a few minutes then you smelt like it too. Thankful for the washing machine so we could get the smell out of our clothes. My young nephews called it the hamburger suite due to the smell. Other than the disappointing room, we had a okay stay. The resort was not crowded due to the time of year and the pool was great. Had a lovely view of the sunset from the second floor whirlpool tubs. Our only interaction with staff was at check in and they were quite friendly and welcoming but didn't seem to be around much.
Weekend in Steamboat
The location is great, the building looks like it's brand new, our unit was clean and well appointed. In short, I would stay there again in a heartbeat and hope we get the opportunity to stay there during ski season, although, staying again in Summer or Autumn would also be great.
Pure Bliss
The hotel is beautiful for year round getaways. The rooms are beautifully designed with the most comfortable Heavenly beds. It's close to historic downtown shops and restaurants. Fish creek falls is minutes away. The staff are friendly and professional.
Perfect Location
We had a great weekend trip to Steamboat. The Sheraton is the absolute best location. We rented our equipment from Christie’s downstairs and enjoyed being right at the base of the slopes each day. We had great service from the lobby bar and had wonderful dinners in town. Can’t wait to come back!
Two true hoteliers
I called to ask about parking with an RV to come by with my husband who had started his hospitality career there and wanted to stop in and relive that special time in his life. I spoke with Kim. She was pleasant, personable and helpful. When we arrived, Jonathan the doorman welcomed us and assisted us with parking. They both made a walk down memory lane possible and pleasurable. They made a positive difference in our day and in our impression of the hotel. They demonstrated the true spirit of hospitality and we are grateful. The hotel looks great and we enjoyed our experience.

Prepaid Reservation Fee

When you sell a reservation that has a prepaid fee AT takes a commission on that fee. This doesn’t really make sense because it’s an expense the seller incurs not part of the profit that is shared.
For example:
Carbone NYC fee to book table for 2 is $108.88
If you sell it for $200 on AT you get $140 from them.
Your net profit is $31 and AT collects $60 in fees.
It would make more sense not to charge commission on the upfront fee as this creates a disincentive and results in higher costs for buyers.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
