Serafina San Juan Restaurant Reviews from The Last Year
Awful. It's not Italian. Do not come
The place looks super nice but it is horrible. Don't come, zero recommended. The prices are very high for the flavor. Everything lacked seasoning. Please do not eat. Very high prices for a simple untasty food
Not bad I guess
Music too loud, hard to talk and hear others, amateurish and slowish service, overpriced food imo, seemingly good quality food but the taste is not there, chicken was rubbery.
Great restaurant! Little expensive but great
Probably one of the best redtaurant i tried[in san juan] little expensive but great food. Located in old san juan, you need to make a reservation.
Service at this establishment was subpar.
We arrived for late dinner around 9:15pm. Our waitress didn't approach our table to bring us water/ checkin until 9:30pm. We ordered the Calamari appetizer which was decent. By 9:50 ish she returned to the table to take entree/drink orders. We ordered 2 dishes, the Limoncello Farfalle and the Chicken linguine carbonara. We tried the passion fruit mojito and basil strawberry martini. Our entrees were ordered and we continued talking and enjoying our appetizer. Several tables around us filled up with new guests and we still hadn't gotten our food. By 10:20, ALL of the tables that were seated after us had already received their food and were wondering by what what going on. Our server NEVER came over to check in with us or provide an update. By 10:30 and still having received no food, we had to ask another server to find our server and send her over. She comes at 10:33 and her excuse was " the food is taking so long tonight" and we mentioned that all the other tables seated after us received their food before us and she said it was because "they just ordered noodles and sauce" . Completely floored by her lack of care or interest in trying to remedy the situation we asked for the manager. (And I hate to be that person, but it had to be done) The Manager comes over and just listens to us and offers a free dessert to make up for terrible service. We declined as we just wanted our food. Our food arrived to our table at 10:45pm. The restaurant closes at 11. By this time all the other tables around us have cleared out and we're the only table on our side of the restaurant. They began rushing us to finish. Overall a really disappointing experience for a restaurant we had on our Must Try list for weeks before we came to PR. The server brings the bill and then stands over us to pay it immediately. The manager gave us a 20% discount. The food was fine but the service here made this experience awful. Wouldn't come back here.
Second time visiting this place and didn't disappoint.
The appetizers were served promptly and these were fresh and delicious! Each entree our group received was simply divine! I personally enjoyed the frutta di mare linguine. Plenty of seafood and pasta al dente! Delicioso!! Service was excellent. Highly recommended!
Avoid at all cost!
Place used to be good! But now that they changed the chef the food quality went down significantly. Calamari no salt on them Pizza undercooked and not the same as prior years. Pricing went up similar to Miami Beach pricing… $12 for a draft beer! Tourist pricing! Place was dirty with chickens running from table to table… would not have expected this from a place charging $10 for a bottle of water and $35 for valet parking with no parking stamp/validation. Based on the above I am not recommending nor going in the future. They are better places with much lower price point and cleanliness in town.
We had a wonderful dinner at Serafina tonight.
We had a large dinner party with diverse orders over three hours. Our waiter ,Ming, was fantastic and kept everything moving the whole time. We order some fan favorites like the prosciutto and fresh mozzarella, meatballs, Calamari, Bruschetta, and Caesar salad for appetizers. The standout for me was the calamari which were cooked perfectly and tender. For appetizers we had the surf and turf, lasagna, the clam and fruity de mare linguini, and chicken paella. All were fantastic and the filet was cooked medium to perfection. The ambiance was inviting, not too bright, they have places for an intimate setting mixed with large tables, and a bar scene that is on Ashford. You can see the liveliness of the busy street traffic with a nice cool and comfortable environment
I was excited to bring my friend from out of town here.
I ate here in 2018 several times and enjoyed the watermelon salad. However this time was a different story. Service was not good and food was below average for the price

We sat outside, our server was nice and I have no big negatives. But I felt the music was a bit loud and the food was merely ok; both our dishes seemed very salty. There was a lot of street noise from the traffic, including loud motorcycles that seemed to come by every few minutes, so if I came back I'd probably sit inside.
Came on a Sunday for a 7:15pm rsvp.
The place was busy and there was a line to check in. We didn't wait long for our table. We sat outside. Our waitress was lovely. I ordered the surf and turf. The menu stated lobster tail but I got a claw and the lobster was tough as hell. The filet mignon was over cooked and looked like a bad cut. I've had filet mignon plenty of times before and it did not look the way it looked at this restaurant. The risotto was delicious and the highlight of my meal. I did not finish the lobster or steak and would not order it again at this place. There is no parking at this restaurant but there are parking garages in the area.
Started with burrata.
It was a good starter. The brick oven pizza was fresh and delicious. The branzino was also delicious if you're in the mood for fresh fish. The service was attentive.

