What do you do when you're sick of pasta after almost two weeks in Italy? Look no further and head on over to Sette Di Vino. It's a very small restaurant (reservation only because they are usually booked) in a small square in Pienza. They do not serve pizza or pasta here but a variety of small plates that are local to the region. It was such a breath of fresh air after all the heavy pastas we had been eating. We ordered the bruschetta assortment plate, the chicory salad, the tomato and burrata, and the pickled veggies. All of them were light and fresh and packed with so much flavor. They only have table wine here and service is typical Italian so make sure you try to catch a server when they are running from the kitchen to various tables serving food. But it's worth stopping by. Even for a light pre dinner before a pasta dinner (which me may or may not have done)

Very basic items but was delicious simply because they were "fresh". White bean soup was very tasty. Arugula with pecorino cheese (local signature) also simply and yum. Grill sausage was a must !!! The owner was hilarious, friendly and comical, what an enjoyable experience! The space was rather cozy but charming. The exterior was superbly charming. Right on a small piazza, one won't miss it when arrives. Highly recommend !

An exceptional little restaurant in a small piazza of Pienza.Sip the local vino with front row seating to heretics being burned at the stake.

This is the cutest place!! The owner is a delight and set us up with such a beautiful table outside overlooking the piazza with shady umbrellas that made it tolerable to dine Al fresco even in a huge heat wave in July. We trusted him to choose some light fare to share for lunch and he didn't or disappoint! We had the most delicious sampling of different crostini with a ricotta, garlic cheese and tomato selection, grilled sausage (wow), panzanella (omg so good) and caprese salad (very good!). The dry white table wine I had hit the spot and my husband enjoyed a cold Moretti beer! Definitely go here for a sweet little lunch when you stop in gorgeous Pienza!

Loved it! So delicious and authentic! One of my best meals of my trip! Bought as much of their olive oil as was possible!

Shared the bean soup, marinated veggies, and bacon with cheese. Yum!! It was perfect! Service was good, and kind.

During researching the town and it's food, I came across Osteria Sette di Vino. Reviews said to let the owner order for you and that they could work with a gluten allergy. Perfect recommendations from the owner! His English was broken, but thanks to Google Translator, I was able to express my dietary concerns. The first course was an assortment of bruschetta on gluten free bread - traditional with tomato & olive oil, ricotta cheese, and melted cheese. They were all REALLY good. The second course was bean soup with gluten free bread for dipping. Also scrumptious. The third course was gluten free toast with a local melted buttery cheese.Really cool, authentic place. I'd recommend going (make a reservation)! Pienza was beautiful and relaxing.

This was honestly one of the most magical places we've ever been. It was three years ago and everything about the experience was amazing. We vividly remember Luchano's kindness and excitement to serve us the best food. We had a local artist paint a picture that we took of the restaurant and gifted it to our friends that were with us. Great food, great surroundings, and unforgettable memories.

It was a pleasant surprise to see that they provide gluten-free versions of almost the whole menu! The ricotta bruschetta with chives was amazing.

As recommended, we let the waiter bring dish after dish to the table. Courses included bruschetta, toasted bread with ricotta and toasted bread with melted cheese and truffle oil. Riboletta soup was delicious. Then some of us had grilled cheese on plate with bacon (and some had without bacon), grilled sausage, marinated grilled artichoke hearts and marinated eggplant. They also brought stewed chickpeas and arugula salad for everyone to share. We also had the house wine and water, and the bill was 25 euros each. Don't miss this place if you're in town!