Just as good as the Serafina back in NYC! Huge restaurant, lots of seating and space, and great vibes. The drinks were great! We ordered Calamari and Penne alla Vodka (my personal favorite)! If you have tried Serafina in NYC you have to visit the one in San Juan. I mean even if you haven't had Serafina before you should totally still go here. The drinks were great and even though it was busy, the service was still excellent.
For an Italian at SJU…that's fine
Dinner for two. “Important” prices for a plate of pasta but equally important portions. I shared a portion of meatballs as an appetizer (there were 4 of them and they were very substantial). Followed by a rigatoni bolognese and a butter and sage ravioli. In Bolognese, there is a significant amount of garlic and the ravioli is not very tasty. But for being an Italian, I recommend it if you fancy a pasta dish.
Rich flavors and great ambiance.
I liked the food. Pasta looked fresh and calamari was delicious.
Great food stopped here for lunch and it was great.
We also had the mojito which was very good.
As Good As I Remembered
I dined here in 2017, and was excited to return. I was looking forward to enjoying the Farfalle Limoncello, and it was as good as I remembered! I love the outdoor dining, but the inside has a fun vibe as well. Thanks for another great meal!
Great atmosphere for a few drinks
Great spot for after-dinner drinks. We spent about 3 hours here and loved every minute of it. The restaurant was busy but not too terribly noisy. We got beers, cocktails and shots and laughed the whole evening. The bill was slightly higher than I would have guessed initially. But like my cousin said, "You don't come to Puerto Rico to save money. You come to have fun!"
good besides the fact that i got food poisoning, waitress
good besides the fact that i got food poisoning, waitress was friendly and patio was nice!
Delicious dinner
Delicious dinner, great service! Enjoyed a lovely dinner with apps and cocktails before kayaking. The service was friendly and prompt. We has Caesar salad, calamari and burrata for apps. They were all delicious. We each had a cocktail and a phenomenal pasta dish. Atmosphere is very nice, as is the location.
Great Food
This may be the most popular restaurant on Ashford Ave. Though it was crowded both times we went, they seated us (with a reservation) promptly and the service was terrific. We loved the specialty cocktails and their pizza is outstanding. We got gelato from the stand attached and the strawberry was really, really tasty. Great meals both time we went.

This is one of those restaurants that counts on its location and atmosphere to draw in Tourist customers and then crank them through with no concern for their Satisfaction. Don't waste your time, pass it on by. Overpriced low quality food and rude service.. We received extremely rude service from the hostess on duty. 3/7 Around 9:30 PM. We wanted to simply rearrange our table so that my wife and I could sit next to each other while eating. And she rudely switched it back even though it made no difference to the traffic flow of the restaurant.
Absolutely delicious! Pizza and salad were extremely fresh
Absolutely delicious! Pizza and salad were extremely fresh tasting. Service was extraordinary. I highly recommend Serafina!!
Horrible service, noisy and food quality was extremely poor.
I ordered some spinach and cheese raviolis which were cold and with basically no filling. The sauce was watery.
Service was interesting.
.. it took awhile for a waiter to come to our table (though about 6-7 walked and/or congregated nearby while we waited) and once someone finally did they were giving absolutely nothing in terms of being welcoming, friendly etc. Waiters kept trying to clear our plates with food still on them while we were clearly still eating, and at one point a waiter put dirty dishes from someone else's table on our table to loudly stack a pile of dishes. The food is definitely overpriced and, based on what we had, was not that good. We ordered an arugula salad with parmesan, which came drenched in a heavy vinaigrette dressing with plasticky cheese that looked straight from the grocery store container - for a $20 salad I would expect better. Also ordered bolognese and a linguine with white wine sauce and clams - both were meh. The cocktails were fine (hard to mess up a mojito and aperol spritz) but the white wine I ordered was totally warm. Overall, it was not a good experience. Parts of it would maybe be fine at a lower price point, but when it's billed as a nice restaurant I would expect a certain level of food, service and ambiance to match what I'm paying. I would recommend going elsewhere.
Visited here for dinner while visiting Condado.
Made a reservation, which I think was the right choice since there was a line at the door when we arrived and when we were leaving as well. I had the orecchiette which was very good, it comes with spicy sausage and red pepper flakes, and was, to me pretty mildly spicy but very good! My wife had the rigatoni bolognese which was also very good and had a lot of meaty sauce with it. We both got drinks a mojito and a strawberry ginger fizz mocktail and both came very quickly and were delicious. For dessert we had the mango gelato which I thought was amazing and the tiramisu which was also very good. Our server was very nice and friendly and she was attentive, it was a pleasure! Inside the place had a cool vibe with the doors open and a breeze blowing in it was nice! The waitress said she thought it was cold but we came down in the middle of winter from NY so it was perfect to us! Would highly recommend.
The seafood, Italian, and pizzas are all delicious here.
The staff was amazing all 3 times we ate here! They're doing it right. They also had a larger selection of wine by the glass than a lot of the other restaurants in the area had. The ambiance on the patio was great! I wish I took pics of the pizza and the other meals we had with our friends.
Good food, terrible service.
Nice clean place with cool vibe and above average food, but our waitress was sub-par. Slow drink service, didn’t ask if we wanted appetizer or if we had any menu questions. We ordered drinks and asked for water which arrived 10 minutes after the drinks. Food came out promptly and hot, but waitress did not swing back to take a 2nd drink order or to check on the food. We had to ask for dessert menu and she walked away before we finished the order. Felt like we were pulling teeth to get any service from her at all. Left a 10% tip when we usually leave 25–30% for good service.
Awful
Do not honor reservations. Awful attitude of wait staff. Took walk-ins ahead of people with reservations. Long wait time
Great Italian restaurant in the Condado neighborhood.
The food is really good and the service excellent. It is family friendly but caters to adults only just as well. I had one of the best dirty vodka martinis I've had in a long time. The tuna tartar is spectacular. The pizzas are cooked in a food fired oven located outdoors. It's located on the main avenue, but that offers some unique entertainment. Highly recommended!
Good but not fantastic.
Good but not fine dining. This is a very buzzy and busy restaurant with an excellent vibe. The food is Italian but fairly average and the portions good. Service was excellent and very friendly. Ming I. Particular was great . Lucky that we booked as the queue to get into the restaurant was quite long. Locally very popular but not especially cheap.
I wanted to hate it.
It looks and feels like a tourist trap. Long lines to be seated even with reservations. It's a very busy place even on a Tuesday. But the food was really tasty. Both of our dinners were delicious. I would eat here again.
Pizzas are ok.
, cucumber gimlet a disappointment. If ordering a stella beer, they do have a nice stella glass. Service very nice and atmosphere good.
Managers and Waiters From Hell
This is a Horrible place to eat. The manager is very disrespectfu and lets her coworkers do whatever they want. Waiters don’t greet you or show any type of concern for your health. Because the my do not ask if you have any type of allergies. Food was brought cold and I was never asked did I want desert. All in all I will not come to this place ever again. I was expecting 5 star service received 0 stars. Totally disappointed 😡😡😡😡
Great food,mediocre service
Never disappoints! Service is so so but the food is great. Ben here several times, love the food, service is mediocre at best.
Over-priced food and slow service, but location is great.
We went as a group of eight for dinner on a Friday night, around 8pm. The service was slow, but this could be related to the time we went. Hostess wasn't friendly. Food was over-priced. (Again, this could be because of the location of the restaurant) Margarita pizza was good and hit the spot.

Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

Yes unfortunately they are finding more and more ways to lock up sellers money. Sell thru rate, refund rate, limiting withdrawal amounts ler day and per month (which for me are the same number which makes no sense). Lot of sellers leaving as you can see from the lifetime sales not really increasing. Most posts on here are frustrated sellers which is not a recipe for success

I’m sorry to hear about this - I’m a brand new seller on the platform and didn’t realize this was a *thing* - any chance you can point me to the fine print/documentation where this policy is stated (also identifying other caveats like this would be appreciated)?
